@wozza59 can I ask, where is the dealer? I live near Preston too and as far as I can tell the nearest dealer is Appleyards in Keighley. Is that where you went or is there one nearer, as I couldn't find one when searching on Google? Doesn't seem to be many dealers around and none in Lancs.
I'll be dropping into Lings tomorrow to have a good look at it.
Well done for getting a look at the hottest ticket in town. Globally, Cfmoto will sell a boat load of this model. It's happened here in Australia.
It's so cheap, just buy one!
Why the fascination with cruise control?
It is embarrassing that it is a Chinese company that has made the bike everyone is asking for...
Only because of the stigma attached to the cheaper and earlier Chinese bikes. China makes most of the stuff you own and own so many mainstream manufacturers now.
They laughed at the Japanese years ago and they have dominated the market for 30 years. Chinese may be a similar story.
kind of reminds me of the old Kawasaki kle500 of 30 years ago
Probably rather have one of those earlier kle500 they're 48hp and came in some funky colours
Makes you realise how ahead of the game Kawasaki were, i.e. same parallel twin in the gpz500, z500 and KLE500 (eat your heart out Honda).
@@davidbesant it was almost the same engine in the 450 Ltd so they had a cruiser aswell
I and a friend took a couple of 450mts out for a road only test ride at the ABR festival, absolutely brilliant bike, so much more power than the figures suggest, a lot of bike for the money, the only issue we both had was the throttle was very on off, but they were brand new and perhaps had a little too much slack in the cables. I will be placing a deposit tomorrow and wait.
This could well come to be Henry Ford’s Model T of ADV Motorcycles. It appears to have what everyone has been asking for, with weight and cruise control being the only exceptions both would add cost. It’s extremely affordable too!
Royal Enfield has their new Himalayan, but it appears like more of a dual sport.
Honda, screwed the pooch with their NX500, and they had such an opportunity to really do what CF MOTO has done. If Honda was smart, they’d buy a few 450MT motorcycles and emulate it with their own flare of course.
KTM is apparently working on a revised 390.
This weight/displacement class is heating up fast, and CF MOTO has set the bar high!!! They plan to dominate.
Be interesting to see if CF Moto can keep up the aftersales/ spares situation. Ive a kymco scooter and it's great, but getting spares is a nightmare. If they can keep a decent inventory of parts in the uk, then CF Moto will be a force to be reckoned with.
Over the weekend I passed by the dealer in my country (Costa Rica), they will keep one as demo, all the rest already sold out and I am sure the next shipment will be the same, sold out before arrival.

I am hoping we get ;em here in the USA soon! Oh…WAIT! I dwell in commiefornia so in spite of our governor’s love of communism we may not be getting these. I do have a CF Moto dealer near enough…Can it be fitted with cruise control?

Interesting a cheap Chinese bike has cross-spoke wheels. Why can't the Yamaha T7 etc? The MT is impressive, alright.
The T7 having tubed tyres is awesome, I carry a couple of spare tubes and can smash around off road all day, replaced the rear tube off road not so long back l, was quick and easy, I don't think tubeless is great off road, even with a massive gash in the tyre I managed to get it back to the road for recovery

@john-wq8kf Fair enough and you are entitled to your view but I never understand comments like that. Probably more than 3/4 of the things you own are made in China.
And also only America, Russia and China have their own space stations. I wouldn't buy Chinese made cars/bikes 10 years ago but now I would. Same with the Korean and Japanese cars in the past.
