I was blown away by the image and audio quality of the Action 4. In a way, it's like having a full-frame camera in a compact action cam - perfect for on-the-go vlogging
Enjoyed your review. I love how the action 4's compact size and automatic settings make it perfect for capturing spontaneous moments. No need to fuss over complicated settings.
The dji camera has a distorted picture btw; check at 0:25/0:26 the legs and at 3:33 legs and body of your mate. It’s out of proportion; huge legs.. it also seems to happen with your arms at certain distance (not the real close up where things seems bigger). It’s really obvious at 3:33, at 4:07 etc.
I'm not really seeing it. I think he just got a big ol' booty and thick legs.
On the plus side, calf muscle gains.
No I think he’s just thicc
@@Jut1911only on his left side ( at 3:37 ) ? Lol. No way… looks twice the size of the right leg. Obviously something wrong with the camera. No go for me…
Cheers to Patrick! The Rille strap saved my Fujifilm from flying around in the rough gravel of north Norway last month!
Have you ever looked into gyroflow or using any gyroscopic data based stabilization software for your full size cameras? It's used a lot in the fpv drone community when they fly drones with larger sensor cameras mounted on them. Adds an extra layer of stabilization in software
That's what I use on my full-frame sony camera yes
The hassle free compact
Size is a win. I look forward to your new footage.👍🏻
Battery life is a non-issue with the osmo action 4. With the adventure package boasting three batteries each lasting 160 minutes, I have to say I'm impressed!
Question! In a previous video you praised DJI for their magnetic mount for quick changes to other mounts - but not with the mouth mount I’m guessing - or do you see a way to use magnetic mount and mouth mount? THANKS!
Yeah i just put the magnetic adapter on the mouth mount, so it works!
You were near my fav roads there; did you also ride the ‘malpie’? Is close to leenderheide/leenderbos.
Gonna remember that for next time!
Have you got a ND filter on the action 4 or are those colours straight from the camera?
I have been using the original Osmo Action for years, and have been thinking about switching to Go Pro recently, but might go for this instead!
I love the new osmo action4! Definitely going to buy it!
Great image quality!! Sound (wind).. is there an easy solution?
There are some small stickers with "dead cat" that you can put on the mic
I'd enjoy the videos either way. There are things I like more about each. The (wind) sound however is the thing that always makes me hesitate about such action cameras whenever I think it could be useful for me. I know you can get things for that but then it kind of disrupts the whole pocket camera thing
I'm going to try some simple and not too invasive solutions for the audio
@@Fernwee Looking forward to that, as it's the question over audio that makes me hesitate to invest in changing over to DJI from GoPro (which also has shit audio out of the box).
@@FernweeCheck the path less pedaled's review of that camera. He mentions a good solution for wind noise.
The convenience of the osmo action 4 is unbeatable. Just clip it onto your gear, and you're ready for adventure!
looks and sounds great.
What is the attachment you use to put the camera in your mouth? 🙏
Will have to look into dji when I someday replace my gopro.
I use this mount: amzn.to/44QF6sl
When do you give an update on your Africa trip? It looked tough AF!!
What sorta update do you want? It was tough AF, we did, then we went home ;)
I agree the image quality looks better than a phone. And this stabilization is 🔥🔥
Nice review. Still using my Osmo Action 1 but I think it is the right time for a replacement :) See you somewhere in the trials in the Netherlands🚲
I've had my eye on Insta360 One RS and they're on big discounts now on the official page, not gonna lie, kinda tempting as I have no need for the additional 360 degree module combo etc.
Nice review. on a seperate note where is your tee shirt from?
chancerunning.com
The video would have been ever more awesome if you would have matched the shutter speeds for a nice blur
The Osmo Action 4's audio quality is also impressive in my opinion.
I love the music!
As an avid mountain biker, the Osmo Action 4 is a dream come true.
The quality of the OSMO Action 4 is outstanding.
Nice one. Just add a dead cat and the DJI definitely might be a single solution camera. How easy is the editing within Premiere I guess?
Editing is as easy as with any footage. A deadcat is a good idea!
DJI has truly improved the Osmo-Action series.
With a real camera you can get depth. That is the only video thing I like on the big camera. Sound is the second big thing but it can be added on.
Do you just use paraffin wax for your chain or do you add anything else?
I use this liquid wax: shop.fernwee.cc/collections/ride-beyond-crew/products/dynamic-x-fernwee-bio-wax
Amazing!!
Kinda warm almost yellowish picture with the dji
That might also be my grading :D
I think that for your style of videos, I personally enjoy the cinematic quality you get with a camera that can have some depth of field. In Patrick's footage on the bike in this video, the small bits that are out of focus, and the shakiness adds some character for me that I like.
Despite this, I think any camera you choose, you are creative enough to overcome its limitations and make great videos. Keep it up!
I appreciate that point of view!
I agree, that's something I missed, too. However, I am also impressed by the image quality and stabilizer of this little thing!
Yes it’s fine
But the wind noise isn’t good. Maybe the direction it’s facing though
Let's see if I can do something about that
I'm amazed at how effortlessly the DJI Osmo Action 4 captures stunning action shots. No need to fiddle with settings - just point and shoot
Pixels are breaking 1080p and below. Only watchable 2k and 4k
counted at least 6 bot comments praising the camera. weird.
How do you ride with a mount in your mouth? I feeel like I would throw up after a few seconds...
Wind noise is horrible.
Interesting that the founder of Focus Bikes is riding a bike with rim brakes! 🚴
Why?
@@cyclingjack - It just surprised me, you could assume that someone like him would ride one of his newest models. None side taken here! :D
@@pathlieshidden no worries; but notice he was there with his motorcycle (to be seen in the garden). I am sure he borrowed someone’s bike (size / availability).
I don’t think he’s the founder
Settings on dark places can still be improved. Way too dark in shady places
Too much promoted content on your channel.
In Dutch we have a saying: “Nothing is free except for the sun”.
Distortion is unforgivable with this DJI’s 😢
Nice love it❤!!💪🏻💪🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻🚵♀️
