Sometimes being late to the party can be a good thing. For #Kia, they never really had a true 3-row crossover in the lineup for years. The original Borrego was too cramped on the inside and its truck based roots meant it was too heavy, too thirsty, and too expensive. For 2020, Kia is trying again with the American built and designed #KiaTelluride. With its rugged yet refined looks, incredibly spacious interior full of tech and premium materials, and last but not least strong value quotient. Kia may have just put the other brands on notice with this all-new #Telluride. It is the HOT new 3-row SUV to buy this year.

European pricing strategies are very different from that of the Korean brands. European manufacturers rely on brand appeal/snobbery to make their stripped models appeal to those on tighter budgets and load them up with costly options for the vehicles that are actually sitting on dealer lots.

It's not how you should compare features from one brand to another, but rather how they function. Compare the latest Iphone camera with the first Iphone camera and see the difference. Same thing with cars even when the have the same features, they work dramatically different. The germans just make the features way better than any other nation. This is from personal experience. I must admit!!

Heema Alshekhi I don’t know about that. Genesis has done a great job at matching the Germans.
Dodge is starting to up their game too, that new Ram feels like the Germans made it with how well it handles and the quality of the interior.
Their new infotainment is probably the best in the game right now, very crisp and clear and functional.

@Captain Caveman Oh look, the caveman has crawled out of his cave. Interesting assessment. I've minored in Psychology and believe I have a grasp on your condition too:
DELUSIONAL DISORDER: Delusional disorder is a type of serious mental illness in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined.
Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness - called a “psychosis”- in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. The main feature of this disorder is the presence of delusions, which are unshakable beliefs in something untrue. People with delusional disorder experience non-bizarre delusions, which involve situations that could occur in real life, such as being followed, poisoned, deceived, conspired against, or loved from a distance. These delusions usually involve the misinterpretation of perceptions or experiences. In reality, however, the situations are either not true at all or highly exaggerated.
People with delusional disorder often can continue to socialize and function quite normally, apart from the subject of their delusion, and generally do not behave in an obviously odd or bizarre manner. This is unlike people with other psychotic disorders, who also might have delusions as a symptom of their disorder. In some cases, however, people with delusional disorder might become so preoccupied with their delusions that their lives are disrupted.
There are many centers in the U.S. that can help you caveman. Use Medicaid (if Trump doesn't completely mess it up). If you can't find help, maybe try the power of prayer. Godspeed

CX-9 Signature top trim AWD can be had for under 44k and to many it is the best looking SUV in this segment and better than some luxury brands. People are paying over sticker ( 48k) for this car and other than a longer warranty CX-9 is slightly more premium looking and the driving experience will be much more engaging. This is still going to be on the Honda Pilot side of the room IE closer to a mini-van. It's great looks separate it from the outdated Highlander and it looks old school shape wise and it works. This is a great SUV. Kia and Hyundai have been making great cars. People need to get over the brand.
Kia/Hyundai were smart, most SUV’s are aging and this is so upscale it makes it a lot easier to overshadow others. The Pilot, Highlander, Explorer, CX9 and Pathfinder are old and due to be replaced.
With that being said I’d still pick my Honda Pilot Elite because the Engine is glorious and proven, the AWD system is basically a SHAWD unit and long term quality should be better. Among other things, those are the biggest factors.

Mechanical wise the KIA doesn't even have as much power as the Traverse and Explorer it actually competes with.

For the price, Kia really offers a lot in safety and tech features. My Kia is fun, easy to drive and feels premium in quality even though I got the base trim with the $1795 option package. The truck body on frame Borrego was an awesome 7 passenger rear wheel drive (with auto 4x4, 4x4 high/low with electronic auto locking rear differential, skid plates). It had 7500 lb towing for the 6 speed V8 engine with 320+ hp & torque. It had bad timing coming out in 2009, considering that the US just had a recession, and the new American Sorrento plant was due to open in 2010. The same vehicle is still sold elsewhere as the Mohave. Kia offered and still offers so much good quality content for less money than the competition. I'm biased because I still own a 2010 Borrego and I have a 2015 Sportage. The quality of Kia is really good in their SUV's. This Telluride looks promising, the extra length will make it more stable for towing and for winter driving. It's as though Kia is always playing catch up with the competition, but then really delivers great features.

Here in our country, they sell standard kia with KIA logo but you can opt to buy in the dealership itself the K logo. It’s available so the car would look really premium.

I have no need for 3 rows but wow! This vehicle in the moss green with black rims is exactly what I want. Bummed I’d have to go to SX for LED, as that’s important to me, but for the price it’s worth it. Was thinking a Passport, but this just blew me away. Well done Kia!

Thanks for the review! I really like how Telluride looks but top trim (SX) with 8 seats is vital for families (so you can get all possible features like blind spot cameras, LED lights etc). Palisade offers that...at least in Korea. KIA should add such option too. Thumbs up if you're interested in SX with 8 seats!

Not foot activated liftgate. Smart liftgate opens just standing behind with key fob on person.

The correct interior colors on SX are: Butterscotch, Dune, Black and that light gray shown

Kia's got a banger in their line-up now. But damn you can't even buy one, production is slooooooow.

I actually build seats for the telluride, optimas and sorentos. Come september they're ramping up production to 500 per day. Right now its 300.

I owned the Hyundai Veracruz and drove it to 130K. Solid car, my dealership kept asking if I wanted to trade. I said not until you bring a replacement for the large SUV segment. Now we are torn between the palisade and the telluride. Can't wait to own one of these.

This car is on par if not better than MDX and Q7, for sure 100% more reliable than Q7
