Hello everyone, thank you so much for watching this video! Dizzy (stuntman in this video) and I are really happy to see so many of you sharing your favourite moments. As I mentioned in the description, Hot Pursuit was the ultimate racing game for me during my childhood. It's clear that EA, Dice, and Criterion poured their hearts into its development, from the marketing to the actual gameplay. That's why I took it upon myself to make this video and celebrate one of the best racing games in history. This wasn't easy to make, as it required a lot of cooperation, luck, and dedication between everyone involved. We're really glad that the end result was enjoyable! As I look through the comments, it appears we're not the only one who has strong feelings about this game. That's why I'm glad to announce that we have more Hot Pursuit Remastered cinematics in the works. Stay tuned, we can't wait for you to see them. :)
Hello! I'm one of the stunt drivers featured in this video! It's amazing to see how well it’s being received. My brother, Pilkshake, and I put our all into helping Phantom deliver a high-quality cinematic and bring his vision to life. Being part of this project on a game that's been such a huge part of my childhood is truly an honor. I still remember the first time I discovered this game through its E3 trailer. Seeing the Reventón make that heroic entrance, take the lead, and overtake the then-fastest street-legal car in the world absolutely blew my mind. If you had shown that 8-year-old kid this cinematic and told him he’d be part of it someday-especially that moment at 3:50-he wouldn’t have believed you. Here’s where my brother and I are featured, if anyone’s curious: 0:44 - That’s me driving a McLaren F1. 1:21 - My brother’s in the interceptor Gallardo, and I’m in the Viper. 1:25 - That’s me in the purple R35 being spiked by my brother. 1:26 - I’m in an Interceptor 911 GT3 chasing my brother. 1:40 - Phantom spikes me in this shot. 1:42 - My brother’s in the yellow Superleggera leading the way (same match as 1:26). 1:47 - That’s me EMP’ing Phantom-payback for 1:40 😈 2:04 - My brother’s in the 918 and I’m in the Super Snake. Fun fact: this shot was improvised. 2:06 - Same match as 1:26/1:42-my brother commits some fratricide here. 2:26 - Same match as 2:04. This shot looks so cool. 2:46 - That’s me. I’m glad I got to be part of one of the best moments in the video. 2:50 - I’m in the Murciélago SV, my brother’s chasing in the Viper ACR. This is his favorite shot. :) 2:55 - Same match as 1:26/1:42/2:06. 3:03 - My brother and I are in this shot and in the very next one; I’m in the Veyron, he’s in the CCX. 3:25 - I’m in the Apollo, and my brother’s in the Veyron. 3:38 - Phantom’s in the Ford GT, and my brother speeds by in the Zonda. 3:46/3:50 - Both of these shots feature me. The latter took a lot of tries to get right because I’d slightly lean left or right and ruin the shot. 3:51 - This cutscene features Phantom and me. It was one of the first shots recorded way back on April 5th. Not sure who was driving which car, though. :( 3:58 - Same match as 3:38/3:46/3:50-I’m in the Reventón, and my brother’s in the Zonda. 4:34 - Both zoom shots were from the same match as well as the very last two shots. It’s a privilege to have been part of this. I made some unforgettable memories working on this, and it’s something I'll cherish deeply. Can't wait to work on more cinematics, whether it's in HPR or Ace Combat 7. Thanks for watching, and thank you for the support! It’s been an amazing journey. :)
I'm literally that guy that just wants to say f you and I wish you christmas. Yes, I'm jealous just because someone had favorite childhood game and I'm coping.
Literally the Best NFS game to ever exist Also at 1:10. The song lining up with the cop car being shown and the lyric "You wanna be the one in control" AHHHHH FUKING BRILLIANT!
I got goosebumps watching this video. When I think about cars, I think about the rush and thrill of speed. The feeling that I could crash out at any moment, yet go faster than ever before is addicting. Its a shame that modern games fail to capture this feeling, they are all about battle passes, looks, and taking up as much of your screen time as possible. At the end of the day, I love cars because I love going fast, and this game helps me achieve that. It gives me the tools, the arena, and the vehicles to go as fast as possible. There are no upgrades, minimal visual customization, but most importantly, there is no bs with this game. All it wants me to do is drive fast, and I love that. I thank you Phantom for creating this video and reminding me why I love racing games.
You know, I could say this cinematic was beautiful. But for the emotions you made me feel in these five minutes, the memories that rushed into my brain, there is no word. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered introduced me into arcade racing back then on the Nintendo Wii. You made me feel like I'm seven again, looking astonished at every pixel of the screen. Thank you and everyone involved for making this masterpiece. You made my day.
Was my first need for speed I ever got my hands on, still the best I’ve ever played. This is a masterpiece that shows how beautiful the game really is.
This tribute will sure inspire lots of future racing game developers :) In my opinion, the video features astonishing camera angles, sound effects, editing, and a deep appreciation for the legacy of NFS Hot Pursuit 2010, this is evident from the marketing materials you referred to in the video.
Severely underrated I absolutely love how active and dynamic each individual shot is It in itself is its own form of Cinematography and Automotive Art Great job man ✨🖤🤝🏻
Who let this man cook? 'Cause he just nailed the cinematic like it should have been the E3 Trailer. P.S I think this one of the last AAA games to nail those classic Racing Arcade Cabnets. Just pick the race/mode, the car, then just the paint/livery (for cops it's just select the car, and give 'em hell). Simple and fun. Also, I love the references from the trailers like the E3 reveal and the Pagani vs. Lamborghini. This game along with it's legacy successor Rivals, it has a special place in my heart for more classic Speeder vs. Cop arcade racing. The soundtrack for this game is incredible for its time, before Forza Horizon took that crown. (Also adore that series as well) I think of Edge of the Earth as of how the Cops look at this war between them, it's epic, gritty and it's the fight to the death, no remorse. But Watercolour by Pendulum is almost the opposite energy of music, epic, inspiring, and it's that estatic, addicting feeling of the battle. How it's not just the war that counts to win, it's making every battle count as well, it's a Racer's perspective when thinking about it. It's probably ridiculous getting deep into it. But I couldn't stop enjoying that the lyrics of both songs coexist in this game and resembles both sides for different reasons. It makes me love the game with it's soundtrack. Makes my brain tingle, imagining how I used to play with my Hotwheels back in the day, the epic things in my head, even though it was just my imagination.
Okay this was INCREDIBLE!! Love the use of the debug camera, and the beautiful cinematics through the racing scene, and enforcer scene. Not to mention the ending was pretty cool. Really makes me want to imagine an in game movie, or set of movies for the game
This is a surprise, but nevertheless well made, great work Phantom (as always) I'm completely ignoring that Need For Speed is on a channel based on Ace Combat because this game greatly impacted my childhood! My brother and I would spend hours upon hours playing this together. I would play the Cop events, while he played as a Racer. It really brout out our car enthusiasm. But when we switched out our PS3 for a PS4, we had to stop. But when I saw that a Remasted visrion of NFSHP was available for my cosel. I ran to the nerest Gamestop and bought it! Turns out we have more in common then I thought, and love the new Profile Picture! BTW my favorite car this game is the 2008 Koenigsegg CCXR Edition, what's yours?
Wow, it's great to know that you played Hot Pursuit, man! It's quite heartwarming to know your and your brother's history with the game, and that you both played separate parts of the campaign events (really took the "Which side are you on?" tagline seriously LOL). I'm glad you could enjoy this video since it's clearly an essential part of our childhood. The CCXR Edition is awesome! Love that carbon fibre body. I have several favourites but if I have to choose one, I'll probably have to go with the classic Pagani Zonda Cinque. For me, nothing beats that growling engine whine. If there's one particular thing that this game excelled in, it's the engine sounds and overall sound design.
I LOVE this fucking game and the songs especially edge of the earth when this song plays I just LOCK THE FUCK IN and I still play this game to this day this game has made me a Huge fan of cars and made my unattainable dream car the Pagani Cinque Roadster
