Why new joiner? I assume they'd be the least helpful as they have the least pull. Unless its a stepping stone to find out about the process and getting names of people to reach out to that were involved during their process. Can someone explain?

I see in 'All filters', there's an option to sort by 'Latest', but also 'Top match'. What does top match mean? Best match for me in what way?

All I can see is company posts. I wonder which filter I missed. Global searched and the filtered by posts and author company.
But why they would accept your connection if they don’t know you?
Mate I get enough useless recruiters I don't need more, I need them to be willing to pay a proper wage
