Love the stance, baby blue stripe and those wheels are sweet... using backseat with fold down armrest/cupholders is a stroke of genius... appreciate your detailed explanations of everything. Thanks for the walkaround of your beautiful truck!
I saw this truck at the F100 Grand National show earlier this year. Beautiful truck. I'm trying to buy a 71 or 72 from my cousins husband. I actually used a picture of your truck for my wallpaper on my phone for awhile.
Not having much luck talking him out of it. Also trying to talk my Dad out of his 64 F100. It's a straight 6 with 3 speed on the column. Not running but his neighbor just gave us a 302 for it.
@@domfattarusoracing I’m sure I will! Already watched all your videos on the F100 haha, I’ve been going back and forth between a 67/68 Mustang and an F100 for a while but I think your videos helped seal the deal on a truck build!
Thanks man! I’m glad too! When the trucks first picture was sent to me I had to save it with its story. Believe it or not, it truly does only have 26k original miles
Dom this truck is awesome. I’m hoping to start working on my 1970 SWB next year. Can you talk a little about the actual width of the 8.8 rear and what size wheels and back spacing your running to get the fitment right? Thanks man
@@jesswaldrop7224 hey man! Thank you! If you need help with anything just let me know! I’ll try to get a video made up talking about the rear and the wheel setup.
Thanks Matt! So I went with a +15 offset wheel and 2” spacers on the Ford Explorer rear. I wanted the narrower Explorer rear so I had more room to make a wheel I liked fit. So it just so happened that I needed the 2” spacer to get the fitment I wanted in the bedside. I love the stripe too. It was the first thing that I noticed on the truck when I first saw it for sale. Something about the off white and baby blue 🤘🏻
Are they 295/30/19? What are front and rear complete tire size and what are wheel offsets? I’ve going with the same suspension set up as you and looking to get the DS02’s
i would like to to know the size of wheels in the front and rear with back space offset specs please if you don't mind you have i nee to order my wheels i like this set up killer truck
The bench seat kills it? I have to disagree. It was a cost effective way to get a “custom” bench seat in the truck that held the driver and passenger a little better then stock. I drove the truck with the stock bench seat, it was not fun LOL I wanted the interior to have a classic feel. I didn’t want a flashy new seat like TMI for example. I thought a factory ford bench seat, positioned for me, tied it all together and kept it old school. Thanks for the comment man!
I’m building a very similar truck, crown Vic front, ford sport trac 8.8 rear with 4.10 gears, only think I’m debating is if I want to just do a axle flip in the rear or do I want to go 4 link/coilover,im mainly trying to get it as low as possible and have a nice street cruiser, how do the coilovers ride on the street?
The coilovers are badass on the street. They give it a beautiful ride. I have double adjustable in the rear so I can really dial in the compression and rebound to the ride I want. My little brothers 68 is an axle flip and a shackle flip. It’s as low as you can get it without doing a crazy big c-notch. I have a mini c-notch welded in on both mine and his truck. The stance is almost identical but the ride with coilovers is drastically better than the axle flip.
Killer truck, I love the concept you kept to for the build. I had a 68 F100 long bed with a 3spd column shift & that truck is one that make a lasting impact on my heart. Currently I've got a 75 F 250 dually service bodied truck just sitting on my property in incredible shape, that I'm probably going to look to let go(no title) to gather some cash to purchase another F100 short bed & build a street truck kinda like yours. Nice truck. Like the coil overs and 4 link. Isn’t that an older grill?

I love it buddy🔥🔥🔥

Very nice driver.

Yes sir outcast 4 link. Thanks man!

Not sure I understand the “I wanted to keep it as old as possible” which you mostly did but killed it with that shitty modern bench seat.

Yes sir, has a mini c-notch in the rear

They are QA1 double adjustable Coilovers up front with Hypercoil springs.
