How come SCPD doesn't investigate Hudsen Tech (until now) for providing street racers with military grade weapons?
I have a theory that The new Hot Pursuit is not about Racers vs Cops. It's a corporation war.
Update:
Maybe Hudson Tech used to be SCPD's choice for law enforcing technology until being overtaken by HCM Corporation, canceling their contact for rival company. As a revenge, Hudson starts selling their device to street racers to show SCPD their mistake for not choosing them over HCM.

I like how the SCPD rates roadblocks based on how expensive they are

But cop cars have fixed top speed, while racers can surpass the their top speed threshold with turbo and nitrous.
In other words, police cars have indeed higher top speeds naturally, but racers can have even higher top speeds artificially
@@csbr75 not quite. Cop cars hv higher acceleration and slightly higher top speed. Try drive the Buggati Veyron for example on both versions. Or use the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. U can tell its diff right away when driving it. Also, even cop cars can surpass its top speed more easily. Racer cars also can, but hard to maintain its 'overspeeding'. In general, cop cars is the modified version of the racer cars, if not some of them
csbr75 use the cop Mclaren F1… it’s top speed goes beyond 420 km/h making it the fastest non DLC car in the game
I tested it myself on the freeway… it was much faster than the racer F1 and still faster than the cop Veryon

No, they made them lightweight so your car's speed doesn't get affected. As for the roadblock and helis, you call in via radio and they stop them for you. I think the turbo is powered by a volatile compound bottles, and the jammer has a rechargeable battery. (Reloading system confirmed?)
@@daniel_ding48 jammer is probably the smallest equipment, more or less the sizeof a radio. EMP generators are probably really heavy though. as for the spike strips well... how do they even fit in the first place?
@@unkindled6410 I think the spike strip dispensers fit at the rear of the car or the trunk, so they are fired from the back.
@@daniel_ding48 most of the cars in the roster are rear/mid engine mounted and the trunk is on the front, and its very small. Thats the part you remember its a videogame. If they were to put the thing under the car and raise its suspension a little because of that, they would still have only one strip per car still so... yeah dont think too much about it.

@@govinlock8568 Just level 1. Level 3 Spike Strip is a Level 2 Spike Strip but two at a time.
@@shadowv6794 No. Level 3 has similar stability as level 1 but with size of level 2. Try to launch it during cornering.

yep, the one where the audio clearly indicated an EMP with no target literally makes no sense now
They should have just reused the original Clips form the original game.

@@shadowv6794 cuz the audio was from the original 2010 hot pursuit. and sense they remade the cut scenes but reused the audio, it's really awkward and it's shows how cheap EA is with remastering some of there game's.

That's becuz its a twin turbo setup. Double the power, twice the fun.

I mean think about it. If the developers made the gadgets unlimited,you would be too OP and races would shorter since you would always use Turbo.

I still remember what each of the cop cars will spawn and their cinematic where they introduce the info of the cars in the original version. Most of them were replaced from Mercedes/McLaren SterlingMoss. And there’s Carbon Motors. When I see them replaced by Sesto Elemento or something I feel a little bit hurt. Damn You, Licenses.

Explosively pumped generators actually provide the reason why you only get limited shots at the EMP. It's literally a stick of dynamite that you coil energised wire around so that when the dynamite explodes the expanding diameter of the temporarily still energised coil increases the magnetic flux delivered by the coil.

Looking back at that, where on earth do you install the EMP system in your car?
I think it's somewhere beside the engine, if not then it's the trunk (that would make the targeting system lock on the back instead of the front).
It is right in front of the engine it is a small device carrying lots of power to fit perfectly in front of the engine

Fun fact: the helicopter spike strip can pop a cop’s tires. Yes I have first hand experience. Watch out out there.

How do upgrades work does it happen during the racers and cops or the amount of times when successfully hit or used?
Your weapons will be upgraded after certain successful uses.
They should make a similar game like this but with Changeable weapons. And more weapons.
It's called Rivals. It has the same weapon system that HP does, but it had more of them.

I know im late but judging by the layout of both seacrest county and redview county i think redview is just over the hills of seacrest and because of the beach location of both we can assume that this is a big island full of expensive cars and tech without a care on the world which means that whatever country these counties are under has to be a superpower but i dont know if there was a fictional or non fictional country in NFS that was mentioned ever so its the usa
Amazing rng with the roadblocks, I've been going at it on the og version that has the slr's, not the sesto's wich appear to be a lot slower, the best I got was 4:33 with the good ol Stirling Moss, which is why, the og will be better even with this piece of sounding remastered art,

@TacticalMoonstone I mean... just look at the EMP and Spike Strips systems for example, if the creation process is the same (besides the "K Project" HudsenTech was talking about), then there's a high chance that their vendor is lying about something.
The only question is: How the fuck have they not been investigating HudsenTech and HCM Corporation throughout the entire game?!

trivia: HCM corp. does not produce helicopters or roadblocks. Roadblock cars are given by Ford(GT500 interceptor) and Porsche(Panamera turbo). Helicopters are produced by the S.C.P.D..
I love how the turbo upgrade is just a turbocharger that can be deactivated/activated at will somehow
In the original game it is more like an actual hyperboost system. Check the old cutscenes for Turbo, you'll get my point.
