Either way i already bought it on steam. the 3 cars missing isn't much of an issue to me though personally, unfortunate yes but not a big loss.
It was a nice touch ya know, having a legit police livery, but it didn’t make sense having an Italian police cruiser rolling through the California coasts. But my god could they have picked something more bland and ugly?? 😂

@@rlas so yes, following on from the previous comment, you do need to ourschase another game, hot pursuit remaster released on 6th of November but you get access to nearly every car that consoles got access to in the original for free, sadly some previous car we drove won't be ingame like the SLR Mclaren and Sterling Moss since theres licensing issues (real story actually is since 2015 mercedws and Mclaren cannot decide who gets licensing over the car(s) ingame)
The graphics engine that Criterion used (chamelion) is much easier to remaster compared to the older titles like underground 2, or most wanted that was running the Speed engine. Would cost alot in programming to remaster the old games
not only that, the high res models are something people playing in 4k are goign to be grateful for, and no matter what resolution you play on, they increaed render distance, so stuff wont be popping out that much how it did on the original. Anyways pricing is bs

They are not really deleted cars, they were present in consoles as DLC, but i think it was only on the Xbox of the time, and yeah, i was really expecting them to add some Ferraris and other brands, since they have the rights to use them

So there's little to no difference between the 2010 version and this remaster, except for (as someone pointed out via a comment) the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 edition and Stirling Moss disappearing from the lineup, along with the Carbon Motors E7 police car, along with the racer cars' showroom having a different background, the cars themselves being parked on the stage at a different angle, and other cars which previously were provided as DLC only in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. I'm not sure whether those cars will be offered as DLC in the PC version as well, or will they be included with the game itself. The slightly altered graphics and the stupid DRM for this game, along with the mostly incremental updates don't make this worth spending USD 30 except for the nostalgia it provides, and the multiplayer availability. The 2010 original is much better for me; its graphics still are fantastic.
Very true, although I would spend 30 bucks just for the nostalgia rather than actually for the hype because my dad bought me the game when I was 10, and I have loved that game ever since. Now, to play it on the ps4 is like a dream come true. I always wanted a remaster and we officially got it......

I was hoping they would have fixed the Crown Victoria's wheels this time around. They rendered the wheel covers from a 03-05 Vic and turned them into rims. I wish they would have just slapped the wheels on from the Taurus Interceptor, would have been a little more accurate.

I've been doing a playthrough of HP2010 on my 360 and I gotta say it makes me happy seeing some of the cars that were never available to the racers before even with DLC like the non-convertible 370Z, regular Viper SRT10, Porsche Panamera Turbo, & the non-convertible Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Also I know not many people really care all too much for the new Gallardo police car design, but I actually am really happy they changed it, it's the one car I didn't really like the paint scheme on before the remaster.
Unfortunately, that's probably not going to happen. They weren't removed out of choice, but due to issues with licensing. Carbon Motors' assets were liquidated in 2013 and no longer exist as a company and as a result; are unable to give the developers permission to use their logo and name. The Mercedes-McLaren vehicles I can't say with 100% certainty, but I imagine it probably is because of the negative relationship between Daimler AG and McLaren during the development cycle and one-or both-of those companies denying use of those particular vehicles.
@@miat6746 I agree with the E7, thats just not legally possible, but Mercedes & Mclaren is still a high possibility, cause EA obviously knows how much all of us would like SLR and Moss back, so EA are probably trying everything they can to get licensing by or shortly after official release date. I mean, just look at how Forza got back rights to put the Supra, AE86, MR2, various Lexus models, etc.
Imagine now that in some months EA releases a Ferrari DLC, with some Ferraris of the time, the 458, 599 GTO, Enzo, 430 Scuderia and maybe a couple classics like the F40 and F50
Dunno, Halo 2 Anniversary was meant to simply be a remaster of Halo 2, yet they gave us an entirely new Forge mode and a Halo 2 multiplayer running on a different engine using modern graphics to top it, while still retain the original multiplayer mode, and some customization to go with the former Who knows what EA and Criterion might do on this one? I know that’s just one example and there might be any more like it, but having new cars for the lineup would honestly be great

Mailer Yes, it is known that Ferrari is somewhat complicated in terms of licensing, perhaps more than other brands, but if there have been Ferraris in the last games of the saga, except Payback, and highlighting its presence and return to the saga in Rivals, which is for me a Hot Pursuit with another name, I don't see why not dream of having the brand in this remaster, I dreamed of that 10 years ago in the original game and now again, but I highly doubt that will happen :(

Yes, there's no 722 edition SLR either, which was a DLC on the Xbox 360. It was a great car to drive, and it sounded awesome. It really is such a shame, they even removed it from the police lineup, where it was originally. Oh well, at least I can still use them on my Xbox 360. Licensing issues, I suppose.
It’s cool to see attainable cars in a racing game. Most could realistically afford some of the early cars. I mean they’re all 10 years old at this point but it’s interesting either way

Easier to do. The remastered Burnout Paradise, and since HP2010 is the same engine as Paradise, they could remaster it next. Remastering the classics will take time.
2 facts: Criterion didn't develop "classic" games (considering you refer underground era as classic). And most of motorsport media consider Hot Pursuit the best release of entire saga

i was hoping the game to have some more tuner cars or just a complete tuner class in general. You know the eclipse, skyline,rx7 especially vielside body kit, honds nsx, s2000 ,350z, Supra(if toyota allows it). And much more. Im just one of those types of girls but i completely understand that HP shines with all the hypercars
No stirling moss, 722 edition, or carbon motors E7. Bad changes. Carbon Motors E7 for Rapid Deployment, SL65 for Exotic Series and Speed Enforcement Unit would have been much better changes.
I know there's people saying graphically there is no difference but even on youtube compression the game looks improved in lot of departments graphically.
It's too bad we probably won't see another Need for Speed game with these kinds of cop cars in a while. Last time was with Rivals, and that game came out nearly a decade ago already.

i have it in classic game, there is a mod on HP2010, that add all hardtop versions of cabrio cars for racers, and some of DLC cars, including Panamera

I've been doing a playthrough of HP2010 on my 360 and I gotta say it makes me happy seeing some of the cars that were never available to the racers before even with DLC like the non-convertible 370Z, regular Viper SRT10, Porsche Panamera Turbo, & the non-convertible Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. Also I know not many people really care all too much for the new Gallardo police car design, but I actually am really happy they changed it, it's the one car I didn't really like the paint scheme on before the remaster.
I Hope The SLR Mclaren's and the E7 Motors come back to this game as a update or DLC to this Game
Unfortunately, that's probably not going to happen. They weren't removed out of choice, but due to issues with licensing. Carbon Motors' assets were liquidated in 2013 and no longer exist as a company and as a result; are unable to give the developers permission to use their logo and name. The Mercedes-McLaren vehicles I can't say with 100% certainty, but I imagine it probably is because of the negative relationship between Daimler AG and McLaren during the development cycle and one-or both-of those companies denying use of those particular vehicles.
@@miat6746 I agree with the E7, thats just not legally possible, but Mercedes & Mclaren is still a high possibility, cause EA obviously knows how much all of us would like SLR and Moss back, so EA are probably trying everything they can to get licensing by or shortly after official release date. I mean, just look at how Forza got back rights to put the Supra, AE86, MR2, various Lexus models, etc.
I don’t think the poliza gallardo will come back as a dlc too
Imagine now that in some months EA releases a Ferrari DLC, with some Ferraris of the time, the 458, 599 GTO, Enzo, 430 Scuderia and maybe a couple classics like the F40 and F50

Dunno, Halo 2 Anniversary was meant to simply be a remaster of Halo 2, yet they gave us an entirely new Forge mode and a Halo 2 multiplayer running on a different engine using modern graphics to top it, while still retain the original multiplayer mode, and some customization to go with the former
Who knows what EA and Criterion might do on this one? I know that’s just one example and there might be any more like it, but having new cars for the lineup would honestly be great

Mailer Yes, it is known that Ferrari is somewhat complicated in terms of licensing, perhaps more than other brands, but if there have been Ferraris in the last games of the saga, except Payback, and highlighting its presence and return to the saga in Rivals, which is for me a Hot Pursuit with another name, I don't see why not dream of having the brand in this remaster, I dreamed of that 10 years ago in the original game and now again, but I highly doubt that will happen :(

Technically there were 4 Dr Pepper cars. The others are the 370Z (hard top), Cayman S, and Viper SRT-10 (hard top).

Yes, there's no 722 edition SLR either, which was a DLC on the Xbox 360. It was a great car to drive, and it sounded awesome. It really is such a shame, they even removed it from the police lineup, where it was originally. Oh well, at least I can still use them on my Xbox 360. Licensing issues, I suppose.

The coupé versions were part from SCPD rebels DLC, wich was actually playable on PC version, just need to replace one file in the game

@@NS55gaming it's SLR, which is manufactured by BOTH of them. So both Mercedes and McLaren would have to agree together. Unforntualy, that doesn't seem to be happening this time around (probably McLaren).
The Mercedes Maclaren SLR 722 edition was my favorite car in the entire game.

@@IIGummies you're a toy car, I rather like both Gallardo models but if I had to choose and I was a racer, I'd choose the LP570-4 yet if I was a cop, I'd probably go for the LP560-4 because it was supposedly imported from Italy and just repainted (and I'm not the type of guy that thinks that if they're in America they must use an American police car)

Easier to do. The remastered Burnout Paradise, and since HP2010 is the same engine as Paradise, they could remaster it next.
Remastering the classics will take time.
2 facts: Criterion didn't develop "classic" games (considering you refer underground era as classic). And most of motorsport media consider Hot Pursuit the best release of entire saga

You know the eclipse, skyline,rx7 especially vielside body kit, honds nsx, s2000 ,350z, Supra(if toyota allows it). And much more. Im just one of those types of girls but i completely understand that HP shines with all the hypercars

No stirling moss, 722 edition, or carbon motors E7. Bad changes. Carbon Motors E7 for Rapid Deployment, SL65 for Exotic Series and Speed Enforcement Unit would have been much better changes.
