Special thanks again to @outofdarts and Nerf for sending this blaster out to me early! The NERF PRO STRYFE X is a blaster we almost gave up on ever coming out, but Hasbro has finally answered the call for more distance and better darts! Utilizing half-length Accustrike Pro, the Stryfe has been reborn as the STRYFE X, a lovingly upgraded version of the decade old blaster built up like a true hobbiest's Modded Stryfe. It really only has one major flaw... and that might absolutely blow it's chances of being your favorite.

Yes, it works with Talons. I must have edited out all three times I showed it off.
This was a lot of work in a very short amount of time, but I hope I did some justice. I only slept 4 hours and I filmed the ending part 4 different times...
Great content out of 4h of sleep
Great video, thanks for your work!
Amazing ❤
Please 🙏 do a reavu on the zuru x shot gel blasters
I cant wait to get this gun!
Coop would be proud
Ofc the moment he retires this drops
@@garchompdudeIkr it’s sad
I'm sure his mommy will buy it for xmas
I miss coop :(
It is sad he is retired. I would however love to see him do one last review with this blaster
I think the accuracy increase is due to the slightly higher weight of the AF darts
Might also have to do with the aerodynamic of the dart as well. The dart head isn’t just flat on the top like it is on the Accustrike dart, and it tapers off at an angle towards the sides of the dart instead of just being straight like the AS dart, plus the actual dart head itself is smaller than the head of the AS dart, making it more aerodynamic. What this means is that the dart has much less resistance traveling through the air, and thus it’s going to be less prone to wobbling around, which would decrease the accuracy. It seems like a simple dart at face value, but when u analyze it deeper, u start to see just how well engineered it truly is
In other words, those darts are more accurate for the same reason certain bullets are more accurate in reality…
Was always sad I was too late to Nerf to be able to just walk into the store and pick up a Stryfe. Really cool to see it back.
There's always second hand from ebay or thrift stores. I've found more than a few while thrifting.
good thing abt the stryfe is, they reprinted it a bunch of times. theres the orange one the elite blue, the battlecamo, modulus, and thats off the top of my head.
though, this one kinda completely outshines those unless all you want is something that shoots a projectile
There’s also a nerf gun called the storm charge and its basically a stryfe and it doesn’t suck like the rest of nerf elite 2.0
@@Mark-cy1jgspectrum is good too, but now basically nothing will come close to the stryfe x that's shoots 160 to 170 fps
Same, the ony Nerf guns i got before the pandemic (and me growing up and realizing Nerf isnt popular in my country) were a special Retaliator that came with 2 25r drums, a Strongarm(my favorite) the Firestrike, which now has a screwed up air restricter, a quadrant which is half broken, and the Mediator.
It really doesnt help the fact that Nerf is more expensive now and the Walmarts here dont have Dartzone blasters for some reason.
I agree, bossman. Hasbro had the opportunity to raise the bar, but chose to limbo under it instead. They elected to release a blaster with fewer bells, whistles, and accessories at a price point about 50% higher than a comparable blaster (100% higher in the case of the Mk. 3). I hope they can innovate some more in this line and this space, but this isn't the best start for them.
To be fair tho, the first blasters in basically every lineup is mediocre at best. Then they hit a peak about 3-4 years after that first lineup, if it manages to make it that long
@@ricedbroccoli but its a stryfe................... e vryone has a modded stryfe already
@@user-nv1gm2zj7y I mean not to say the X is useless but it’s a little bit late to its own party if you know what I mean
I mean, the first blaster in a line is always kinda lame. Obviously there will be more variety once its not like, the only blaster in its line lol
Currently it is higher than a mark 3, but back then when the mark 3 came out for 130 dollars, the Stryfe X would have surpassed it in terms of everything.
I can't remember the last time you reviewed a Nerf product and had such a huge smile your face in the video. It is good to see!
Uhh... Double punch probably, not that long ago. Also really liked the Raid!
@@ianthevoidturtle6028 It's already shot, I just have to edit it and... I'm not sure if I will.
they did a stryfe as the first blaster cause its a blaster everyone in the modding scene has modded at least once. doing it with this blaster profile is genius as everyone in their grandmothers knows what a stryfe is, only making hasbro more money to make more in the line, either updating older blasters, or creating entirely new blasters. if they do make more where they update older blasters, id love to see the alpha trooper, rapid strike, raven, rough cut, or maybe even the hammer shot.
Pro rough-cut? That would be cool
This will never happen but a pro sledge fire would be dope!
They have no plans to release any springers, at least not with Accustrike darts as they said it’d cause too much barrel drag or something to that effect. Why almost everything released under the original line is a springer by that logic, I can’t say.
I should note, that was explicitly stated by one of the higher ups in an interview with the Verge, it’s not me just assuming that.
Yeah, when I was a kid I used to think flywheels blaster where a flop, I have the rayvenfire cs 18 and it is cool looking but have bad performance, the rapidstrike also wasn't very performing and I was a bit upset because my friends had only springer blaster which are obviusly better.
So I think that if hasbro will do this kind of "reboot" it would be a nice thing
They definitely did this on purpose
To those who say why buy this when the Omnia exists, the Stryfe X's biggest strength is what Luke called the Holy Grail of Nerf mods
Props to Nerf for actually creating a hobby blaster for those just trying out on hobby flywheelers
I miss coop. Every nerf content vid i see i think of him
"Starting out at the front. There's no N-Strike Barrel lug?!!? On a STRYFE?!!?!?"
-Coop772, probably.
And of course, nerf released this after coop retired
I agree with Walcom. I would have payed $80 for this but it’s not worth the price. I’m glad Nerf is finally making pro blasters and I hope bigger and better things come from them in the future. For now it’s still Dartzone and the Omnia for me.
A half-dart Alpha trooper would be sick. I wonder what other blasters they plan on releasing
Maybe a longshot lol
@@Thai.H that would be an interesting sight
They said no springers are currently in development unfortunately
@@fatshpee7174 They can say anything they want and we would never know what's actually happening behind the scene. For all we know, they could have a rough prototype done already and just waiting for a green light from upper management. They're not gonna announce something only for the top brass to suddenly cancel it when the Stryfe X's sales didn't meet their expectations. That would only piss off the consumers.
Anything, as long as you buy it for twice the money it's actually worth
As much as I'd love innovation in the pro line, I'd definitely be down if the first few Pro blasters were upgrades of their most beloved blasters, lie the Alpha Trooper X and the Rapidstrike X
Rapidstrike x would be cool af
Kinda want to see an pro level rapid strike from hasbro
rapidPistol X Pro maybe?
@@Windle_Poons that would be awesome
I am missing the classic "starting up from the front N-strike barrel lug so you can attach all your tacti-cool nonsense" already. RIP Coop772
The strife X might not be as cheap as the omnia but I have seen a lot of hobbie grade blasters that are more overpriced. Out of the box without a paint job it looks super good, and it is nice to have variety. I am a fan of it being simple, refined and reliable. I see this baster bringing a lot of new people into the hobby. Plus it is not a target exclusive, so it will be easier for a lot of people to get a strife X.
From your 10 Shots with the NERF Accu-Strike Pro Darts, you're hitting an average of 165.5 FPS. That's really damn good.
Some thoughts
-the fact that it’s a stryfe is VERY cool and I hope to see an X Longshot, X Alpha Trooper, etc.
-not making the half darts elite colored makes me sad but it’s a good accustrike throwback still
-USB C BAYBEE
-the Omnia is cheaper
THIS is what Elite 2.0 should have been. This is super sick, I hope they make more, and Hasbro has regained my respect
In my experience testing accustrikes and cutting them down to half length, they dont do as well as if they were full length. They also dont seem to like higher FPS and sometimes end up pulling elite dart shenanigans.
That stryfe spin at the beginning tho 🥶 🥶 🥶
“And I do mean *physically* massive.” Lol we love you walrus man 😊
Cannot wait to get my hands on this one!
Definitely agree on what you said about the price. Needed a select fire kit to really put it close to that price.
Yes! I love how it's more powerful than it says, right out of the box. Needless to say, I pre-ordered a couple already. Coop would be proud.
And no more Roblox blasters, please. Thank you, Hasbro. lol
I want more roblox blasters but not like new blasters mad from scratch but like og gear from roblox like the classic sword or the laser gun
There's another roblox blaster coming. A space raygun.
Sorry.
A half dart alpha trooper with improved mod potential would be a dream. And a Hammershot with a switchable cylinder similar to the adventure force Villainator would be absolutely sick
A hammershot is a maybe, but an alpha trooper is a No bcs those blasters are for nerfball
One of the higher ups explicitly said they have no plans to release any springers under this line in an interview with The Verge, at least none that will use Accustrike darts because of barrel drag. Why they said that when almost all the blasters from the original line were springers i don’t know, but my best guess is they didn’t use sealed breaches like you’d need to hit this level of performance in a springer.
@@her0z217 Oh welp just limitations I guess. But if this means this line is only going to have flywheelers, their might be more focus on making these battery packs standardized.
"And I do mean physically massive" lmao loved that one
It may not be for everyone but I know that I'm absolutely the target audience for the Stryfe X, because I'm an outdoor player who loves flywheelers but doesn't like to mod and really doesn't want to deal with all the safety requirements of hobby grade LiPo packs; so I've just been contenting myself with a Dart Zone Pro MK-3 running on Eneloop rechargable AAs. For me getting a pro performance Stryfe reimagining running a truly safe and consumer friendly 3S LiPo pack is a HUGE win and well worth the high price tag! My only real complaint is the new rail system that no accessories currently exist for, but I'm sure the fine folks over at Out of Darts will be whipping up picatinny rail converter adapters for it in the not too distant future ^_^
I really like that they also made it in Gear Up color scheme. Nice vid Walcom!
Gear up is black and orange. This is a dark grey and orange.
@@WalcomS7 fair point. Then I'll say "Gear Up Inspired" lol
Worker is gonna have a fun time with this one
0:36 bros face 😂😂
Dope review! 💯
Absolutely nothing against you walcom but I’m very sad not to see coop make a reveiw on this 😢 especially because the stryfe was his favorite
now I wish Coop waited just a bit longer to leave, would have liked to see his reaction to this
The *PURE GUNDANIUM* comment made my day, thanks for being awesome as always Walcom!
if only coop was still here, also awesome blaster dude bros
Yo dude, this is awesome. I really like your new editing style, keep it up! 👍
Lookin good big Dawg!!
i love you Walcom your videos always bring a smile to my face, stay golden
12:16 🤣🤣🤣 probably it's dangioum but i get it, it a common mistake 😂
Thank you Hasbro 🙏
Coop would be proud (pt.2)
Love this review!
just ordered the omnia , no regrets 👍😁
I really think the proprietary battery, while super useful to those new to the hobby, severely limits this blaster to those already in it. Even if it goes on sale, I can’t undervolt it to bring it to HvZ, which is really all I’d use this for. Yes, that’s not the target audience, but it prevents it from having a wider audience where FPS limits are in place. I have a modded Rapidstrike that does something to the tune of 150+ on a 3S and 125ish on a 2S, and even with the battery and charger included I spent less overall on that blaster than I would on this, just for this to have less use cases without modification, at which point I’d be better off modifying a regular Stryfe. Plus, I can’t imagine that battery is remotely waterproof, while you could seal up a battery bay in any other blaster to make it relatively safe to use in light rain (not that it would be a good idea, but here in Florida, you never know when the rain will come and go). Beyond that, while Zuru and Dart Zone have embraced the modding community, while Hasbro explicitly said in an article by The Verge they still don’t support modification of their blasters, along with a few other anti-hobby things (imo) which for something targeted at hobbyists, seems like a great way to bite the hand that feeds.
I understand some people don’t like the solenoid lag and size of the Omnia Pro, but to that end the Worker Nightingale provides an even smaller size, probably better build quality, and all while still being mechanically semi (or electronically full, should you choose that) auto and cheaper (assuming you have a battery/charger, though when I got mine I had none and still spent the same amount as this costs). Yes, it doesn’t hit 160FPS, but with how stupidly accurate that thing is, I don’t know that you need the extra 40. Granted, I’m not playing in competitive games, but I was explicitly recommended the Nightingale by several members of a competitive team (ORCA) and I can’t say I’ve ever been happier with a blaster purchase.
Overall, this just seems like a massive blunder by Hasbro when you put it all together. As you said, if this were $60, it would blow nearly everything else out of the water, but it isn’t.
But I feel like that the reason the price is so high is due to it being the first of its kinda and if we want more we’re going to need to buy it so Nerf sees it as something worth keeping around, but that’s my opinion.
I'll be buying just for this reason
Nerf Priced it so high because they are *thee* dart blaster brand entering the high performance sphere and they know people will buy it just for that reason.
yeah that's kind of what they did with the ultra 1 and the centurion and all those other kind of flagship first release blasters so that makes sense
they priced it so huigh because they know you guys will do mental gymnastics to justify such an absurd price...
Yeeees hasbro is back in business
Cant wait for the rapidstrike pro
If nothing else this is a step in the right direction for Hasbro. Thanks for the video.
Can’t wait for the Vulcan Pro
do talon mags and other short mags fit?
5 years ago when I largely exited this hobby, I never thought Nerf would do anything like this and try to tap into the hobbiest market.
totally off topic, but can I just say I love that you used music from gunz the duel.
This is a sign that Coop is going to come back
YO that is insane!!!!
Sitting at blaster battle during the No feet round watching this is a new level of Nerf nerd
Big question. Is the flywheel cage brush or brushless, and can the flywheel cage be replaced to suit personal preference?
NERF IS FINALLY GOING PRO!😊
🎉🎉
2:39 walcom became coop
God I hope they make a springer. I would love to see a longstrike X or an Alpha Trooper X.
Good work on the video, thanks for the literal in depth details. Now get some sleep!
SICK VID!!!
Rapidstrike X and Alpha trooper X would be an awesome lineup
Best intro of 2023
We need coop back now!
That GunZ lobby theme thooo
I feel like I’m gonna just wake up at some point and be like “hah ofc nerf would never make somthing like this. What a weird dream”
They did it for Coop he would be so proud
i wonder if there will be more pro version of nerf products, or even original pro products
Walcom made a whole movie trailer for this. I love it!
Does it actually take Talon magazines? You said mag geometry was 'similar' to a Talon, but I'm curious if it will accept one out of the box without mods.
Do I not put a Talon mag in it in the video? I shot a... lot of footage for this review, there was at least 3 points I did that but I'm not sure what made the edits because I was in such a hurry.
im actually proud of hasbro for one time
As someone who has a small love for circuit boards, most of what was on that board are capacitors, a microcontroller and volt regulator, all to signify the charge levels, keep the gun at a constant RPM, and to over volting as well as under volting.
That’s your best shirt yet.
Thanks for the review, I want to see someone test the MDM with the Stryfe X. I agree the price is a little high but it is Hasbro and they have to make money on the project. I'm considering getting one just for that reason and to justify the creation of the Pro Line. I want a Nerf Pro Rayven X so bad.
Love your shirt
Me if I was reviewing it: “N- no
N-strike barrel lug.”
*Starts crying in Jolt*
The magic is that circuit board. It's what allows you to just plug in that usb c and let it charge without worrying about over charging, over discharging, and other lipo storage issues.
i cant beleive its taken this long for nerf to finally release a pro level blaster
Hasbro took everything the worker did and put it on the stryfe too... Yes!!!!
Now on to wait for this same gun with N strike barrel option
The zombies are shaking right now
OMG this man MADE A THIRST TRAP FOR A NERF GUN! And I love it
I hope they make a rapidstrike version as well. 🙏
ohoho you took it apart! SWEET!!! Oh wow, the only flaw is the price? That's the best thing it could have been! Can't wait to get one on sale!
Coop must return!
Honey wake up, WalcomS7 just posted a new video
I wander if the insides are the same as the og stryfe if so, could you put a n-strike lug on if from a old one?
Sup nice vid❤
hi walcom
This is cool
Holy Sh*t, the future is now!
This has one unique usecase, as a flywheel sidearm which does require a battery that requires attention and care
you should mount it to a stand and measure group diameter to test the accuracy
imagine if coop was here for this
Okay the Freddy Time intro music suddenly cutting out is fucking hilarious, holy shit XD
This blasters is gonna be absolute amazing. Can’t wait to get one walcom. If there’s a Nerf pro world championship, I’m going to participate and I’m gonna win.
0:49😂😂😂😂nice little joke
Yeah you could say just go buy a mk3. but you have to agree this is going to get so many people in to the Hobby. that’s why it’s so cool.
I'm calling it now, Freddy is going to start talking soon 😂
Feels weird to see Hasbro actually using the proper term for magazines.
I would love it if they gave this treatment to blasters that are hard to mod like the infinus or regulator
