I picked up mine Friday 12 Jun as well, the grey one and it looks fantastic in person. Went for a ride straight from the dealership, all day and BTW, you just can't keep it under 4k rpm at 100kph on the highway. Some random guys at the Robo pie shop noted how great it sounded, I said, "yeah, picked it up from the dealer this morning, the exhaust is stock, it sounds spot-on". I worked the thing up and down the rev range, doing my best not to keep it too high for long periods as there was no way I was sitting at 70kph on 110 motorway - even if it was just for a relative short distance. I can say, on tarmac in the dry (which is all I've done so far), the tyres are very good. Factory ride-away suspension settings are way too hard (and I'm a little heavier than your). I also will need to check the sag and then set the preload for my weight. It's a great fun bike, loving the roll-on throttle response at any speed and one thing which I'm loving - it carries its weight really really well as it doesn't feel top-heavy at all. Hitting some easy gravel tomorrow, can't wait!

    Yeah! CFMOTO rules.
I also have a quite similar situation. I wanted to buy my first adv bike and these two were the two main choices for me. Either it was a CRF300L or the CFMOTO 450MT.
I live in Madagascar and the CRF300L costs 12.000 EUR at the honda dealer (yes, 12000€, no joke!). I ended up buying the CFMOTO 450MT directly from Foshan in China and it is arriving by the end of this month. The bike cost me 31580CNY(about 4100€) and I had to pay 1200€ for ocean freight from China to Madagascar. I can't wait for it!

Sounds sweet is an understatement! That thing sounds like a full race Ducati 916 V-Twin. The MT450 is the best sounding bike on the market right now. It really sounds like a 90 degree V-Twin. I get what you are saying, it doesn't feel as heavy as the spec sheet says. It feels as light as the rally in my opinion but here in Australia I have to cover big distance to get to some of the tracks that I want to ride. BTW here the Rally is by most, regarded as a light adventure bike and the 300L is more a dual sport. I am aware that we sometimes refer to these differently to some other countries.

My Rally is close in weight to the stock 300l with aftermarket exhaust and lithium battery, . I don’t want to be lifting anymore than what I have with the Rally. Because I have dropped it. • @michaelwaddell3209
      @michaelwaddell3209  28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Valid comments. My opinions relate in comparing it to the rally not the L which is lighter. (unless of course you added the bigger tank and all the other stuff and made it like a rally anyway) Everyones idea of an adventure bike is different and lets not get into that debate now.I suppose it comes down to the fact I would be happy taking the MT450 anywhere I would have taken the Rally. Certainly the MT has its limitations, of course it does, so does the rally. That's why you have a Beta right? It goes back to your intended use.
That extra weight of the MT is carried low. Even pushing it around the garage it feels similar if not lighter. Again, everyone has there own opinions, uses and priorities and that's great. When comparing bikes it goes well beyond the spec sheet of what it says it weighs. At one point in my life I had a KLE500 (parallel twin 500) which weighed 200kg and a DR650 which weighed 40 kgs less. In reality the KLE felt 40kg lighter, was more manageable and easier to pick up than the DR. That was due to the weight of the parallel twin was down low. In my opinion it is a similar scenario.

CF Moto is looking at the market for real, not in a dream world. Middle aged men are not big and strong, not able to man handle GS 1250, or something that weighs @550+ and if you install bags, @180-220 lbs rider bike is 900+ and can't be used safely off road. And most riders are 80/20 and the 20%off road is non technical dirt roads, light camping. So CF Moto having tubeless wheels, decent suspension and some road manners is for the real market not make believe where people are riding off road 95% of the time.. that's in Hollywood style videos not real life

Significantly more power and fuel but an extra 20 kg or more. Always a trade off.

@@MrEtnorb you honestly don’t feel the extra weight, in fact pushing it around the garage it actually feels lighter. I suppose the weight is in the engine which is down low.

Ride one first. They feel very different. I used to have a wr250r, great bike I just couldn't spend much time on it on the highway. The bike was capable of it, just I found it hard work on that bike.

@@michaelwaddell3209 It's a bit loud I've already done a test drive, in acceleration and downshifts and also in the forest it has an interesting sound, but on relaxed rides on the road it's annoying.
If you pay attention, you'll notice that there's a noticeable sound resonance when you're driving at a constant speed. In my case, it forced me to vary the speed slightly up and down from time to time to avoid hearing that resonance. Eventually this resonance that I am talking about may be due to the fact that the bike is new or it may just be something that happened only in the unit I tried

44hp is what a 25 years old monocylinder bike performs. This 2 cylinders 450 should be making 55-60hp.

Name a 450cc road single from 25 years ago that made 44hp. An XR400 was 34

Even if that were true… we’re now at euro 5+… why do you think engines keep getting larger in displacement but small if any gains in hp.

  • @SatansBaby1

They lie about the weight and fuel consumption, my screen shows 4.1L /100km , measured at the gas station, its about 4.6L. That is a lot. My average with about 80kmh speed on the road is about 4.3-4,4L/100km. More then tenere 700, and has about the same KG.
What a fail of a bike.

The Japanese big name manufacturers seem to hate medium displacement enduros. They give people the DR650 single, the KLR650 single. Or if you want a parallel twin, you have to spend twice as much (literally) and get the Suzuki DE800. The thing is, nobody wants to ride a single cylinder motorcycle. They buy the single cylinder, because that's the only thing on the market... But a single cylinder bike is SO boring.
