I still have that vase and just used it for the first time, with real followers, yesterday. Take a look! instagram.com/p/BW0SizTFapU/?taken-by=diynoneedtocry
Thank you, it's now sitting on the range hood in my kitchen with the matching bottles. I really need to make a flower arrangement for it. Do you craft?
loved this! I've never decoupaged, so I was looking for how it's done. So many other people use all these expensive materials, I have what you used . Now I'm gonna go and try it🙄 wish me luck lol ☺
Thank you and that's awesome! I'm so glad my video was able to inspire you and that you have all the materials, it will come out great! Just take your time and let it fully dry between each step. Tip, if you set it in front of a fan it dries faster. If you run into any problems, please feel free to ask me any questions and i'll be more then happy to help. When your done please tag me on any of my social media sites so I can see it. I love looking at everyones work. :) All my links are at the bottom of the description box. :)
Your video is the only one I found with this project, Im getting married next September and want talavera vases with flowers as centerpieces but talavera can get pricey, thank you so much for sharing this, Im going to try this!
You are so talented. And the color schemes and patterns you come up with, awesome!!! The way you cut those napkin and tissue patterns and reassemble them into new patterns blows my mind. So cool! Thanks for all your hard work, and the videos are really easy to watch! Love them all so far! :)
Hi.. I love your projects.. They are all so amazing, I just can't help watching them every day.. I would like to know do sell them and how much... thank you.. I look forward to more of your videos...
Aww Thank you!! Unfortunately, there is a lot that goes into selling these and I'm not able to do so at the moment. Maybe in the future, if and when I do I'll let everyone know. Thank you so much!! :)
I LOVE your bottles and vase. I too am a perfectionist and it drives me crazy to have the slightest bit of wrinkles. HELP! I took a suggestion and used Saran Wrap to smooth out but I dunno what I’m doing wrong. Maybe it’s the amount of mod podge? Maybe too much or too little? Congratulations on your sobriety. Your amazing. This year I have been fighting lung cancer. Crafting helps to take my mind off of it and relax. Ty for your video.
Hi Machelle, I'm sorry to hear that you are going through that. Keep fighting and I will keep you in my prayers. Thank you, I'm so happy you are enjoying my video's and you are correct about how much glue to use. I found that the trick is not to use a lot under the napkin. When you use the plastic wrap, you have to have the right amount of pressure. It's a learning curve. Too much pressure will destroy the napkin, to little won't have that much of an effect. Also, make sure you are doing this before giving it the top coat of glue and if you get glue on the plastic wrap... grab another piece because it will rip the napkin. Finally, when covering it with more Mod Podge, use a small brush and don't load it with to much glue either. Use small amounts, spread it and then crab more glue when you need to and continue until you have sealed the whole thing. I was just a beginner on TH-cam and the whole decoupage thing when I made this video but I will try and make a new one explaining what I learned soon. I hope that was helpful and please let me know if it works for you or you have any more questions. Thanks again and God bless you XOXOX :)
Hi I am inspired to do decoupage as a hobby and so far i have tried a couple of projects.I found that my napkins tear badly when applying glue over them as they are so wet from initial sticking as well. What could i be doing wrong? Should i let napkin dry after sticking on before applying next coat of glue. Thanks in advance and lovely work you do.They look great in your kitchen! x
Hello, try using less glue under it and spread it out as evenly as you can. Use a dry brush with only glue when doing this. Some people wait until it dries before putting the top layer so, yeah you could give that a try. Hope that it works for you and don't give up. It's tricky at first but you'll get the hang of it. Thank you! :)
You can't be scared, Charlie. "To live a creative life we must lose the fear of being wrong" - Joseph Chilton Pearce Art is subject and no matter if you think you made the most amazing thing in the world, someone is going to hate it. I have people tell me that don't like my work, luckily I have wonderful subbies and they tell me in a nice way LOL, and that's okay because not everyone has the same taste... that would be boring. So go buy some napkins and a jar, vase or wine bottle and get to creating! Whatever you come up with will be beautiful because you made it and if you don't like it, practice, practice, practice until you get it the way you want it! :)
I've never tried this but I've been told it doesn't work but that's not to say it can't. I'm just telling you what I've heard. If you try it, please let me know how it goes. 🙂
Not even a whole one. Those tubes are small but they last for a lot of projects. I used that same tube for my Marilyn Monroe bottle, the DIY Glass Vase Die With Food Coloring & Mod Podge, this vase and I still had a little left over lol 🤗
Hello Jose, I have never tried that but I have herd of people using other glues to decoupage. Google " Can I use tacky glue to decoupage" and you'll see some things people have to say about it. :)
ok, thank you, i loved the vase, just tried it with colored coffee felters to see it i did right. i never get the perfect glue mixture, its always to watery so idk how much water or glue to use, but hopefully i did it right, thanks for the video :)
Hola hermosa, sí, este fue uno de mis primeros videos en mi canal. ¡Estaba aprendiendo a editar LOL! Todavía tengo ese jarrón. Está en la mesa de mi cocina. Espero que a ti y a tus hijas les vaya bien. ¡Dios bendiga!🙏🤗💕
Hello, I apologize for the lack of explanation in this video. It was one of the first videos I had ever made and didn't really know what I was doing yet... heck, who am I kidding, I still don't know what I'm doing LOL!! No, but all jokes aside... this napkin came with that design already together like you see on the vase. I only cut them out to make it easier to decoupage onto the vase. They already lined up on their own. I just had to stick them in the right spots. I hope that was somewhat helpful and Thank you! :)

Maravilha!! Pena que aqui no Brasil não encontro esses papéis lindíssimos!
Obrigado, mas você pode entrar on-line e google "guardanapo de papel damasco preto" Tenho certeza de que você poderá encontrar algum.
I love this. I so want to try my hand at doing this, but I'm a little scared to do it for fear that it will turn out looking stupid. :(

Is it okay to spray paint vase white?

hermoso me encanto
Muchas gracias! :)
so pretty. . can you wash it?
Thank you and no, none of this is water resistant. It's just for decoration. Unless you seal it with a waterproof finish. :)
how many tubes of the liquid pearl did you wind up using? Beautiful job!
