Introduced SSB, Golden Frieza, Jaco and the Galactic Patrol, Roshi's comeback, Goku and Vegeta training with Whis, Whis's rewind ability, and plenty of other stuff. But the combat was trash, the laser was mickey as hell, and the robbing of Vegeta was irritating and a bad decision. That's more or less the way I see it.
Remember: "Go toe to toe with" does NOT mean "you could beat". Talking about the ice cream. Bulma could easily put it in a capsule freezer and then whip it out whenever she wants. 24:03 That's because you're silly. Their bodies aren't actually stronger than planets. It's all about Ki. Something that has been well established for decades.
The craziest thing is that even back in Dragon Ball Online, they were still trying to bring back Freeza Also in the manga, Freeza didn’t just bomb random henchmen on a whim. Definitely did threaten death though, for the most part anyways
The movie was much better than what the anime did. I think that's what left the worst taste in everybody's mouth. I also understand disliking the reveal of Blue before we even saw God ki, but idrc which form they use when they fight. Blue looks cool to me the way I've seen it and the show is also inconsistent. Both can be true. I don't think it looks weak for not really ever getting a true win. It fought a kai that wished for immortality. They wrote themselves in a box with that one. I also think I just saw Resurrection F on a streaming site and watched that first. I think I saw Battle of Gods like 6 years after that. I only saw god form like 8 years after it was made or something. Lol Dragonball was not promoted to me until I saw some youtubers talking about Super and made it sound like weekly episodes so I finally looked it up. I never once saw an ad for anything dragonball after Z. Well I heard of GT but didn't even watch idk why. I think I only heard it was bad and got into sports. Anyway, that's probably the only reason I don't care about blue here. I just don't care about form respect. They need to respect base power really.
Frieza knew about majin buu *before* he was released, as he says king cold warned him about it. Besides, Frieza never saw fat buu outside of a filler episode
When I watched this and the next tournament arc, I always thought that if we really went with the idea that Vegeta didn't finish the job in time, and the Earth got destroyed, it'd serve as a decent introduction to the tournament arc, as it'd actually give the U7 fighters some kind of motivation to fight, as they'd need the Super Dragon Balls to bring the Earth back, and face off against Frieza sometime at a later point. I felt like there was some kind of decent idea going for a transition between the arcs, but probably because Super wasn't quite a thing yet after the movie came out, they put out this anticlimatic ending so that they don't leave it on a cliffhanger... ...or they could've just edited that part, since they were adding or changing elements of the story or fights in the anime anyway, but they didn't even do that.
I think one moment that the anime does in terms of comedy is "post training" with whis, where where after goku and vegeta ate all of the pizzas, vegeta says "it was your ass that sent us there." And beerus says "my ass? You dare speak or a destroyers ass?!?!"
I like Cell more and you can like Frieza he is cool too but the problem is that Cell never got his git back when Frieza got it 3 separate times. ReF Broly and ofcourse Manga.
Considering frieza wasn't training for so many years and basic super saiyan beat him last time... im confused as to how they needed supersaiyan blue because of a random newpower up thyat was instantly 😂
One thing that I feel like the writers of this movie completely forgot when it came to Piccolo and Gohan is the fact that Piccolo literally has a move called clothes beam. He could have gave this man Gohan clothes.
To be fair when I think about it. It is not a bad movie, it has questionable moments but not something horrific like MF Bio Broly. Since Freeza is my favorite DB villain of all time I did like this movie. It was not an S tier but defiantly fun to watch.
There's absolutely legitimate criticism for the movie but it's wild anyone would ever consider it one of the worst in the franchise imo, so many of them are so bad as non-canon. I suppose you could argue specifically to it being connected-but-different in Super but even still I never felt it was that bad?
What I would like with the random power scaling is to have Tien have an arc where he is the winner. And not just by default. The tri beam should be able to handle anybody. I would also like some new form for human characters. You have countless aliens and a dog as president. I think it's within the realm of possibility to make a x50 super human multiplier.
Unpopular take: Vegeta should never get to kill Freeza. Freeza is Goku’s thematic OPP. I say make a new villain that is like Saiyan or Namek saga Vegeta tactically or ideologically, but Vegeta defeats him, validating his new worldview. Revenge is regressive for Vegeta and overall contradicts his path of Ultra Ego.
Besides the fact that revenge would honestly help close off his journey to repentence, but this ending was so forced that even if you argue that this was the reason, the way its done is so contrived. It would be a lot better if Vegeta went in and fought Frieza first, he gets knocked out *by Frieza* and then Goku comes in for the finisher. It gets rid of the contrived time reversal bs that without a doubt only came about because they rushed the ending
@@arkkon2740 I do agree that while time reversal is a cool feat, Really does not do this movie any favors. Completely remove the stakes. Your idea is better.
Goku vs Frieza first fight in this movie feels like one of those TH-cam polls that be like "X (End of X arc) vs X (End of X arc) cause Goku base should be way stronger then Frieza final form at this point.
Gohan is better in GT than in the first half of super, I hated seeing him in the green track suit and looking like a toothpick the first time I saw this "Z" movie, Gohan in the history of trunks or from GT is what we should have gotten and in my opinion super is just another alternate timeline, there are like 10 different timelines in Dragonball 😂😂😂
TLDR: Goku does something → 2 min glaze. Anyone else does something → tangent dunking on said character. God, I watched this just because I knew he was going to dunk on the animation, but couldn't because 50% is Goku blinking and Sage glazing Goku, and the other half is other characters blinking and him being like "this is why Goku is so much better.
At least in this movie version, Gohan didn't have to look like a complete ass just for Kakarot to arrive on the battlefield. (Complete being the operative word)
Look... Great Ape Vegeta, which 10x his normal strength and enhanced hearing enough to evade a Destructo Disc from behind, got snuck by Yajirobe. Vegeta again gets snuck by Yajirobe after the Explosive Wave when, even in his battered state, should still be whooping him. Kami-Fused Piccolo got caught offguard by Cell's Kamehameha and ended up losing an arm to his Life Drain, which probably could've ended worse if he hadn't clutch repositioned himself to hit the arm instead of his chest. There's probably other examples of people getting messed up from getting hit offguard. So Goku getting snuck by Sorbet from offscreen makes sense. It makes Goku look uncharacteristically stupid for dropping his guard THAT much around a massively powered up Frieza knowing he's the kind of guy to try some dirty shit when he's losing, but it makes sense. Goku takes his L, realizes where he screwed up, hopefully learns his lesson down the road, and Vegeta gets his moment to unveil his Blue form, and beat the dogshit outta Frieza, the man who enslaved and nearly exterminated his race as well as humiliated him back on Namek... So let's have Vegeta make the same mistake of getting cocky and not confirming the kill after chastising Goku for what happened to him, allowing Frieza to blow up Earth and taking everyone that Whis didn't save along with him, assuming that even killed him since he survived Namek's destruction in a worse state. THAT'S where things get stupid, and honestly starts feeling like Toriyama just has it out for Vegeta. This is SUCH a forced way to let Goku have the kill instead of just letting him kill the first chance he had or letting him take an L so Vegeta can get a WELL-deserved W.
You know, Blue gets a lot of hate but if you think about it it was meant to show that if Goku and Vegeta worked together they could surpass the power of the gods.
Well actually I want to know why the pokemon bit came about as I started watching you with the DBZ movies and it's been constant but unexplained. As for Gohan can I get future Gohan rather than this mess?
My issue with this film is that it set the precedent for Frieza’s random ass nigh infinite potential that just so happens to make him as strong as the plot demands him to be at any given moment. Tell me now what you think Frieza is doing now in the dbs manga and why isn’t he in the ‘not hyperbolic time chamber’ straight up abusing his latent potential. Like with his new Black Frieza form whats to stop him from achieving Diamond Frieza, Platinum Frieza, whatever else?
While i like the movie, my 3 issues with this movie: We arent told what the method freiza used to train, we know in later things that take place after this movie, he found a hyperbolic time chamber on another planet, i think it would be better if they reveal he found it here. Goku should have tried using god, then shifted to blue as he started getting his ass beat. It feels like blue was an asspull the way the movie showed it. Gohan lacking in his training so much and a huge power drop. I would get him being rusty and not being able to access potential unleashed, but this loss in power is too much. Sure it wouldnt have changed much but he should have been either the 2nd or strongest fighter there depending on how strong piccolo is.

It's contributed more good things to DBS than the bad that it's done, but it's also done bad regardless.
That's more or less the way I see it.
they are both bad
I love Krillin and 18's relationship so much 😭
20:46 “Oh Bulma, what is this sweet white substance?” 💀💀💀
Can’t wait for TSO to rewatch Dragon Ball Evolution
20:30 bro, Bulma can have a whole house in those capsules. Broly gets one of those with electricity and water 👀
Sage my man you know you're doing something right when I am over here laughing throughout all your videos
That is when you know you're fantastic
Remember: "Go toe to toe with" does NOT mean "you could beat".
Talking about the ice cream. Bulma could easily put it in a capsule freezer and then whip it out whenever she wants.
24:03 That's because you're silly. Their bodies aren't actually stronger than planets. It's all about Ki. Something that has been well established for decades.
The craziest thing is that even back in Dragon Ball Online, they were still trying to bring back Freeza
Also in the manga, Freeza didn’t just bomb random henchmen on a whim.
These random shots at gohan are my favorite part of the episode😭
How tf do they know about majin buu if one of their wishes was to all peope to remember him only as mr.buu
Frieza knew about majin buu *before* he was released, as he says king cold warned him about it. Besides, Frieza never saw fat buu outside of a filler episode
That Rhea music started cookin low key lmao
Bro killing me with the Pokémon breakdowns 😂
Vegeta killing Goku at any point past Namek literally would annihilate the series’ narrative
I think one moment that the anime does in terms of comedy is "post training" with whis, where where after goku and vegeta ate all of the pizzas, vegeta says "it was your ass that sent us there." And beerus says "my ass? You dare speak or a destroyers ass?!?!"
Super Saiyan blue just came out of no where it just popped up but they should have had super Saiyan god for some time of the series
I always thought of the punch that Frieza gives to Gohan as payback for that scene in Fusion Reborn 😅😂
I never knew we are was the ring tone.
6;38 YOU KNOW WHAT MAKES THIS RINGTONE OF KRILLIN EVEN MORE INSANE.
In the japanese dub krillin and luffy share the same voice character.
That "all hail vegeta, prince of no one" Is disrespectful af 😂😂😂
To be fair when I think about it. It is not a bad movie, it has questionable moments but not something horrific like MF Bio Broly. Since Freeza is my favorite DB villain of all time I did like this movie. It was not an S tier but defiantly fun to watch.
The beat bit about this movie was seeing the Z fighters style on Freezas men.
More like what happened in the Moro arc. Give the fodder some fodder of their own to deal with until the big bois gotta step in.
This is not the worst dragon ball movie I can name so many this is one of the best ones
Cap
Frieza put his energy in sorbeis gun so thats why it had enough speed and power to take out goku after a vital hit
How many excuses are people trying to make for this
Thats not even how ki works cause it just removes the need for guns and stuff
That's the theory I came up with, too!
Aside from the CGI i love the animation style and quality in this movie
There's absolutely legitimate criticism for the movie but it's wild anyone would ever consider it one of the worst in the franchise imo, so many of them are so bad as non-canon. I suppose you could argue specifically to it being connected-but-different in Super but even still I never felt it was that bad?
I mean honestly....Akira Toriyama didn't want to draw another elaborate transformation lol. So he went with a simple design of Blue hair haha
the one piece reference was peak
I’m my opinion they should have shown super sayin blue in the black goku arc and just used super sayin god in resurrection F
1:13 why’d you stop that shit was gas
Goku vs Frieza first fight in this movie feels like one of those TH-cam polls that be like "X (End of X arc) vs X (End of X arc) cause Goku base should be way stronger then Frieza final form at this point.
Gohan is better in GT than in the first half of super, I hated seeing him in the green track suit and looking like a toothpick the first time I saw this "Z" movie, Gohan in the history of trunks or from GT is what we should have gotten and in my opinion super is just another alternate timeline, there are like 10 different timelines in Dragonball 😂😂😂
This feels like the Kakarot we could've gotten for the entirety of Super, instead we got a dumbass as Dad puts it
TLDR: Goku does something → 2 min glaze.
(Complete being the operative word)
if bro thinks this the worst dragon ball movie PLEASE DONT WATCH biobroly 😭😭💀
7:47 He trains when they are asleep.
"Watching The Resurrection F Movie To See If It’s Really The Worst" = "33 minutes of gohan hating"
Ngl It was hard watching this 😂😂😂
6:19 Talent recognizes talent and Oda looked pretty familiar to Toriyama.
Krillan knows peak having the og one piece opening as his ring tone
Saying "endure" is insanity. Yall gotta stop acting like shit is bad just because it's not the best in the series.
Why tf would he not let Vegeta get the win😭,nah Vegeta still cooked, Frieza,im counting this as a Vegeta dub
While i like the movie, my 3 issues with this movie:
We arent told what the method freiza used to train, we know in later things that take place after this movie, he found a hyperbolic time chamber on another planet, i think it would be better if they reveal he found it here.
I think that was the most agreeable thumbnail you’ve done thus far.
Torn between D & F? E tier it is.
Goku would get a statue for dying because that’s all he’s good for 💀
Dog not krillin with the op ringtone… the one piece fans ain’t gonna let us sleep over this one
12:48 that was a really good piccolo..
20:35 sage talking about how the ice cream not mealted? Dog... she made a time machine. Wrong thing to nitpick if anything
ironic cuz im half trolling but you chose ICE CREAM as the one thing to comment about 😂
This movie only existed to sell toys and give frieza glazers some talking points
Gohan built like a univrse 6 Saiyan
Does sage cover wrestling as well? If so where can I watch?
Goku: dies from laser blast
Vegeta: dies from planet exploding
Vegeta 1, Goku 0
Can we rewatch "Dead Zone" and "Worlds strongest" back when the Martial Arts mattered?
Tbh I still call it Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan since its the original name.
Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is basically Super Saiyan God in the form of a Super Saiyan
Super Saiyan Blue is Super Saiyan fused with God Ki
TSO Sage the biggest Goku glazer lmao
so i might be the only one to say this but hot take: goku could’ve beat frieza in regular god form in this fight. turning blue was just showing off😂goku went toe to toe w beerus in ssg mode ion think he really needed blue this movie😂😂
this movie being the one to have regular super saiyan God defeat a villain would have been so dope but they wanted to sell more merchandise. blue should have came when goku fought hit or goku black said he killed chi chi and goten and been more important throughout Super until the TOP with UI. blue bece glorified super saiyan 1 and was basically useless
EVERYBODY SING HEEEEYYY OOHH HERE COMES A DANGER UP IN THIS CLUB
People in the chat saying vegeta doesn’t like goku is crazy considering they canonically JUST FIST BUMPED IN THE BUU SAGA LIKE 5 YEARS AGO😂and like vegeta wasnt showin his ass for earth when beerus showed up💀😂
31:14 Pretty sure as long as Beerus is the one who gives the command from whis he may do it.
goku probably has 6 paths sage mode level senses, but sure, sorbet can catch him off guard 🙄
20:46 Whis, was that a question or a suggestive observation?
