Husqvarna 562 Blowing Chips with a 32" Bar

  • Shot in the spring as the bark is beginning to swell so we are having to clean out the cut continually. This is the first test drive on an insane-o-ized Husqvarna 562 fresh out of the shop sporting a 32" Oregon liteweight bar and hogging the wood. Doesn't seem to have any problems pulling this length of chain on a fatty red.
    I'm currently available for port work. If you are interested please shoot me an email.

    Run the same set up here in washington state, husky boy all the way! Cant wait to try out that new 576!
    Updated; bought the 576, ran it for a few months and my crank bearings blew out.. not very impressed with husky these days, had the same thing happen on my less than year old 562.
    About to make a lifelong conversion to stihl if this crap keeps up.

    That's my dream saw right there! I will get one some day. I have a Husqy 460, Husqy 440 (not running right at the moment), and Stihl MS 250 to replace my ailing 440. Really would love a 562xp to complete my collection. Then I'd have small, medium, and large saws. I'm a rural guy that heats with firewood, not a professional saw-man. Just feel I could use a 562xp in some of the really big stuff I come across that my 460 just doesn't like so much.

Cutting trees is a passion of mine. I've cut many of bombers up in your neck of the woods on fires. When I get my new saw I'll prob be sending it to you for some work. • @hotsaws101
      @hotsaws101  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      carsandtrucks451 hi. I like the Tsumara bars 1st. as long as your not the type to be banging on the tip. The Stihl 2nd.
      The Oregon works well on really brushy and steep ground but the rails are like mush. The Sugis are heavy liteweight and seem to be a little eradicate quality wise.

    Jack give it time, they did release a 572xp recently. I imagine 80cc class saws are next.
    What are your thoughts on this saw? I heard a heavy burbble at times which is not typical of the electronic carb saws. At least not in my limited experience. Yours is the first that I've seen act in that manner. Do you think the electronics are compensating well after mods?

    • @treewisemenllc7281
      @treewisemenllc7281 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      . interested in this reply

    • @hotsaws101
      @hotsaws101  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      With a 28" bar it is a "bad Jose" little saw.
      I think that the electronics struggle with the way the engine runs after I get done with the mods. The "burbble" is, in part, from the main charge getting affected from the fresh air charge being stuffed back into the start of the transfers. Also, and I think to a smaller degree, from a large amount of fuel getting dumped into the venturi because the saw runs differently than a stocker - they pull harder. Once the rpms get high enough the pressure from the crank case overwhelms the fresh air pressure somewhat and the saw straightens out. These saws completely come alive once on the pipe and the bar is buried, which seems to evident here.
      The 562 in the mighty mite shootout video does the same thing, as do all that I have experienced.
      From my understanding, it's the ~ 390 class size that is in the works. The first gen, prototype "57?" was around in late '11 early '12, which we now know as the 572xp.
      I have an ~ 80cc 372 based machine already.
      Thanks for watching.

      hotsaws101 Hey Ive been watching your vids for past few years since I got into saws, always been in love with them but where I live CT there's not many big logging operations, therefore I chose the trades Im a commercial and industrial plumber/fitter. Anyways I really like watching you work man you are a true BOSS at what you do every thing is just awesome to me to watch I love it! Few questions I have an idea why you do it but i want the real reason, why do you stick the axe tip into the cut sometimes? To see if the tree is moving back or forth? Also after watching this video this saw has some serious bark to it I was very impressed, dont laugh lol but i owned a echo cs600p and it actually had some serious sack also a 59ish cc saw.... what are you looking to get $ wise for this saw? Head unit only? If I purchased a new unit what would it be to have you do some tweaking maybe a quick list or mild to wild tweaking and mild to wild tweaking and porting . Thanks alot for these vids and please stay safe man. God bless you!! My friend!!

    • @hotsaws101
      @hotsaws101  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Jon hi. I'm watching for the slightest movement in the handle to see what the tree is doing. Sometimes it is in the front, deck cut as well. The handle enhances the movement the tree makes because it is further way and give you more notice of things going good (down in the back cut) or bad.
      This saw is already gone. I can build another if needed. The best way to start the process is email me.

    What’s your opinion on the 390xp vs say a 462? Parts are way cheaper for OEM than stihl parts are. Too ends are half as much as I can find online. Does there cheaper OEM parts mean less longevity? For my 362c stihl wants 400 for complete too end kit. Huskys are 200$ on eBay for the 390xp.What’s your opinion on these saws and the cheaper parts? Are the 390xp’s any easier to work on? Any pros vs the cons? I just had a dealer contact me about the saw for 1275 out the door with a 32 in bar. Will it pull that sized bar?Thanks for any help or insight you can offer. Thankyou sir!
    Stephan Mackie.

    • @hotsaws101
      @hotsaws101  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stephan hi. Two different applications for me. Zipped I'm runnig a 33/34/36" bar on the 390. A 42"er if needed too. I run a 30" on the 462. It will do alright with a 32" bar but I never liked mine with a 33" bar - 110 drivers 3/8.
      Husky parts are a bit less that's for sure. Not really. Stihl controls the dealers, but also looks out for them a bit more. Husky lets them fend for themselves.
      I cut millions with 385/390 saws. A little bit.
      Weight, controlable carb, more diplacement vs weightless, save you from youself carb, lack a little down low.
      Depends upon your chain sharpening abilities more than any other factor from my pespective.
      Thanks for watching.

    Can the oiler put enough oil on the long bar?

    • @hotsaws101
      @hotsaws101  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ARPAD hi. The 32" bar is at the very end of the oiler capabilities. In some wood types and grinds it really struggles. I run a 28" on the 562s almost exclusively. If a 32" bar is needed then I'm looking for a bigger powerhead.
