      iX for interior, tech, range, power, dedicated EV platform from ground up and one pedal driving mode! Come on audi, electric with no one pedal mode?
      Still, Audi is a very solid car, quality and comfort. Can't go wrong with either one

    This car seems to be in the sweet Goldilocks spot I love. Not too powerful, not too much 'spaceship', not too much 'Ipad-controlled', not overly equipped with useless tech, etc., just beautifully designed and sweet to drive.

      I also have the 2022 version of thsi car and I can tell you that Audi needs to greatly improve its range and efficiency. I barely get 2.3 mi/KWh and avg 210 mile range FULLY CHARGED. And I’m hearing from drivers that the 2024 version, even with its larger 114 KWh Battery still is barely getting 230 miles on full charge!

      @@ONI1013. I am right now on vacation in central and eastern Europe with my wife and two boys in our Q8 e tron. We are mostly travelling on the highways with an average speed of 105-110km/h and are doing app. 430-440km/90kwh. It is about 0.21kWh/km, which isn't great, but still plenty, and we still have more than 50 km in excess range which is a safe buffer. The Q8 e tron is a huge car and I don't think that an equally sized car as comfortable as this will do a lot better for the foreseeable future

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nickcholeva6844 So would that mean you’re getting close to 480-490km range on a full charge then?

    • @nickcholeva6844
      @nickcholeva6844 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ONI1013. It would seem so. But being a bit of a coward I haven't tried to use more than around 90-95 kWh of the available 106kWh. And the most 'daring' trial I have made is 444 km using 94kWh. I could measure that quite exactly since the car was 100 % full before we started and after charging 94% it was back to 100 % in the evening. So no! I haven't tried to run the car all the way down to 0%. But theoretically extrapolating 94/444=0.211 by dividing it into 106, 106/0.211=502km seems probable at a max speed between 105-110 at 20 degrees Celsius.

    This my first attempt at commenting on a video. In the past, tesla talk has made me nauseous. They are poorly made golf carts with a tablet. Speed does not sell for me, i need more.

    Hi Mat, Thanks for a very decent review video, unlike many others I've been watching and almost rejected this car. However, your review made me rethink and reconsider this car I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow. I've been thinking for almost a year to switch to an EV but couldn't decide which one to go for as i pretty much test drove all of them. I think your video changed my mind! or you can say helped me make up my mind.

    So the official range is 285 miles from 114 kwh, that's 2.5 miles/kwh. And how close can the audi get to this is real life?
    I get between 3.5 and 4.3 from my BMW i4 40 (I admit that I drive gently, I like the EV smoothness) which is 285-350 miles from 81.5 kwh battery.
    The BMW is slightly lighter, but is the efficiency difference down to frontal area? Will all you SUV people convert into cars in the future?

  • @IanNelson
    @IanNelson ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the charging point is my biggest stumbling block. I have a plug in hybrid at the moment, but charging away from home on longer trips in UK is a nightmare. Therefore I was looking at the Tesla model Y purely on the range and charging facilities if all electric were my future. I also do trips to Europe and same issue applies. How do you find the Etron for longer trips and to more remote locations. It appears public charging is still a challenge? Also how much different is internal space? I am genuinely torn.

      We had two etron 55, one Sportback, one SUV and both of them were great but the range wasnt to impressive but that changed with the facelift so i dont see a problem in that and i guess that fast charging is better than plug in hybrid charging, or at least that’s what it is in Germany. I had problems charging my tfsie but not with the etron

    My biggest nitpick is the lack of a creep mode. Makes it very annoying to parallel park (especially on an incline). Or to just slowly nose into a parking spot. Also, the center storage space makes no sense. Plenty of room in theory except they put the cupholders at the bottom and leave the sides open making it kind of useless.
