Thanks dude 🤘this is why I’m posting to my channel. There’s so many expert and pro riders floating effortlessly over jumps and gaps. For me they’re still scary! So I want to show what an average old guy can do in the hope it’ll be relevant to others. This is actually so well built it’s easy and massively confidence inspiring. If you can clear the ac/dc jumps, you’ve got this 100% 🤘🤘
My pleasure! Glad it was helpful. I need to be able to visualise making a jump before I’ll commit to it! 😂 probably a good thing but my head game holds me back sometimes..
@@888-mtb getting into it v late (mid 50s) my head is in some ways my biggest obstacle (and technique and fitness) so I fully understand. There’s so much stuff that is pure shredding that it’s nice to see mortals at work:) awsome job you did though, I can barely gap a couple of feet. Cheers !!
Thanks bud. 😀 You’re right with the shift in mental state. I don’t think I was consciously aware of this at the time but looking back, it made a positive difference to my riding for three rest of the day! Just goes to show it’s all in the head! 🤣
Enjoy the journey mate 😀. I’ve been riding for years but never really into jumps until the last 2 years when my lad got into biking. He pushes my limits!! Have fun bud 👍👍
@@stuartdouglass01 I wasn’t going to try it. Then I did ac/dc jumps and came back, after that I could visualise it like a table top and went for it. Once you’ve done it you’ll love it. It’s easier than it looks!
Congrats on getting all of them 🤘Thanks for the tips! I found the corners are tricky to carry enough speed, had to put a few pedals in before the third jump. Did you take a high line then pump down as you come out?
@888-mtb No probs, the vid is on my channel. So I go easy over the first two, keeping to the right for the berm going fairly high. Then to the left on the gap before the berm, again going high ish. Couple of pedals to clean the next gap then you're good for the Booter 😃 It took me quite a while to be honest. Cased the big one first few times before I got the flow.
It took Kara Beal 6 years to be able to do this line so it shows it’s all in the mind, also I saw a kid about 13 do this line easy so I think it’s definitely a fear factor, you did good 👍🏾
Thank you 🙏. Yeah 100% agree it’s the fear factor. I think the first 6 months or so of learning to jump, all those sketchy moments.. they stick in the mind long afterwards. Getting this one was a big confidence booster. I feel better knowing Kara took 6 years! She shreds on the jumps 👍🤘
@@888-mtb first time I went BPW I hit enter the Dragon and went straight otb on the second huge jump luckily the bike was ok 👍🏾..Santa Cruz 5010 definitely not the best park bike of choice!😂
Yoooo thats sick!! Really helpful for my confidence to know that im not the only one afraid of sending gaps

thanks for this so good to see how you approach this, stage by stage

Yesss!! This is me every time😂 i love the immediate shift from nervous to chuffed😅

Great video mate 👍👍 I have just started riding, I’m looking forward to putting my bottle and bike to the test 😂

Thanks bud 👍 the bike is giving me new confidence at 50+ to try new things!😂 🤘
Nice work bud!
Thanks bud, it’s all in the head.. usually anyway! 👍

Nice and on an Atherton bike as well 💪
Thanks dude. The Atherton 100% gave me the confidence! 🤘
Nice video buddy 👍 good job ... only downfall iv had people message me last couple of days asking if it's me
Thanks bud, got it in the end! I was wondering why people thought it was you, then just clocked your user name! Didn’t mean to confuse anyone!! 👍🤘
Nice one, takes a bit of time I found to get the lines right through the turns. Once I got that, I got through it all.

Managed the first jump last visit, the rest beat me😢
Well done. The second is exactly like the first. If you clear the first just stay of the brakes and you’ll flow over 🤘
@888-mtb good work bud, we are heading to BPW Friday evening and I might just have to give these a go after watching your vid 💪🤙
I swear if that was me I’d take so long the uplift would be closed by the time I’d finished 😂
🤣🤣 there was a lot of watching videos the night before and procrastinating! Why does it always look so much bigger and scarier in real life 🤣👍
@@888-mtb yup 100 agree 😂that Atherton bike has got you tho…send it 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾!!
