Unfortunately I am from this type of family, let me share a bit. My mother was and still is an ambitious career woman. She prioritised her education over me and my brother when we were little. Then completely put us aside as she pursued her career. During the busiest time of her career she got pregnant and immediately raged on my father. She would do anything to get rid of the things that come on her way of career path. And she did, she took a pill and we lost our soon to be sibling. She was happier than ever. Later on my father faced bankruptcy and our family need to rely on her income to live. She made that as if now she’s the head of the family and treated my father with disrespect because he’s not the one who’s making money right now. A decade later, she’s getting old and just reached the peak of her career and I never felt like I’ve ever had a mother. Instead it feels like I have two fathers. This is how non patriarchal modern liberal system works. They’re destroying our society starting from family through messing with gender roles and their obsession with ‘equality’. It’s sickening. May Allah forgive and guide us all to his straight path.

1. The lady does have immense passion for the religion
2. Although said passion is derived from a combination of disappointment at the state of the ummah today and a coloured understanding of Islam through the lens of feminism
3. She also seems to display serious cognitive dissonance with regards to obvious male dominance and leadership afforded in Islam
Her passion for Islam is sincere, but she does need alot of guidance. As we all do.
