Freezer paper is my fav method for paper piecing and loved the way you explained it.
Wonderful tutorial on doing these patterns. I've yet to start mine and was looking for a 'how to' video. I've done paper piecing using freezer paper previously, but it was done differently than MJ's method. I'm curious if a person could use the method I learned from Sugaridoo for paper piecing. I might just be curious enough to try both methods and compare. We'll see. Again thanks so much for a tutorial, that can be paused and replayed as needed.
I have these kits that I am going to sew for my four daughters so I am glad you showed us how to do it. Looks pretty easy. What valley are you in? I am in the Willamette valley.
Illinois River Valley, LaSalle IL…..to start. But we have stores near the Mississippi, on Lake Michigan in northern Wisconsin, and in Champaign Illinois, too!

I’m so sorry….I don’t remember the pattern name! It is an Open Gate Quilts pattern, though.
Do you buy slightly used sew machines ,I have a janome that needs a home with work table to hold it
