Our family already a proud owner of 2015 Hyundai Elantra, 2018 Genesis G80 and now my father wants to get the new Telluride. Great cars with basic cost for normal maintenance and great value with best warranty.

My friend is looking for a third row minivan or crossover to be able to take her friends kids out as well. The USB ports in each row are perfect because her kids always have their IPads or IPods and they forget to charge them. She lives in NY so all wheel drive is great for the snow! it! That color with the black wheels is badass. This is the SUV to beat for 2019. I feel if you decide to buy one just go all in with the fully loaded SX model. I would go with the brown/caramel interior. I love how you break down the exterior and interior design, no other car reviewer does it the way you do. It's been a year since this video releases and now the Telluride is pretty much unavailable between COVID-19 slowing down production and the massive popular demand We really wanted the Telluride but they weren't available in our area, so we picked up the 2020 Sorento S trim for 33,000 cuz we needed a car very very badly, our previous car is a 2005 with 200k miles and had to much engine work for us to be comfortable Sticking with our old car for a few more years.. Wish we could have waited for the Telluride or even the newly redesigned 2021 Sorento, kinda sad about it when you gotta spend that kind of money and you can't get exactly whatcha want, but I'm happy with the Sorento S trim

Great job Joe and Tom. Seems like it will be on many “Best Buy” lists for sure. About the exterior. I like that they went with the Durango/Explorer/Range Rover Discovery look. All the thoughtful engineering is impressive, but especially the back of the from seats with the pocket for handheld device, USB etc. Also very helpful, is the one touch button to tumble the seats forward that any little kid can handle to get back the third row without parent’s help. Lots and lots of features to make this almost as handy as a minivan, but looking a lot cooler.
Thank you for the presentation. My wife leased an S Trim 2 months ago, with the Everlasting Silver color it is a head turner. Yes kudos to KIA's engineers, they did their home work in this vehicle. When we were looking for this car, you can hardly find them in the dealerships. You have to wait or order one. We looked for 3 weeks even go out of state looking but we found one. I tell you, it does not last in the dealerships, people buy them right away. Why, because it's a great car for the price. It does not disappoint. We test drove the Audis, VWs, Mercedes. Not only those cars are more expensive, they don't compare. I am not lying. Try it. I was skeptical at first, having owned German cars and SUVs and the high end Japanese cars. This KIA is worth every penny. Ours got up to $34K out the door, and it is a beauty. We now have approx. 2500 miles on it, and at times I let my wife swap with my Audi and I drive her Telluride on weekends. I am a fan of the Telluride.
I’ve been watching a few reviews of the Telluride lately and man, I’m not even in the market for an SUV (maybe if I had a family), but if I was, this is skyrocketing it’s way up to the top of my hypothetical list. I’m usually a Toyota guy so I’d be looking more at a Highlander or even RAV4 but this Telluride with its features and price are leaving others in its Colorado dust!
I own a 2009 Kia Borrego, which is Kia’s first 3 row, high clearance SUV with real 4WD and towing package. Kia only manufacturers the Borrego in 2008 and 2009 (that I’m aware of) guessing due to the high gas prices and the tanking economy. I LOVE my Borrego and will be watching the Telluride as it eveloves the next couple of years.
Denise Cheney I owned a V8 Borrego too, with a frame, almost 350HP and 7500 towing, a real beast. This telluride is yet another soccer mom car, same performace of a Sedona couple with some Land Rover looks.
Good review, I am actually in the process of having one built. So I saw somethings that you missed. The hooks that are on the back of the driver and pass seat is to wrap your cord of your cell phone when you are using it in the usb plug so its not hanging down were it will be in the way when get in or out of it and that first side of the pocket is for your cell phone to sit in as it charges. Also when you were getting into the 3rd row seats there is a hook on the side that holds the seatbelt out of the way as you get in and out of the 3rd row.
Looks a lot like the Land Rover! My favorite SUV but with the 100K price tag its kind of ridiculous!! I would buy one of these TRs, Kia has definitely done their home work!!
I saw one of these for the first time the other day. I used to have a Range Rover and this thing looks really nice and has a whole lot for your money!! Genius interior and very classy while staying rugged. I think I want one.

Proud to say I build these Tellurides. I build the seats at Adient/Johnson Controls in West Point, GA. Along with the Optimas and Sorentos, as in the kia superbowl commerical You also forgot to demonstrate on the 3rd row that those seats can recline.
Nice SUV. Gotta ask though, if I opt for the "S" version ($33K), can I customize the 20" wheels with the blacked-out effect? Otherwise, it seems one has to pay $41K to get the 20" blacked-out wheels with the SX version only?? In other words, if both wheels are 20", why pay $8000 more in order to get the blacked-out wheels? That can be a deal breaker for many.
@@mikes3827 Yes, the dealership should help you handle that once you make the deal. If you send back the factory wheels, you can get the black ones. Usually when people do that they can either pay up front, or put it at the end of the loan. You'll be paying for the difference between the cost of the two.

Very good very impressed very happy with Kia and Hyundai, but bit of extra power with kia not being supercharged your gonna get the Jam(acceleration) with regular gas and no high maintenance for the Tbc, although I would have no problems with a turbocharged engine. Together Kia and Hyundai give you great choices for the buck. Great review bro!!.

Outstanding video! The Telluride is a great looking vehicle and the only thing I would like to see changed is to remove the big Telluride letters from off the hood. It's on the tailgate and I see no reason why it also needs to be on the hood.

I am an avid German car fan. But, Kia have just given the Germans a huge lesson in automotive design. BMW X7, has a great front. But is kinda ordinary and boring from the side, and rear. Was really disappointed with the Mercedes GLS' design. Kia, have just nailed the design. Only thing, I don't really like the HUGE rear name- badge.
Gave the Germans a lesson ? Let's not be to smart by half. If the car has it in the US, it was already in Europe for 2 years. Cus they gotta see it, copy it, get it in the design room and put it on or in the car.
Rear camera, turn signals on mirrors, turbo 4, all done in Europe way before here. But those are easy ones. Got hundreds of engine and suspension ones to. If you have a couple of hours to read.
Just wait for a year and it will be sold way below msrp, my guess is around low 40’s. First rule is never buy a new production vehicle on the first year it comes out. Always wait for a year. Prices go down and if there are issues, tsb’s will be sent for resolution with fixes from the factory.
In NY, it is the same as in Michigan. The MSRP for that trim, is what you put. It seems the $2000 Prestige Package, is standard on the SX, since it seems the dealers don't order the SX without it, for their own inventory to sell.
I'm in Washington State and it's about the same. I just leased one and it was just shy of 48k. But it's an amazing vehicle for that price! Audi, BMW and Lexus with similar features would be 60+.
Thanks for the great review. I have been looking at these very hard since they came out. We have F350s for our ranch but I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude for daily run around. Been wanting something a touch larger inside. This review sold me. The only thing I would change is I want to see dual exhaust. Pretty much would be perfect in my opinion.
I have a 2013 Optima. Best car I have ever owned. Looks like she's going to get to rest as I go and procure this bad boy. Definitely love it, and it will be my next vehicle, but I wish that the touch screen unit didn't look like an afterthought. I would have liked to seen it built in a tad more.
I wish more suvs would make second row captains chairs. I feel like if you have a third row it’s because you have kids and who can get to the back or when you have car seats in the seats that fold down to access the throw row.
Looks like KIA hit the nail in the head with the price range and the trim levels this might even give the Ford Expedition Limited Stealth a run for its money congrats for the both of you to getting 1st hand experience on the new SUV thanks for the info, didnt know the name of the SUV was based off a old mining town XD this might be a best seller if it had the 3.3L Twin turbo engine from the Stinger.

I'm also a bit concerned about the power available, or lack thereof. It looks like it can go but probably won't be that much of a blast to drive with the available engine power. I hope we get a bigger engine, subsequently. The overall design is awesome. Good job!😊

Hmm looks similar traverse and GMC Acadaia Denali! I owned a Kia Optima in 2003. It constantly had issues, so given that I personally would shy away from buying this. Once I bought my 2013 Chevy Tahoe, I was pleased! Just traded it in last week for a GM Acadia Denali! For me and my family we will always stick to GM cars!!

It depends, at my dealership, theyre cheaper than similarly loaded sorento's. A fully loaded telluride is cheaper than a fully loaded sorento with us atm. But thats expected to change after they flood the market them.
Great review. But while in the third seat you could have shown the pull tab that allows them to be reclined back.. I've owned mine for almost a month and it is by far the most superior of the class by far. More power, better fuel mileage, more room and even about 15% less cost (and more against some) in any comparable model. All top notch interior all models have leather.. No cheap cloth models in this vehicle. Simply amazing. Also they come in many more colors than the (3) the website and advertising listed. For example there is Sangria Red never mentioned and the Moss Green in the advertising is available but originally listed on the website.. KIA has created a superior class of their own with this vehicle, hands down.
Those "eyebrows" in the windscreen were first used on the 1951 Kaiser. Filming hack: When filming an interior in strong sunshine, buy a cheap white shower curtain then drape it over the window area, it will act as a scrim and diffuse the harshness of the sunlight. .
I saw the review for this and the palisade and love the combination of the 2. Wonder which one will give me the most features for around 40-43k. Nice cars and so many great features.

I’m usually a Toyota guy so I’d be looking more at a Highlander or even RAV4 but this Telluride with its features and price are leaving others in its Colorado dust!

I own a 2009 Kia Borrego, which is Kia’s first 3 row, high clearance SUV with real 4WD and towing package. Kia only manufacturers the Borrego in 2008 and 2009 (that I’m aware of) guessing due to the high gas prices and the tanking economy. I LOVE my Borrego and will be watching the Telluride as it eveloves the next couple of years.
Denise Cheney I owned a V8 Borrego too, with a frame, almost 350HP and 7500 towing, a real beast. This telluride is yet another soccer mom car, same performace of a Sedona couple with some Land Rover looks.

I am actually in the process of having one built.
So I saw somethings that you missed.
The hooks that are on the back of the driver and pass seat is to wrap your cord of your
cell phone when you are using it in the usb plug so its not hanging down were it will be in the way when get in or out of it and that first side of the pocket is for your cell phone to sit in as it charges.
Also when you were getting into the 3rd row seats there is a hook on the side that holds the seatbelt out of the way as you get in and out of the 3rd row.
Looks a lot like the Land Rover! My favorite SUV but with the 100K price tag its kind of ridiculous!! I would buy one of these TRs, Kia has definitely done their home work!!
I like the "TELLURIDE" being up on top of the hood, as opposed to sunk flush. Makes it easy to remove cleanly.

I saw one of these for the first time the other day. I used to have a Range Rover and this thing looks really nice and has a whole lot for your money!! Genius interior and very classy while staying rugged. I think I want one.

I love this ride I love the bigness of it because I am a big person myself I love the cost efficiency I love everything about this suv and the price is amazing for all the things that you get I think this is going to be my vehicle here I've been trying to determine what type of vehicle to get because I am a very conservative shopper but I think this would be it right here I've seen nothing better Kia deals for me congratulations. They have done a very outstanding job

Mr william, i am so speechless, this car has got to be the best SUV in 2019, that price tag gives it a huge thumbs up, a beautifully made vehicle that shows the designers thought about everything, you would pay $150k for one of the germans with all these gizmos... KIA might not build auch an excellent vehicle in the future, this is so spot on...
Proud to say I build these Tellurides. I build the seats at Adient/Johnson Controls in West Point, GA. Along with the Optimas and Sorentos, as in the kia superbowl commerical You also forgot to demonstrate on the 3rd row that those seats can recline.
Nice SUV. Gotta ask though, if I opt for the "S" version ($33K), can I customize the 20" wheels with the blacked-out effect? Otherwise, it seems one has to pay $41K to get the 20" blacked-out wheels with the SX version only?? In other words, if both wheels are 20", why pay $8000 more in order to get the blacked-out wheels? That can be a deal breaker for many.
@@mikes3827 Yes, the dealership should help you handle that once you make the deal. If you send back the factory wheels, you can get the black ones. Usually when people do that they can either pay up front, or put it at the end of the loan. You'll be paying for the difference between the cost of the two.

I know sometimes dealers can be anal about car purchases & packages, but I'm REALLY liking the look of the new Telluride (I never expected that kind of large SUV from KIA, to be honest), and the $33K price for the "S" model w/ 20" wheels seems perfect. Bro your perfect for the job watched like three or four of your review already and three is nothing you leave out and your detailed but you keep it moving. Speaking of moving, lol, I love how fast you drive haha lol, it's awesome!!! and really the way it should be right!! Somone has to show what your gonna by step on lol like that. Plus the grips for Mom. Very good very impressed very happy with Kia and Hyundai, but bit of extra power with kia not being supercharged your gonna get the Jam(acceleration) with regular gas and no high maintenance for the Tbc, although I would have no problems with a turbocharged engine. Together Kia and Hyundai give you great choices for the buck. Great review bro!!.

Outstanding video! The Telluride is a great looking vehicle and the only thing I would like to see changed is to remove the big Telluride letters from off the hood. It's on the tailgate and I see no reason why it also needs to be on the hood.

I am an avid German car fan. But, Kia have just given the Germans a huge lesson in automotive design.
BMW X7, has a great front. But is kinda ordinary and boring from the side, and rear. Was really disappointed with the Mercedes GLS' design.
Kia, have just nailed the design. Only thing, I don't really like the HUGE rear name- badge.

Gave the Germans a lesson ? Let's not be to smart by half. If the car has it in the US, it was already in Europe for 2 years. Cus they gotta see it, copy it, get it in the design room and put it on or in the car.
Rear camera, turn signals on mirrors, turbo 4, all done in Europe way before here. But those are easy ones. Got hundreds of engine and suspension ones to. If you have a couple of hours to read.

Just wait for a year and it will be sold way below msrp, my guess is around low 40’s. First rule is never buy a new production vehicle on the first year it comes out. Always wait for a year. Prices go down and if there are issues, tsb’s will be sent for resolution with fixes from the factory.

In NY, it is the same as in Michigan. The MSRP for that trim, is what you put. It seems the $2000 Prestige Package, is standard on the SX, since it seems the dealers don't order the SX without it, for their own inventory to sell.
I'm in Washington State and it's about the same. I just leased one and it was just shy of 48k. But it's an amazing vehicle for that price! Audi, BMW and Lexus with similar features would be 60+.

Thanks for the great review. I have been looking at these very hard since they came out. We have F350s for our ranch but I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude for daily run around. Been wanting something a touch larger inside. This review sold me. The only thing I would change is I want to see dual exhaust. Pretty much would be perfect in my opinion.

I have a 2013 Optima. Best car I have ever owned. Looks like she's going to get to rest as I go and procure this bad boy. Definitely love it, and it will be my next vehicle, but I wish that the touch screen unit didn't look like an afterthought. I would have liked to seen it built in a tad more.
I wish more suvs would make second row captains chairs.
I feel like if you have a third row it’s because you have kids and who can get to the back or when you have car seats in the seats that fold down to access the throw row.

Another awesome review Joe! Great camera work too by Tom! I agree, I too would have preferred dual exhausts as a minimum to make the rear look that bit more symmetrical and aggressive. I'm also a bit concerned about the power available, or lack thereof. It looks like it can go but probably won't be that much of a blast to drive with the available engine power. I hope we get a bigger engine, subsequently. The overall design is awesome. Good job!😊

Hmm looks similar traverse and GMC Acadaia Denali! I owned a Kia Optima in 2003. It constantly had issues, so given that I personally would shy away from buying this. Once I bought my 2013 Chevy Tahoe, I was pleased! Just traded it in last week for a GM Acadia Denali! For me and my family we will always stick to GM cars!!

I saw an EX in a dealer lot recently. Loads of features. Rung up for 40 large. Good value for the feature and size content.
It depends, at my dealership, theyre cheaper than similarly loaded sorento's. A fully loaded telluride is cheaper than a fully loaded sorento with us atm. But thats expected to change after they flood the market them.
You can google Kia telluride and it literally tells you the MSRP... it’s not 45k 😂 it’s 31 and change. 🥴

Great review. But while in the third seat you could have shown the pull tab that allows them to be reclined back.. I've owned mine for almost a month and it is by far the most superior of the class by far. More power, better fuel mileage, more room and even about 15% less cost (and more against some) in any comparable model. All top notch interior all models have leather.. No cheap cloth models in this vehicle. Simply amazing. Also they come in many more colors than the (3) the website and advertising listed. For example there is Sangria Red never mentioned and the Moss Green in the advertising is available but originally listed on the website.. KIA has created a superior class of their own with this vehicle, hands down.

Filming hack: When filming an interior in strong sunshine, buy a cheap white shower curtain then drape it over the window area, it will act as a scrim and diffuse the harshness of the sunlight. .
