    Hey everyone, two quick corrections. First, and perhaps MOST importantly, Thomas meant Ed, not Eddy. Also, the 10-year warranty we reference is US only. In Canada, its a 5 year. Sad face. Have a great day!

      yup, and I totally agree with him. Having owned a Acura with push button on a TLX for 4 years it is the most cumbersome and slow shifting piece of garbage out there. Even on the new TLX, RDX, and MDX it is pretty much a deal breaker for me now.

      @conork8177 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I own a Palisade and the button selector didnt bother me until I needed to back out, and immediately go, in traffic. With a gear shifter you can flip the car from reverse, to drive, while it is drifting back...with the drive by wire, and understand it is a safety feature, you need to come to a stop before it will go into drive. Add in the cross traffic sensoring and you feel like a sitting duck. It is a one time life lesson. It quickly taught me to be more patient.

I chose it over the Camry and Accord because even though they are somewhat reliable and good cars, they felt dated. The interior in the Sonata won't feel so outdated for many years to come, in my opinion. I commute a little over 40 miles and usually average 37-42 mpgs going about 65-76 mphs. I really enjoy watching this. I pick Telluride because it looks rugged, much cheaper, and has bench seat in the second row. If the Palisade has just the single one front head lamp not splitting into many pieces, it will definitely win, and if it allows to have 2nd row bench seat configuration for customer to choose, it'll be perfect. Lastly if Hyundai wants to make their cars with the narrowing eyes that is not headlamp and located on the top, it's a shame because it's getting more and more out of fashion now. It used to be fascinating about years ago, but now I really don't like to look at it. Bigger and bulkier eyes are in the trend right now imo. So actually the car with a stick or buttons, which one is better in your opinion? I never use buttons. It looks fantastic, but I'm afraid it's gonna get tiresome after using them a couple of days.

    They are both great cars. For me, I bought the Telly SX and it just came down to style and personal preference. The first time I saw a Palisade, it just didn't grab my attention and, in fact I really thought the front end was fugly. But the first time I saw a Telluride in a Cosco parking lot it stopped me in my tracks. The looks of that car were so unique I had to go take a closer look and thus began my quest to get a Telluride. The looks of the Telly really got my attention. I find the Palisade too "blingy" for my taste, whereas the Telly looks more rugged and "purpose made." Is the interior nicer in the Palisade? Maybe, depending on how you define nicer. Personally I don't care for it. I like the analog gauges of the Telly and definitely like the real shift lever. I'm not knocking the Palisade, it's a great car to be sure, but the styling and overall look just isn't my cup of tea.

    • @basilbcf
      @basilbcf 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@babasunday309 Actually the third row seats were roomier than I thought they would be. My wife and Daughter in Law, who are both on the shorter side, often ride back there quite easily. My 2 sons are over 6 foot and can ride back there ok, but I would not want to have to go on a long trip with them back there. I'm 5'10 and I can sit back there just fine, but to be honest, there isn't a lot of room for me to stretch out my legs, so for long trips, you'd want to have kids or smaller adults in the third row. If you can find one on a lot (good luck) or find someone in your area with a Telly, see if you can get m up-close look and see if it meets your needs.

    Hey, just a quick statement. I noticed you have a fully loaded Palisade and a Telluride that is not fully loaded. You can get a suede headliner and better seats in the Telluride. It's a Prestige package that makes 2nd row ventilated and heated seats, suede headliner, nappa leather interior, and more stuff. So you actually can have the Telluride exterior with just as good interior. You just didn't have the right Telluride. Keep up the great work guys. Hope that helps everyone watching this video

    I think the Telluride is EASILY and by far away better looking, but that’s primarily because of the chrome. Like you said, Hyundai’s stying is just too much. I love the look of the Telluride. To be fair, I’m an absolute sucker for a forest green color on an SUV, so that plays a part. Both very excellent rigs, and I do whip my head around to get a look when a Palisade drives by, too.

    14:52 No, it’s NOT the top trim because you don’t have the “Prestige” package, which does, in fact, add things like a suede headliner, Nappa leather seats, a HUD, and heated & ventilated 2nd row seats. You also have a black interior vs the light grey Nappa leather one that looks just like this Palisade’s interior. So other than the all-digital gauge cluster and the push-button shifter (blegh) on the Palisade, the actual top-trim interiors are extremely similar. The Palisade has done well but it’s clear from sales figures and overall sentiment that the Telluride has won the hearts of most consumers (including me lol).

I just have one major gripe with the car and that’s that the materials feel cheap. The seats are comfy to sit in and everything, but once you start feeling around the cabin you notice the materials lack a certain quality to them. For the price point though, you can’t go wrong with the car 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Keep in mind, the Palisade is reaching real close into Genesis territory. It's a bit more expensive but it will have a higher resale value and will get you so much better gas mileage that the price difference will more than make up for the difference in savings and it will be much more reliable. My friend bought the same Hyundai Palisade last year during the summer (it wasn't called calligraphy) and had two problems that he still hasn't bothered getting fixed, and let me tell you this was right out of the showroom (after it took over a week to prep): the automatic lane departure assist and cruise control don't work properly. Hyundai said that the system needs to be calibrated.... I know the interior of the Hyundai is amazing for the price but Toyota's Highlander drives like a limosine and is quieter.

Oddly enough, in a few weeks, I'll be able to do my own Palisade vs Telluride video ('22) once my Telluride comes in. I ordered them 10 days from each other, Palisade 12/7 and Telluride 12/17. Both had a 90 - 120 day delivery date. My Palisade came 12/28. Don't think I will be so lucky with the Telluride though 😞.
    Great video. We go them both for the design and feature differences. Oddly, at the start of our search, I was 100% all Palisade and my partner was 100% Telluride. By the time we put our orders in, our desires were the reverse. Both are fully loaded so it will be nice to do our own comparisons. It's going to be hard for me going from a sports sedan to a SUV though I am looking forward to it.
