I choose the OJ. I just like how the stripe on the right side isn't broken by the battery cover, and the Nerf orange is just so iconic that I actually expect orange in most Nerf blasters now.

I think they only will make moudulus reskins for old blasters that used to be most customisable like the recon/retalliator used to be the most customizable blaster and now we havr the recon mark 2 so was the stryfe which suits the idea of the modulus line where you can customize your blaster the exact way you want and now we have the modulus stryfe

I really like the modulus stryfe as it's white allows so much painting options and with all the 3d printed kits that you can do with the blaster just seems like a field day for me.
i only have got 1 stryfe and its the og elite stryfe; used to be a modding tool, now a nostalgia product.

Honestly, I think the modulus stryfe was the lowest of the low, and it went back up with the battlecamo stryfe. The battlecamo has a solid looking paint job and is actually reliable without mods

I proffer the blue one as I don’t mod or paint and I spent a lot of time and money on getting the blue attachments. And let’s be honest the blue attachments look so much better than the modulus counterparts

There is the Tornado Strike stock. It's not completely Modulus coloured but I run one on my Modulus Stryfe and it looks alright. It might be an option, and it would also be easier to paint than the other Raider stock reskins (to match your Modulus blasters), as it is already predominantly white.
If Drac could make a video showing off all of his stryfe blasters, it would be amazing!! Like if you agree and post more about it so he can see it.

I found an 2011 Elite stryfe with batteries for 6 dollars at a thrift store.. coolest thrift store find. It had a mag from 2007 interestingly enough.

Modulus, I like the color scheme, that it is white with gray, that is going to be so nice when I am done!
Definitely the original for me. The XD Stryfe looks too plain and the Modulus Stryfe has the laziest paintjob. If we had an N-Strike (or at least Stinger) repaint, I'd be up for that. However, at the moment, the best NIB Stryfe for me is the Rapid Red. On sale for £12.50 and comes with a 12 clip rather than a 6.

I’m a proud owner of the original blue stryfe, lightly modified with locks out it’s better aesthetically and functionally than the other types.
The reason they made it $30 was to reduce the demand, b/c the other stryfes were being sold out way too faster because of the $20 cost. Now, I can only find OJ and regular stryfes for 60-70 dollars, but I can reliably buy a modulus stryfe for $30. It’s even better during the holidays and Black Friday too
I managed to find an OJ Stryfe at my local thrift store for $4 and it was in very good condition
I would choose the blue one. Mostly because I really like the elite color scheme, and it matches my retaliated, which was my first nerf blaster.
OJ Stryfe, of course. It has the best of the internal revisions and the lowest price tag. You can also paint it whatever color you want fairly easily without feeling like you are ruining an exclusive (the discontinued blue color), and you don’t get useless attachments, a $10 markup, and with a half-@$$ stock paintjob (the Modulus Stryfe).
I prefer the Newer Modulus Design. Not only do I prefer the cleaner look & it's colors, but like you said It's compatible with other Modulus products. I picked up the OJ Stryfe over a Year Ago, & wanted to get a Certain Modulus Stock, though it did not stick as well as I hoped, now It's screwed on.

Dude my Mom spent so much time trying to find a blue stryfe for me during Christmas that year when it first came out. I still have that stryfe and it is a favorite to this day.

Hows it goin Drac, I love your styrfe builds, i have a orange stryfe that i plan on building up, rn its running off 3 18650s in series and just rewired with 16 gauge speaker wire with stock switches
Ive also got a modulus im gonna build too, its running off 2 18650s in series and rewired with 16 gauge speaker wire and i used a cut down and modified switch from a drill for the rev switch

18650s can provide current for most Nerf motors, so whatever. I'm more worried about the stock switches.

The orange one has the best deco as far as the stripes are completely visible and the logos are fully colored. And to me the color matching doesn't matter as much because there will be at least some kind of color mis match no matter what. I actually have an orange one. I was stoked about the modulus one but side by side the orange one appeals to me best.
In Croatia, you can find an OJ Stryfe basically anywhere. Here Stryfes are nowhere near extinct, unlike America

as of 6/25/19, the modulus stryfe is the most popular right now, oj stryfe can be found for high prices, and elite stryfe is almost all gone

I like the oj as its full in orange with a little splosh of white and generally looks dope
Fun fact: in Russia blue and orange Stryfes appear frequently on the used market (I’m picking up my second blue one today, orange is on its way), plus you can buy orange ones brand new, I think, but no white ones, unfortunately.

camocat25 all though it's not as good as the stryfe it's definitely a good primary, though it'd be a better pistol you can't holster it very well.

Orange ones are still here in Poland, actually it's harder to get a second-hand blue one. I have yet to come by white one.
The price new is around 30-35$, used ones are stable at ~10$

Well I have the OJ and an OG (blue) already so would most likely get the Modulus (MO?) to complete the collection. I have split the shells of mine so I have two half and half (The Twins). But If I had to choose just one I totaly prefer the blue OG.

I say modulus version since I have more modulus accessories than anything else. although I am mainly a springer peasant since they tend to be the more reliable option among the majority of blasters, especially the front loading pistols and revolvers. definitely my go to sidearm when my primary goes down.

In the UK the oj strife still has the dart lock and the plastic bars to stop things getting stuck in the fly wheels
Didn't watch the whole thing yet but be aware the Modulous Stryfe needs to be rewired for anyone planning on using more than 6 round magazines. Larger magazines will cause the blaster to shut off due to a limiter if fired rapidly.
That makes no sense... The thermistor prevents you from running higher voltage batteries. If yours is shutting down due to rapid firing, you may have a dud.
Tim Houle all i know is I saw a few people using stock batteries and their blasters were shutting down.
wtf caniuse was mentioning mag size because the issue was stemming from rapid firing of many darts, where as the reloading between and size of the 6clips was a long enough delay to not cause the problem as opposed to rapidly firing, reloading and refiring 12+ mags

My big secret is that I've never owned a stryfe. I just wasn't into nerf when I bought a rapidstrike and then the hyperfire and regulator came out and I like full auto. So I don't own a stryfe.

I don't own a Stryfe either. I'm making my first Stryfe a big one, as it's gonna be my first ever Flywheel mod (full rewire, possibly Meishel motors). However, I don't recommend it to you if you prefer full auto.
I just got one of the Orange ones for Christmas. They were sold at a local Toys R Us, and $26.99 I think. It’s my first Stryfe and I’m already liking it more than any other Nerf blaster I’ve ever used or even held. And that’s saying a lot to the Alpha Trooper. And the Demolisher. I can’t wait to get cracking on custom painting and building a monster out of the stryfe. I might even get a few more for different builds and stuff.

I only have one Stryfe, and it’s the one that isn’t in this video. I never got my hands on a Stryfe, but a couple weeks ago I decided to pull the trigger and get a Stryfe, and the only one they had around me was the Battlecamo one (which looks awesome), so that’s the one I have

Funny enough, there was just 4 weeks ago a sale on blue Stryfes here (Germany that is) from a big retail chain, blowing out blue Stryfes for 12$ a piece. Even was a "double your darts" version. You can still get the OJ one pretty much everywhere here and seeing NIB blue ones at brick and mortar toy stores is no surprise.

Diamond Hollow Gamer 2.0 there is no tapping, maybe theres a problem on your end. If you are using bluetooth headphones they might be clipping to save power.

My OJ Stryfe has that dart lock and the weird dart flappers on the flywheels, not the rubber bit. I bought it right after the OJ Stryfe was released, so some of the early run OJ Stryfes had them too.

I used the stryfe until I got a demolisher. I prefer larger blasters, and I didn’t have the attachments to make it bigger, nor did I have the money to buy body kits. However, the concept of the stryfe is awesome and I love the flywheel system.

Just got in to the hobby with my 4 yo son (of course I had them as a kid, spingers) and picked up 2 Barricades and 2 Blue Stryfes off eBay for $40 + $20 shipping.
Got some worker fly wheels for the barricades and man those motors are much more powerful that the Stryfe's on the save Voltage.
Thermistors and dart locks already gone. Running IMRs for now and as my kid gets older we will move to lipos.
Just need an "Indoor" setting and an "outdoor" setting on FPS for these. My 4 yo is ruthless when it comes to tagging me at 3' range and a full 18 round mag of waffle darts :D
I would get the orange on as it brings back memories of me using it in nerf wars with my friends. I do have one already(its my first flywheeler i ever bought) and i really just like the color scheme and nostalgic feel to it.
