Forgiveness is both personal and individual. We need God to help us find out peace. We have to accept that people can only do what they can do. Sometimes just walking away and staying away is all we can manage. We must not judge the measures of forgiveness of others. It's between a person and God and nobody else.

forgiveness is so hard and a mystery to me. especially when the offender doesnt even acknowledge it, the quickest way i find to forgive someone is when that person just stays away from me

You don't forgive them because they apologise or deserve it or you feel better about what happened - you do it because you want to be free and God can't forgive you until you forgive others. You ask him to help you and you speak it out no matter how much it hurts. You ignore your feelings and speak the scriptures over the situation.
It will resolve, as you do it every time it comes back up. You say I choose to forgive this person in Jesus name.
Pray for your enemies. You will be freed. ❤

I can relate to both your experiences. I got hurt by someone close to me over a year ago and I grew bitter towards them over time. I wasn’t really present in a number of things and it became a struggle to actually love (agape). In February, I asked God to take away my bitterness and He did, overnight. He then started showing me address in which I needed to forgive and it was incredible just how much I had held in my heart. John 8:36 days “Who the Son sets free is free indeed”. I walked in that freedom last week when I spoke to this individual and to some one close to them that I also just as a result of my own hurt, and I didn’t feel any knots in my stomach.

People who do wrong by others are not in their right minds, they're influenced by the enemy. They do not know God or have true peace, we have to pray for them Amen

Thank you this is gold standard and yes i can understand how the movie theater would play over and over again and the words were alive I hope i find an off button then delete it and my happiness has returned and my peace. Now when some small thing creeps in I have to watch it and i did not know was 46 when my husband passed and got into a new church here in NZ so things had to be so much more serious than just something little and yes it was within a church setting but thanks be to God most has been wiped from my memory banks just got to learn how when the enemy tries again

I have always struggled with anger , resentments, and unforgiveness. I have been working on it with a therapist and 12 step sponsor, and it is getting better. I was told that resentments only hurt you, not the wrongdoers. I had to write down my resentments and how they affected me to see the damage to motivate me to let go. I also had to write down my part in the resentments so I could see where i was in the wrong, make amends, change behaviors, build my character and reconcile relationships if appropriate. Obviously there are some situations you don't play a part like if you were abused. I really get into psychology and human behavior so I like to understand why people act how they do for example mental illness. It helps to have compassion on them and to wish them well. This is NOT justifying or condoning it just helps to understand, have compassion, and wish them well. Its also not good to get revenge, not only because of consequence but they will get their karma and there will be justice. If it motivates them to change and make amends be happy for them.

    A BIG AMEN!!!!
    Forgiveness is a ministry.
Forgiveness must come from the heart and not from the lips.
    🙏🏼✳️✳️🙏🏼✳️✳️🙏🏼✳️✳️🙏🏼
Jesus Christ forgave me when he was on that old rugged cross so I can go free.
Jesus forgave me, I can now find it in my heart to forgive those who had hurt me.

I have forgiven a lot of people even people who took my niece and nephews lives Because I know that God is in control. I will never let a murderer have power over me or anyone else infact. I just continue on and pray for My country that My father served.

Dear Mary...it may be possible the our Father (Holy Spirit) has not shown you the root of your torment...like you I like 'to see justice done to those who appear to be getting away with it'...but God knows everything...we have all done stuff to others also..I once went to a healing retreat..hadn't a clue what was going on inside me but was asked to go out to a garden with lots of large trees...I was then asked to' tell the tree all the horrible hurtful things that had happened to me by others..I experienced a huge outpouting of howling from inside..I kicked the tree very hard..had to get it out..had no idea of all the hurt inside of me...the tree could take it..the relief I felt was imense and the lightness was so very wonderful...so please don't carry your burden that Jesus wants to take away from you..forgivness is God's gift to yourself from Him...seek out a trusted person whom you can share all this with..I bless you with peace inside xx

I can't forgive on my own, I'm constantly asking the Lord for help to forgive others as He has forgiven me. Then I start praying for those who I'm striving to forgive, because you seriously can't have hard feelings towards someone you're earnestly praying for. This has brought me peace in my life.

Its so hard many times to really come to the conclusion that me for example im still holding forgiveness towards someone so close to the family and sometimes even in you own house, but we know only the holy spirit can bring us the conviction to repent, just act soon and God its always ready to help because His son Jesus already pay the price with his blood, amento that

So, if paranoia is a sign of unforgiveness, then what about those who are paranoid about going to Hell *for* unforgiveness? We forgive so we won't go to Hell, but the possibility remains that we might end up harboring more unforgiveness in the future and die before repenting of it, which causes more paranoia, which can lead to more unforgivness, etc.

The only thing that will get you into heaven or keep you out of heaven is your faith in Jesus. The righteousness needed to enter heaven is not one you can ever work out. It is Christ's righteousness that he gives to you freely when you give your life to him. Your own righteousness is like filthy rags before God.

Many ignorant individuals think i am unforgiving unfortunately they don't read the BIBLE they listen to wrong counsel. Whoever decided to break up my marriage thought i was gonna get involved with someone else. Whatever the TRUTH may be I have the right to STAY SINGLE AND PURE.

I have had a horrible time trying to forgive someone that every time I let them into my life does very hurtful, horrible things to me. I have prayed about it alot but sometimes I still feel like I haven't forgiven them. Its so hard when they can look you right in the eyes and lie that they did nothing wrong when in some instances there was even witnesses. Is it wrong to keep this person from coming around you when you know they will stab you in the back and do more hurtful things if you allow them back in your life and also obviously just want to use you for what they can get from you?

It is not about the Blood of Jesus - who may (or possibly may not) have already forgiven those who did me permanent harm - it is my own grief at my personal loss, my inability to set aside my anger/ rage/ desire for Justice. I crave Justice. And vindication. Restorative Justice/ Redress and official acknowledgement of the harm that was done to me. "Know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free." Forgiveness and Mercy will set my abusers free. Forgiveneas and Mercy will NOT set me, myself free. And how can i pretend to forgive? That is not Truth.

I feel like you, an inside hurt, for some months since someone hurt me.Nevertheless I know I need to forgive to be forgiven by Jesus. I know God is the perfect judge and His justice is perfect. He is our vindicator. I decide to forgive to be free of this hurt heart and be happy, I pray for the other person repent, but if not, the revenge belongs to God. My role is to forgive, let go, live in peace. We don't must to live with abusive people, no money or status quo, nothing worth our peace with God and our salvation. Sometimes we aren't able to forgive because our wounds, but praying to Jesus help us to do it because it's the right thing to do, in one day He can heal you and me because He see our heart. Jesus carried all our pain for us, but we need to give it to Him

An intimate relationship with Jesus will change you and give you peace, and understanding about how God works in our life for our growing. We can't grow without pain, but we don't grow if we remain in the pain. We need to walk ahead. Put who hurt you in the merciful hands of God and let them go, walk ahead looking only to Jesus, thinking only in who loves you and the blessings you have in your life, even the small ones. ❤

@@eagleofjesus7636Absolutely! Our forgiveness is a gift.
I'm only beginning to comprehend the enormity of the gift of salvation from our adored Lord and Saviour, God the Son, Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, through His passion on the cross.
When retribution is necessary the Lord will repay for the glory of almighty God.

‘Forgiveness’ and ‘Unforgiveness’ ‘Forgiving’ ‘Deeply Forgiving’
These two people have their creeds. But where is their depth?

Forgiveness is not a feeling or emotion its a choice.
Major sign of unforgiveness is sickness and infirmity. All of it has the same bitter root.
