- We're headed back into the ruins of La-Mulana with this remix of the game's final boss theme: Good Night Mom!
I can't express enough how under-appreciated the Lu-Mulana soundtrack is. I was first introduced to it five years ago when I covered Interstice of the Dimension after receiving various requests for it. After checking out more of the soundtrack, I always had in the back of my mind that I'd like to return to it someday.
So now, five years later, here's your second La-Mulana GaMetal!
If you like Metroidvania style games, give La-Mulana a try if you haven't yet. If you don't like Metroidvanias... you should still give it a chance. It's a great game with an amazing soundtrack and deserves more love!

La Mulana (and its sequel) deserve all the covers they can get. The soundtracks are among the absolute best I've ever heard. You really knocked this one out of the park.
I'm really surprised there aren't more- especially since all the sheet music is public. The artist formerly known as Hylian Lemon put out some good stuff...

The sequel is literally the most dissapointing sequel I've seen. But you're right, the music still kicks ass
@@lyrichub2770 Aside from the bug squashing that lasted over a year, what else was disappointing? It's also true that it is a less-LA-MULANish LA-MULANA, with a bigger focus on the action and platforming- but the brain melting puzzles are still there. I finally understand why the music feels different too-- EG-LANA's characteristic is rage and rebellion, while LA-MULANA's is mourning-- which fits into the narratives excellently, imo, even if I like sad music.
@@mysterypersonthing8885 Plus, it's explained in-game why the sequel is a bit more action-focused and is deadlier in general. One of the sages states that the traps in La-Mulana were designed to test you. The traps in Eg-Lana are designed to kill you.
Dude seriously, La Mulana is a criminally underrated game. People, if you enjoyed treasures like SoTN, Hollow Knight or Super Metroid you will love La Mulana.
Question: I hate Super Metroid and Castlevania, but I love Hollow Knight. Should I still try it?
@@ord3r781 Only if you are not ashamed to look for help online. The forums are the best to avoid spoilers. The game is great, but there are lots of bs in the puzzles. I suggest trying to solve the most you can yourself, but when you are truly stuck and tried everything else, look for help online. You'll probably have an idea of what exactly is the puzzle you need. And for the love of God, take prints of every tablet, you gonna need them, and the game puts a limitation on your ability to save them. As Dosh said the forums said, solving 80% of this game alone is actually pretty good.

I search for all TH-cam trying to find a remix of the Mother during 3 years, now Mother hears me and she gives me this masterpiece made in metal heavens, the boss was dificult, one step in a bad momento means DEATH! specially in the last phase, but i don't care, i like hard videogames with nightmare puzzles like La-Mulana (1 & 2).

Hope you like hard as brain-melting puzzle platformers! It's fun and the lore is insane and deep but it is unforgiving.

Finally, some actual La-Mulana love, the soundtrack is fantastic and you could probably make an entire thing just by remixing the boss themes into a single song alone. Fingers crossed for La-mulana 2 stuff in the future, that game also has some pretty good tunes

Silent Desert - Ys Origin
A wildly underrated track from an underrated series, also gives an excuse to break out a Xylophone for the first time since grade school.
Solomon Shrine - Ys II
I feel like some more acoustic covers would be pleasing to the ear. One of the more popular tracks from the Ys series.
The Devil's Wind - Ys Origin (remix of a song from Ys I)
This one has a ton of room for creative freedom.
Scars of the Divine Wing - Ys Origin
This track would be remembered on the same level as Battle On The Big Bridge if it came from a more popular franchise.
Mighty Obstacle - Ys 6
Double synth harmonics, and a MASSIVE guitar solo.
Ernst - Ys VI
This one would honestly just be a lot of fun to see in your style
Valestein Castle - Ys: The Oath In Felghana (remake of Ys III)
One of the most memorable tracks from this game that would also remotely in your style. Illsburn Ruins is amazing but it also rquires a harp on hand to work without sounding like ass.
Forest of Dawn - Ys: Memories of Celceta (remake of Ys IV)
I don't know if this one would work at all in your style, but regardless it's a good track, and it deserves a good cover.

If you will make the Void Termina remix (I know you will), I suggest you supplement it with "Tridential Passion of the Mages" as the last part, and "Happiest Curtain call" for the guitar credits.
Void Termina has like 7 songs involved with it as is, adding whatever that song is would be overkill, and acoustic shorts are generally decided by whichever ones fit that have either been bought via higher Patreon tier rewards or Jonny Dollars on the GaMetal Discord server, I’m certain there’s a Kirby song somewhere on the acoustic backlog

If you wanted an arranging challenge, STIGMATA from Mana Khemia is a good mix of Piano/Guitar(with solos for both!), but is ostensibly a vocals piece. The vocals definitely sound like they could be adapted into a lead guitar line instead though.
