At that point, what happens when you 10 pull? If it doesn’t give you 10 5 stars, then the whole 10 pull doesn’t have the same rate among all the wishes and is really just 10 separate pulls done together, each with separate pity rates

@@mayank5544 I had the same problem! I wished on the Venti banner, won the 50/50 and got him, but the only problem is he's my first 5 star unit and I was hoping to lose the 50/50 because next banner is Tartaglia and I need a second dps.
Right now I main Razor.

@@mayank5544 only issue is his burst is hit or miss with certain characters, like Razor won't be able to hit smaller mobs in Venti's burst

Yeah, you can see that because both or all three of the banners use the same type of wishes. However, the newbie banner that gives you Noel and the standard banner despite using the same type of wishes (Acquaint), do not share pity.
@@MoonLaden so using the current banners as an example, if i get to 89 pulls on raidens banner (which is in first slot) and use my 90th on xiaos (which will be in the second 2nd slot i think) will i get xiao?

I've been wanting to play Genshin for a very long time and just started two days ago, I'm still confused about the game but this video really helped me. Still confused, but rewatching it a couple of times seems to be working. Thank you ❤❤
imagine what you get as cards, and imagine having 90 tcg cards in total split into 9 packs of 10 cards(in case of x10 pull) and there are in total minimum 9 four star cards and 1 5 star card. You pull and if you fail 89 times the last card remaining is the 5 star. The more you pull, the less the cards remaining which leads to the higher the chance of getting the 5 star. There is no pity, no soft pity. It's whatever remains. The 50/50 system is if you got the correct collection of packs. The moment you get your 5 star you proceed to the next collection of packs with what you already got counting as getting it while being being replaced besides the 5 star. The way it is, it's more predatory than buying tcg packs in other words since in there you don't reset and you have a chance of yet another "5 star" in the same collection

Here is some things you missed:
Only a few characters are on the standard banner. Qiqi, mona, jean, diluc, keqing, tighnari and dehya (in 3.6 dehya) You cannot, of now, get any other character.
If there are two limited banners at the same time, your pity Carriers over. But, if you get Xiao on one banner you are not guaranteed to get Yelan on the other one, but it’s a 50/50.

Do you know that if I'm guaranteed if I pulled on the limited banner and I got the guaranteed 5 star early but in the same 10 pull qiqi came right after? Does that still count as losing the 50/50?

Currently I want POLAR STAR BOW. And I am 40 wishes in, still not got it, but I am short on primos. Although I have enough for my next wanted character.
So I want to ask, that if weapon banner changes, does it take away all my 40 wishes ?
I mean currently I only need about 25 more wishes to get a 5 star weapon. But if weapon banner changes, does it restart my pity from 0 wishes?

I know this video is old, but they just released a new mechanic on the featured weapon banner where you can choose what 5 star weapon you want after 3 5 star pulls. Essentially, you gain points after pulling 1 5 star weapon you didn't choose, so once you have enough points (2), your next 5 star weapon pull will be guaranteed to be the one you picked.
This "mechanic" mentioned in the vid never existed to begin with.it is false facts no matter how old it is, since the math behind it is a lot simpler
One of the most annoying aspects of trying to track the pity system is if you take a break from the game over the course of multiple months and try to get back into it because the history tab for the banners only remains for 6 months I believe, meaning that if you come back and try to keep note on how close you are from the pity then you're essentially in the dark until you get that 5 star, which if you're a f2p player and very unlucky then that 90 wishes is going to take a long time until you can even start thinking about strategizing for anything.

If you know you’re going to take a break, record what your pity was before you do so so you can look back on it
the most brutal part of this is the part where Tectone wasted $2000 just for a single Staff of Homa while i've seen other people (F2P included) to get the Promotional weapon they wanted in just 10 wishes.

I didn't knew about the theory of soft pity, but yesterday in the common banner my pity was at 75, I pulled 10 wishes and (2) 5 stars came. I will use this strategy forever
i think thats because from the 76th wish, its actually 20% and downards. so, its not impossible to win the 20% on the 76th, and the 14% on, idk, the 78th

I didn’t realise it was this complicated. I started the game and pulled diluc on my first wish on the novice banner. My friends who had all been playing for ages and had spent money on the game absolutely hated me 😂

Finally, this all makes sense. I counted my pulls and I was at my 65th wish before I did a 10 pull. I successfuly got Ayaka and C2 Yanfei. So I guess I got the soft pity on them. Prior to that, I lost my 50/50 on Eula and got Mona instead. I accidentally got Childe before that (which, honestly, I didn't want). If you're an F2P player, think it's better to save your primogems for 10 pulls rather than doing single pulls. At least you get to C+ some of the characters you already have.

On the Weapons banner, Mihoyo finally gave the option to choose one of the two featured 5 star weapons in the Inazuma update. I hope that brings some relief on that poor TH-camr who wasted 2k just to get a Homa to drop.

what sucks about it tho is that the fate points get reset after that banner ends. So its only worth pulling if u have enough to max out the fate points or u could risk it and try to win or lose. If they let us carry over the points itd be soooo much better like the limited character banners do

Its also wrong in certain areas. The weapon banner now has a three times and then you're guaranteed to get the weapon you picked mechanic.

Hi. If you have those wishes on the event banner, yes. You will guarantee a five star at your 90th pull. Keep in mind that each banner has a seperate pity counter and banners carry pity over (Which means event banner's pitty counter doesn't reset when the rate up characters change.)@@UmarKhan-hp3fb

When you were talking about the soft pity and how there might be higher chances of getting multiple 5 stars, I immediately thought of how I pulled Diluc and Hutao in the same 10 pull when I was at pity.

I used to do single summons only but I've realized that I can never get the chance to score multiple 5 stars doing singles so now I always pull 10 at a time. Besides if I happen to overlap my soft pity it will just carry on to my next pity so that's still good.

I always did 10s just because if i got a 5 star, there will be another or multiple 4 stars in the 10 pulls which would probably not be the case if i did single pull. i did get lucky once to get two 5 stars in a single 10 pull so imo, it really is worth it to do 10 pulls.

I usually care more about the 4 star characters on event banners since some of them can be broken supports like Xingqiu and Bennet.
I don't have any other 5 star character other than the traveler and I don't even use him for anything other than the geo boulders LMAO

I've been watching this everyday, because I'm very anxious to miss my 50/50 with Kazuha. Although I've been saving since the first of June, being a F2P means I've got no guarantee to have him. Right now I'm at 70/90 (without hard pity), and 65 intertwined fates saved up. If I miss the 50/50, I would need to really pray to have enough primos until the banner is over to hard pity. This video is giving me a bit of relief/distraction from having the chance of missing my favorite character in the game, ever.

@@quinn2758 Yeah! I got him in 2 10 pulls in a row, on the first 10 pulls I made on him. Turns out, I didn't have to work for him for his banner. I guess working for an entire summer was worth it

GOD I hope i can win the 50/50 on the rumored Zhongli banner. I've only got enough for 100 ~ pulls and I dont think I'll get lucky like last time and get a Keqing without pity for a guarantee

same im saving for him after i got hutao.. But the problem is does skipping 2 banners even enough to grind primogems to get to pity😭😭 its so hard to get enough primo as an ar50++

getting a non-promotional (non-rate-up) 4* weapon/character also means that you will be guaranteed to get the promoted 4* weapon/character next time. it's applied not only for the 5-stars

since the hu tao rerun is most likely going to start off 2.2. i have been saving up my primos during kokomi i currently have 79 wishes and im at 63 pity without a single 5 star if i dont get hu tao imma quit this game.

I lost 50% with the current banner. I got Diluc. So if i gather enough wishes, i will get Hu Tao 100% my next 5 star. But i.m f2p so....yeah

Thanks for this guide, I’m not good at saving primogems unless I’m really determined to get a five star. This is much more better than doing stupid rituals that In do for fun thinking I will get any luck, next time I’ll carefully count how many times I wished and try to save! :)

Nice video, subbed. I pulled for Xaio this banner and decided to try a couple 10 pulls of the weapon banner hoping to get his Jade polearm. My first 10 pull I got both 5 star weapons and a 4 star. I couldn’t believe it.

My last 5* on the limited character banners was a Diluc (C2 for me) on Xiao's banner. I intentionally skipped Venti's banner, because I need a proper Hydro character on my main team to pair with Diluc and get that tasty vaporize. I'm 67 wishes in, and have 22 Intertwined ready for when the Tartaglia banner shows up. This video is only affirming that, yes, I am guaranteed to get Tartaglia when he comes around.
Just use Xingqiu, imo he's better at applying constant hydro than Tartaglia. Childe is more of a DPS imo
@@italianspaghetti9056 I'm already using Xingqiu on my *other* team, so that's not an option for me. Tartaglia will synergize with both Diluc *and* Fischl, which is why he's going on their team.

Finding out more about that is the sole reason I'm even searching through Genshin pity videos.
