And you didn't harp on any areas too long, but also didn’t skim through too fast or skip details. Ive watched 1000s of reviews on vehicles and this is at the tippy top. Great job
Except it's front is ugly as Soul lol. Also, MPG is subpar. Resale is dropping like crazy lol. That and plus it's so-so anemic engine is a no go. Kia has a poor man image as well.
3 kia later…. the kia sportage and the sorento limited both have serious design and quality issues that the dealers just seem to make excuses for and they all happen when the car or suv is just barely outta warranty. including a blown motor, a/c system fried, nav system shut down etc etc etc. hopefully kia gets it right on this new suv.

It’s very dated and legitimately one of my biggest knocks to the brand and of course dealer network. I know they have genesis but even their upcoming SUV on the same platform is too compromised vs their own palisades

Im not a KIA person but wow!!! The design looks sleek and modern. This definitely shows other SUVs in the same class are over priced from Mercedes, Land Rover, etc. How will the new 2020 Ford Explorer go against this

That hook on the back of the seat is for the cord of the charger to wrap around and hang on to. Also the smaller pocket on the back of the seat is a place for phones to rest when plugged up.
Kia should add up an Auto Start Button on that remote, which is already standard with other Manufacturers. Entertainment seems don’t have, it is a Family Vehicle this is the main reason why Kids needs to enjoy every time especially on those long trips.

This thing is so high demand so be aware. they will ask 10k over MSRP and wont back down. i've been a ford fan for almost 3 decades. i'm still in a state of shock to have a kia on my driveway so i just set up an appt to get my head examine

Agreed!! They need to seriously re-brand themselves. They actually have pretty good line up and have come a long way from what they use to be, but you hit it right on the nail with "company look and sound cheap" they're being their own downfall.
I'm in love with kia telluride, I'm using the car for almost 2 yrs now,, it's great for everything ,rough roads, even on going downtown, going to market, school, the best.not noisy as range rover, the speed was superb.the set cover is computable for long drive, Have 4 adjustable drive , 😄😁😀😃
They say you lose about 4-5% power per 1,000 feet of elevation with a naturally aspirated engine... that said- the performance would be likely 30% LESS than at sea level.. Turbo charged engines are critical in Colorado... Just figure the performance to be night & day at Elevation
Great review. Range Rover with BMW Interior. I used to have a Kia. They are decent cars. But don't expect big luxury. Road noise has always been a problem and the PAINT on Kia's is the worst. It chips so easily. Yes they are cheaper in price, but they also skip out on things to make them affordable. So don't think you are "getting it all" for less. You get less for less. Better to go with Toyota or Honda for a step up. They can look nice and last a long time if that's what you want.

In fact you covered everything so well that I only have one question, does the rear lift gate have a touchless sensor like the Fords do? So true, I'd like also to add (or ask) how it does in off road. Probably many buyers won't ever do off road, but still good to know how it does the AWD here. Is it like Mazda (more road trip orientated, snowy roads?) Or like Subaru? (More capable, fun in dirty roads?)
KIA is becoming more impressive as the years go by. My only complaint about this vehicle and it spans across many car makers if the tablet tossed on top of the dash. It just feels lazy, are manufacturers not able to design the screens into the dash for a more finished look?
problem with that is you'd have to heighten the whole dash, reducing visibility, or lower the screen which makes it less practical. I used to hate the stuck on look but i have to admit, it's the most logical decision and I'd personally prefer to leave it that way

Great Review! I watched other reviews about this car and nobody else mentioned that you can't open the sunroof. I'm not sure I like the idea of having a sunroof that you can't open, it seems weird but it's still a nice looking car.
Hyundai and Kia has come so far from 30 years ago its amazing. They've proven that they can produce quality products and at a fair price. Now that they've entered the big SUV market with Telluride and Palisade; Volvo, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lincoln, GM and Land Rover are on notice. I mention this, because these brands big SUVs fully equipped could skyrocket to cost over or near six figures. I personnel feel badges will continue to become a thing of the past, because the way people socialize and interact is totally different from years ago. Just in my area, I've seen several Kia Telluride on the road, I've only seen one Hyundai Palisade but am sure by summer it will be many more in family garages.
Thought it was a no brainer that I would be trading my M-class for a new GLE. No longer a given, will definitely give this Kia a good look. Really can’t see anything big feature differences between the 2 brands.
Thanks for the awesome review. I just picked up a 19 Honda Pilot Touring AWD which I love. I must say that if I didn't need 8 seats and the RES then I would've really consider this car. It looks nicer inside and out. To me if I was in the market for the Pilot Elite at $48K instead then I would rather get this Telluride. It's pretty much the same car but the Telluride has more value and features.

@@howtobeatadrum honda is nice but kia and hyundai are better . i read looking into a honda pilot 19 but it just felt cheap and then on top of that you have to pay premium for basic stuff. i test drove the kia sorento and hyundai santa fe xl. the quality on both Korean cars surprised me. i ended up trading my 17 accord for the hyundai. couldnt be much happier. next car will be another Korean car, this is coming from someone who always praised honda and toyota. i also seen the highlander and that felt cheap aswell.

The lower level trims should've gotten the yellow lights and the higher trims should've gotten the white lights

Hyundai and Kia has come so far from 30 years ago its amazing. They've proven that they can produce quality products and at a fair price. Now that they've entered the big SUV market with Telluride and Palisade; Volvo, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lincoln, GM and Land Rover are on notice. I mention this, because these brands big SUVs fully equipped could skyrocket to cost over or near six figures. I personnel feel badges will continue to become a thing of the past, because the way people socialize and interact is totally different from years ago. Just in my area, I've seen several Kia Telluride on the road, I've only seen one Hyundai Palisade but am sure by summer it will be many more in family garages.
Thought it was a no brainer that I would be trading my M-class for a new GLE. No longer a given, will definitely give this Kia a good look. Really can’t see anything big feature differences between the 2 brands.
From the front it’s like GMC Yukon , and the rear like Rolls Royce Cullinan

Thanks for the awesome review. I just picked up a 19 Honda Pilot Touring AWD which I love. I must say that if I didn't need 8 seats and the RES then I would've really consider this car. It looks nicer inside and out. To me if I was in the market for the Pilot Elite at $48K instead then I would rather get this Telluride. It's pretty much the same car but the Telluride has more value and features.
Hang Nguyen Honda is higher quality and has better resale value. You made the right choice.
@@howtobeatadrum What about Honda is higher quality than Kia. I am a Honda Accord owner, and am considering the Telluride for my next. I don't know much about Kia other than it is the same major corporation to Hyundai.
@@howtobeatadrum honda is nice but kia and hyundai are better . i read looking into a honda pilot 19 but it just felt cheap and then on top of that you have to pay premium for basic stuff. i test drove the kia sorento and hyundai santa fe xl. the quality on both Korean cars surprised me. i ended up trading my 17 accord for the hyundai. couldnt be much happier. next car will be another Korean car, this is coming from someone who always praised honda and toyota. i also seen the highlander and that felt cheap aswell.
Internet Gangster Yes, I am liking Kia more and more, and my next vehicle may be a Telluride. I had a 2010 Odyssey EXL, and it was great for the first 50K miles, but after that it started to have a bunch of little problems.
