My problem with Cell saga Vegeta is that the flaw(s) that he had were too bloated for his character. I do agree that characters having flaws is really beneficial to their overall design. The main issue with that however is that the flaws have to be understandable given their circumstances. Super Goku is a perfect example of how this concept both positively and negatively impacts characters. Goku in Super is much more chill, eager to fight, and fun guy. Which makes sense given the prolonged peace and his continued beliefs of seeing the better in even evil people as well as the fact that he's getting older and will eventually be out of his prime. If this was all that was changed going into Super then Super Goku could debatably be even better than Z Goku, but we all know that Goku doesn't just become more energetic and optimistic, but also a crayon eater. Most people would agree with me when I argue that Goku shouldn't have became as dumb as he was in Super because he just wasn't in Z and regardless of how carefree he might have justifiably became you can't say that it makes just as much sense for him to become more dumb. Even if it did provide more funny and relatable moments it doesn't match up with his character. This makes it harder to fall under the illusion of Goku's character as an actual person that can be understood as his actions and personality are clearly being manipulated to better serve content that Goku's actual character doesn't perfectly fit into. Now that the tangent is over we can get back to the main topic being Cell saga Vegeta. Him letting Cell go after 18 to achieve his perfect form is one thing, but then actively helping him by fighting Trunks is much more stupid. I will agree at first this moment isn't the worst for Vegeta as it makes sense given his saiyan pride to be arrogant like he was especially after becoming temporarily stronger than Goku. The problem is that Vegeta became too arrogant for character to be considered a flaw in their personality, but more so a writing flaw. You praised Vegeta in the Namek saga for being strategic enough to not make extremely stupid decisions and still being arrogant at the same time, leaving Vegeta wiggle room for arrogant actions to fall under a personality flaw umbrella. The arrogance Vegeta displays against Cell is out of this world however in comparison to the max he should be. He let the being that was much stronger than the androids that wiped out all of the z fighters except Goku in the alternate timeline go after another android after he just got significantly stronger by eating just one of them as well as actively fighting his son who knows how dangerous that is instead of just letting Cell go risking both his wife and son(s)' lives. When you compare this to how he treated Ginyu in res f, Guldo, and Frieza, Goku Black(granted he did explain the whole rage concept), Beerus, Buu, Frost, Cabba, Jiren, and Toppo he was way too over confident with Cell and went out of character making him seem even worse in his worst arc in z.
Hot take Frieza would have never been able to become immortal because of his drive to do everything by himself he would have never learned the password and he is too racist to learn to namekian, also he would've killed them all.

16:05-16:43 sage Literally talked about this when piccolo who can gauge Goku took a first glance at Vegeta I said he's maybe stronger than Goku and the thing is this is the same piccolo who trained 3 years with Goku and gohan
@@UnlimitedRadioButNoSoaptbf tien recognizes goku was already out of breath just by flying and super saiyan made the virus worst. I think gohan said something about goku not seeing the symptoms so he never the medicine preventively. This implies the virus was active before they were on the island and given his future self died from said virus, it's probably a substantial nerf
@@R0s3456 exactly; "probably." we know he was stronger, but not by how much. on top of that, what we do know is that vegeta is equal in power to 18, which to my knowledge goku has no scaling to. there's also a potential line of argument with nappa only being 14% stronger than piccolo, yet piccolo calling him IMMORTAL. meaning if piccolo's statements for goku being weaker aren't on that level, the nerf might be even less than that.
Vegeta is a big plot device in Freeza Sage because without him you don't get the Buu or cell sage, Freeza wins. Vegeta is the best in Freeza Saga 100% in my opinion, Cell Saga Vegeta is still good we just say his flaws as a character which I like about him, characters with flaws, or just many levels to makes you understand why they think and do think that the do. (p.s. everyone in the Cell Sage was flawed even Goku and Gohan). Buu saga was the last piece to his character before and after he died. Overall best version of him is Freeza Saga I Will Die on a hill on that the other versions are still good but if we are talking about him as a character and moving the story it is Freeza Saga 1000%.
No Saiyan's except Goku and Broly and his father would have survived withought vegeta because they sent egeta away with his crew so he would not die but if vegeta did not exist Nappa and Raditz would have died too
And I totally agree about toriyama is underrated dragon Ball Z is one of the best stories name something more original and that's came out in 30 years I know it has similar things as super Man but he's not a rip off character please name one
Don't need to watch to know the answer, Dragon Ball would be fine without Vegeta bc Goku is the soul of the show from before Vegeta was created. I don't care to hear that vegeta pushed goku this way or that when tien is there, piccolo is there and otherworldly Saiyans are there too to provide what vegeta provided, which was exposition, and a rival.
Idk who gave you a hard time about Vegeta being stronger than Goku during the android 19 part but I definitely agree that Vegeta was stronger than a healthy Goku, just by a little bit tho, I’d say by 1.25x
Namek vegeta> namek goku. This should really be a grass is green take considering the build up and everything vegeta done before goku was even apart of the arc
Namek Goku was one of the best gokus. Namek Goku had so much swagger when he approached the Ginyu force and effortlessly took them out. During the frieza fight Goku had so much bravado, no matter how much damage he had taken. Namek Goku is iconic but namek vegeta is also very iconic. Especially because he wasn’t a good guy yet
First of all I'm a Bejita The-IV hater, a huge hater I can't stand this prick over 90 % of the time. I do however admire his fighting and thinking abilities for the most part (Allowing Cell to achieve perfection was the dumbest thing he ever did). In terms of which saga he is the most important to moving the story, I would say Namek because even if Kuririn killed him on Earth and they go to Namek, without Bejita there to FU the Freeza force Gohan and Kuririn are sitting Ducks until Goku arrives with his new power.

16:16 I hate to break it to Vegeta fans, but Vegeta was not stronger than Goku when he fought android 19. Goku was not at full strength. In fact, he probably hadn't been at full strength during his training leading up to the fight and just didn't realize it.
how strong is full strength goku then? quantify the nerf.
@@R0s3456 exactly; "probably."
we know he was stronger, but not by how much.
on top of that, what we do know is that vegeta is equal in power to 18, which to my knowledge goku has no scaling to.
there's also a potential line of argument with nappa only being 14% stronger than piccolo, yet piccolo calling him IMMORTAL. meaning if piccolo's statements for goku being weaker aren't on that level, the nerf might be even less than that.
25:00 how is it trunks fault 💀
Don't need to watch to know the answer, Dragon Ball would be fine without Vegeta bc Goku is the soul of the show from before Vegeta was created. I don't care to hear that vegeta pushed goku this way or that when tien is there, piccolo is there and otherworldly Saiyans are there too to provide what vegeta provided, which was exposition, and a rival.
A six vid???
Idk who gave you a hard time about Vegeta being stronger than Goku during the android 19 part but I definitely agree that Vegeta was stronger than a healthy Goku, just by a little bit tho, I’d say by 1.25x
VEGETA MY KING
Namek vegeta> namek goku. This should really be a grass is green take considering the build up and everything vegeta done before goku was even apart of the arc
Namek Goku was one of the best gokus. Namek Goku had so much swagger when he approached the Ginyu force and effortlessly took them out. During the frieza fight Goku had so much bravado, no matter how much damage he had taken. Namek Goku is iconic but namek vegeta is also very iconic. Especially because he wasn’t a good guy yet
kai > z for dub
z > kai for sub
vegeta da goat
Cap and we all know it, you can replace Vegeta with a generic saiyan and it could be the same
Yo OG watch Arcane
what is unc wearing 💀
Armor
character flaws like vegetas are mid.
Zamasu is a better villiain than Frieza! Prove me wrong.
