My grandfather drove one of these and I remember riding in it as a kid. The engine cover would get pretty warm after a while and I loved it in the winter.
If I remember right: the 3741 is the Panel Van version, 3909i is the military ambulance version, 2206 is the minibus (up to 11 seats), and the 39094 is the pickup version (similar to the VW Type 2, and the Izuzu Fargo trucks). Nothing beats the old 452 though.
@ThatBikerGedi I appreciate the offer, I've decided that the cost to buy one, ship it, and the lack of parts here in the US just makes this an unrealistic project. Maybe someday if they start getting over here in more volume I'll re think this.
@RompRat42 Fair enough. To give you some numbers the cheapest stock good condition one with a bunch of spare parts (they are actually easy to get) would be $8,000 - $10,000 shipped.
"Is that where you hide the Mexicans?" As a Mexican, I laughed my ass off. Hahaha. In Arizona as well, yikes. He's going to get inspected at every immigration checkpoint now.
we were taken to the hospital in the army on this, it was torture on the road, and you could get sick even worse. it is still used in the ambulance in poor cities
Actually this van was designed in the mid-50s, and has almost not changed ever since. It was built primarily for the military. Which is why it is so rudimentary but tough. Recently the company attempts to cater to some civilian customers, building kind of expedition vans with at least basic elements of comfort.
I believe he paid 3500 us but the shipping was over 8k... also you need to get an older (20yr) so it can be grandfathered in for registration purposes. I've really wanted one of these for years now but sourcing a descent one and getting through all the red tape and expenses really kills it.
Not quite right, they're available if you know where to look. I know someone that gets them from Europe. He's based in the UK, which makes it easy to ship them.
idk how it gose in US, but in China there was some sources claimed that this uaz452 can be imported……but at an extraordinary price of approximately 22k usd. And I haven't heard about any news from it for few years, I guess just because the price is too crazy
As a Mexican, I didn’t find the comment “is that where you hide the Mexicans?” Funny at all. I mean we can’t laugh at, “can’t see them unless they smile or palms up”. Andre seemed a bit perplexed by the comment as well. Out of place comment and it wasn’t even funny just a blurted out comment. Lost a subscriber.
These are also used as an ambulance. I love these vans.

One of the best 4X4 van. Easy to fix, very capable and cheap. There are 4 of them in the USA that I know.
Any in the midwest?
I know someone that can export them to the US/Canada :)
Google RetroRidesAndRelics
Andre is a modest man. His van is nice and simple.
Great guest and truck Howard.

Good to see the two channel reps together. I kind of worried there was bad blood when Truck King left TFL. Apparently not.
No bad blood!
Love the Buhanka! On any channel!
These trucks are on sale new in a oficial UAZ dealer in monterrey, nuevo leon, mexico, they sale the UAZ Hunter too
I would love to have one of these!!
I know someone that can export them at a good price from Europe to North America :)
@@ThatBikerGedi I will definitely keep that info in mind!! Let me get some things paid off and I'll see what I can do. Thanks!!
It’s great to see you guys out there.
Love you guys working together
Cool van, nice collaboration with Andre! His timing on importing that van was good, I bet it would be impossible now.
I'm wondering the same thing. I bet they wouldn't let it export or import.
@@RompRat42It's possible. I know someone in the UK, he can get them from Europe. Google RetroRidesAndRelics.
Cool video! These vans must atrract a lot of attention in the US 😊
I'd LOVE to get my hands on one.
I know someone that can help. He's based in the UK and can get them from Europe.

Hey Andrey!! Hey Howard!! Raced a guy in fox body mustang on dirt track last night ...I drove a 67' Olds 98 Regency. Won by half car length
Felt a bit like a 1940s or 50s vehicle. Going 55 in that is definitely a high risk adventure.
I want one!
I know someone that can export them to North America :)
This is the perfect candidate for an engine swap. A 4 cylinder diesel or even a 4 cylinder from a Chevy truck or Ford Ranger would be interesting.
2 TR FE
2.7 L
идеально.
Nooo!
Love these "loaves" I wished I could get one here but the shipping ends up being twice what the vehicle costs. 😢
What's your budget? I know someone that can get them a good price from Europe. Transporting it to the UK and then shipping it from there.

Awesome. Definitely need to stock spar parts.

👏👏👏ANDRE and his Loaf of Bread 👏👏👏 HAVE A BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY EVERYONE ✌️
How did you manage to import a Buhanka from Russia? I wish I could own one!

@ 5:38 is that were you hide the Mexicans ? , i about fell on the floor laughing
That Buhanka kinda looks like a VW Bus from the back
was it easy to register?
how much they go for?

Great video guys!
Thanks so much!
Love that light bar
“Is that where you hide the Mexicans?” 🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Weird to hear him called Howard instead of Dad.
And here I was thinking I had clicked on a tfl video. What nice surprise.
it’s a soviet vw T1
This was great 👍
well, My question is: what tyre rim are you mounting is it an ET0 or do you have wheel distance rings?
A Scooby van. Just don't drive it around in southern Ukraine Andrey. Its a hot target there.
Cool van - what size are the tires?
Nice to a snowbird all tanned.
You near Fortuna pond? Used as water to fight fires.
I want one of these so bad, ever since I saw them in Mongolia, but I imagine they'll be impossible to get in the US for a while.

They back together 👍👍👍💺💺
Hi. having traveled on it, you will feel how to live in Russia
😁buhanka is not official name and there is another nonofficial name that is Tabletka. it's still used for medical emergency calls in CIS countries

Well, I know someone that can export them for a much cheaper price :)
I'm curious if the new Honda passport could make it thru that??
Hey Andre, did you get the extended warranty? 🤣
He has been getting lots of calls about getting it. But he keeps ignoring those calls.
Yeah but the catch is he has to ship it to Russia every time he needs a repair. That’s how they get ya.
The Soviet Chevy Van and Ford Econoline and Bedford. More durable than a Land Cruiser.
These are new cars not sold in the US. How are they street legal in the US??
likely exempt due to the age of the vehicle

Oh, what shall we do...
Yeah that comment was cringe. Not surprising considering his age and background.
Andre didn’t think it was funny.
Okay, but it's true though.
