I don't understand, when I hide in viewport and disable in renders, the subject is no longer visible at all in the scene, only the rig and the particles remain.
Hi! I recently purchased this bundle and am having issues with the materials of the guide mesh. I'm trying to dissolve an object that has multiple material slots and I'm not sure how to go about adding those separate materials back onto the mesh created by the geonodes setup. There is only one Set Material node in the Vanishing Mesh geonode setup, and I added Vertex Groups to the original object, but I'm unable select those vertex groups, since they're assigned to the original object and not the Vanishing Mesh object. Thank you in advance for any help or guidance that you can offer!
Hello, I have blender 4.2. Vanish mesh works. But if I do particle dust, when I start the animation, I don't see any mesh but only the particles and the smoke. I correctly assign guide mesh and still mesh and all
Hi, Thanks for purchasing the pack. That's how it supposed to work, you have to use the effects as layers. Vanishing mesh handles the disappearing of the original mesh. Particles dust make dust and particles simulation. To make a disintegration effect, you have to use both vanishing mesh and dust effect. Then hide the original mesh from the render.
Thanks, it works.. but now my problem is with materials, I have a human generator mesh, do I have to bake all materials into one to make it works?.. and also hair disapper in the simulation
I'm having issues with both vanishing mesh and particle dust disintegration on blender 4.1, I've followed the instructions but no changes are being done to the mesh. I have tried with different settings in both EEVEE and cycles but I haven't been able to make it work, can you confirm if this has been optimized for blender 4.1? This seems like a pretty useful tool tho
Hi, v1.1 of this product was made for use with 4.2+, As mentioned in the product page "v1.1 of this Template Pack Only Supports Blender 4.2x and Up, You can use the v1.01 for 3.6,4.0 and 4.1" Also, make sure your meshes have applied scale(1,1,1) default values might need some big changes if not.
Hey i bought this and it worked really good. I just have a problem with Objects who have more than one Material. How can i fix that? it can only apply one material to the Vanishing_Mesh
you just have to separate the objects by material and use the effect on each of the different parts - there is no other solution right now@@TheFutoryan
Nice setups! I bought the pack as well and seems like a great addition to my library. Is there a way to apply it to an imported allembic animation in Blender? It seems to be stuck on the first frame after applying the effect.
Hi, Thanks for purchasing DisintegrationFXs. If you are refering to "Vanishing mesh" preset, you can enable the delete geometry option. it will delete the actual geometry. turning it off will keep the mesh but make it disappear through its material. If this is not your issue try refreshing the simulation cache. delete the cache files and replay the animation or simply close and reopen blender. If nothing worked get back here and I will help you to solve the issue. (anyway, I am currently working on an update to Disintegration FXs which will improve and optimise it for Blender 4.x and will release in coming weeks)
No i'm actually having trouble with the particles only preset. I selected my guide mesh and eveyrthing, the particles appear but the mesh does not dissapear@@mdreamslk
Disintegration FXs made in a way that allows the user to combine a few different effects to achieve different looking effects. Particle only setup will show you only disintegrating particles. To make your original mesh disappear, use vanishing mesh preset.
bought this producty yesterday in hope that I didn't have to replicate your tutorial you also uploaded. I can't get it to work tho? My controller doesn't interact with the mesh even tho I've plugged it in. is it a 4.0 thing or am I just stupid?
Disintegration FXs works in Blender 4.0, it could be a scaling issue. Make sure your mesh has applied scale (1,1,1). Otherwise controller will interact with the original scale of the mesh. To apply the scale you can use Ctrl+A
Hello, I bought this and it worked great! However, i have to export this simulation into amblic cache so that i can render it in ue5. can you tell me how can i do this?
Hi, Thanks for purchasing the pack. There is not a proper way to export geometry nodes based volumetric to other applications. How ever if you take these geo setups and add them to a volume object, instead of the mesh object(comes by default), then you will be able to export it in usd format. when exported it will create a volumes folder containing the simulated volume as a vdb file. which supports by many applications. Not sure how to do this with alembic files.
Disintegration FXs is made using 3.6. Although it is not optimised yet for the latest versions(will soon be updated to Blender 4.2 LTS), Disintegration FXs is working as intended even in 4.2. Please let us know the issue you are facing.
Hi, Thanks for purchasing the Disintegration FXs. The latest version(v1.1) works on Blender 4.2.1 and the previous version works on 3.6 and up. You can contact me via Blender Market or email to resolve the issues you are facing.
Wow, that's an awesome looking effect, I love it! Thanks for creating and sharing!!
Everything works perfectly and effortlessly ! Thank you! Great tool!

Hi. Did you ever get an answer to your question. I am having the same issue.

Particle_Inside_Fill does not work. Any help? They are simply not appearing.
Just bought the nodes and i can use vanish just fine but when i choose anything else the model created by the node doesn't appear.
same here
This is happening to me currently
have your found a solution ?

Nevermind. I figured out where it went wrong. There was a scale issue with ABC and when I use the animated abc as guid mesh it works!
