I'm blown away by the quality of these royal enfield bikes and for the cost!!!! I mean look at all the things they've thought of and put on the bike and for the money. The USB charger how neat it was tucked away there in perfect spot. I mean the expensive bikes don't do that. The styling is fantastic, very ducati scrambler looking, and based on riding press videos it's a great handling bike and the motor is nice based on those videos as well. I don't see loose wires and things all over the place is seems so nicely tucked and just well thought out. And I'm not sure if this bike has them but they have metal controls on the handlebars and not cheap plastic. I think it's pretty amazing to be honest.
Are they better quality than they were two years ago
Sat on one today at Bob Minions in Derby. Absolutely love it. Total bargain. The black one reminded me of an RD350LC. And that's no bad thing. I think these are going to be a good seller.

Brilliant. I have the Himalayan 450 and I've been delighted with it. This bike looks brilliant. BTW, I get an average 91 mpg, which was not my priority at all but pleasing non-the-less.
I'm glad you like the purple one cos it's the 'Playa Black' for me so that's good, no arguments ☺ Like you, I personally think it's a stonkin looking roadster and I loved that engine in a Himalayan I test rode recently. Just waiting for my local dealer to take delivery of a 'demo' Guerrilla. I also loved the look of the Hntr 350 ....... so I bought one 18 months, brilliant little bike for blatting round the country lanes. The quality of theRroyal Enfield is mind blowing. I recently had a crash on a slippery road and broke my left hand but the bike didn't have a single scratch.
I know that the drag races are not the reference point when it comes to engine performance but after watching some of the videos it smokes speed 400 in each of them even with being 15 kg heavier than it. It is designed like a flat track bike.😊

Playa black gets my vote very tempting with a few choice extras . Be intersting to see how the two throttle map modes work and if its as jerky on and off thrittle as my speed, though the triumph is a bit prettier.
Clock off to one side, filler cap off to one side, exhaust off to one side 🤣 They’re definitely a good looker. Rear suspension looks a bit on the firm side from the lack of compression when you sat on the bike. Be interesting to see your thoughts on this after your test ride.

Could it be that the purpose of the offset display is to make space for a smartphone mounting? Its perfect with the usb outlet.
From what I have seen, according to rewievers from India, this bike is little bit below Triumph Speed 400 when it comes to attention to detail, fit and finish, but is still on a respectable level. The fuel efficiency is very good, but due to very small tank (11 liters) it doesn't give a lot of range. Moreover, some users report that the bike is not going straight when you let go the steering handlebar. When you do that, the bike turns slightly to the right. Its rare but reported by multiple people. The engine needs a little bit of tuning as well. However Guerilla is very fun to ride and has character. The TFT display (even if offset to the right) is very good, has a lot of information and is easy to read. The bike is very agile and easy to handle. This is not a scrambler, but a city roadster which can do some slight offroading. Royal Enfield has a lot of accessories planed for this model. I plan to buy one, but maybe not right now. I would recommend waiting for them to sort out all the details that need tweaking first.
Had a test ride on one, did not find any problems at all , would not say it is below the Triumph at all !
I would buy this bike over the Triumph any day, has much more presence.
1.) It doesn't need lot of range since it is not meant for touring .
2.) The engine performance are way better than Speed 400
3.) Looks better than Speed 400

If I was looking for a replacement for my KTM 390 in this category, it would be one of these, assuming it proves to be reliable. Purple doesn't go with yellow. Offset dial and petrol cap: fine for me. The centre stand is a plus.
Bike looks nice, not sure about the van location though.
These will look great with the fender eliminator on the back

The only thing Royal Enfield doesn't makes good are the designs of the fuel tanks
Personally I think they’ve missed a trick with this. The Hunter is more pleasing to the eye with the twin shock rear end. More of a classy look. This just looks as if it could be any number of modern machines. Bit like the 450 Himalayan. Bland styling like many manufacturers. The Sherpa engine in the Hunter however, now that’s a different ball game.
They're targeting "younger audience" with this one, hence the modern and funky look.

Who would buy the Honda SCL500 scrambler over this? The RE is better looking and $1000.00 or more, cheaper.
Twin is better on highways
Would look nicer with a bench seat, imo.
The gaitors (?) on the front forks look dated and cheap - at least compared to the classy upside down showa's on the Himalayan. Spoil the modern looks quite a bit?
