Got them all right only based on color settings. More greenery with the GoPro but both very clear and crisp. With a filter change I wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. Great video.
DJI all day long for me. Customer service is insane if you take out DJI care refresh 👌 I used it on a drone. & it’s very good value in my opinion.
Great timing, I was trying to decide what to put my money away for on possible Black Friday sales purchases as I can’t justify just buying one just because but I saw the DJI was so much less than a GoPro but I wasn’t sure how different the quality was. Also the magnetic mount looks really good and also allows for native changing to portrait made as I would probably start off posting to instagram when I get one. 🤘🤣🤪

great video as always !!!! I love my GoPro, but in the low light it gets really tricky to shoot. Interesting about the DJI.
Careful with that topcap...it's a weird plastic that cracks. Mine gave out entering a race. I got a timely topcap donation from a mechanic closeby and was fine.
I could tell the difference in the video quality, but not on the audio.

The GoPro just looks a bit more saturated to me. Personally, I like that pop of color but they're both doing a great job. That extra pop should be fairly straightforward to add later if you want it on the DJI (assuming video editing is at all like photo editing).

DJI is easy to tell due to the higher FOV, but other than that, pretty close, I'd say the GoPro also seems to have more stability in the subject, whereas DJI stabilises the environment better
dji fov is limited. go pro is not.
I guessed correctly based solely on the vibrancy of the videos. I also got the audio correct because there was less distortion on the GoPro. Neither of those things matter as much to me as how glitchy the GoPro can be with locking up and requiring the removal of the battery to fix which happens on almost every ride. If the DJI is reliable, I would definitely purchase one.
Gopro has a warmer white balance compared to the DJI. Other than that, they're practically identical.
Do they both have horizon lock on ? I felt like I could see horizon lock on the left picture more in the berms.
Got the image tests right thanks to GoPro ALWAYS over exposing bright spots in the trees and their unique looking motion stabilisation blurring in low light. I got the sound test round though, I'm just really used to hearing the trail sounds with my GoPro so that threw me off.
Which looks better? To me and without editing, the GoPro.... but I think the DJI actually has the best picture for editing... if you can be bothered
So it turns out the silliest review comparing these is the most objective and possibly the best. Great job!
I got the GoPro each time, even the audio. But which is better? I’m not sure. As shown (I assume the footage was straight out of camera) I think I prefer the overall look of the DJI. But I think there is a little more detail in the GoPro. If you were colour grading, I think maybe the GoPro would have the edge, but I’d be happy with either.
Regarding stabilisation, in light conditions they looked very similar. In darker conditions the GoPro was struggling and the DJI looked like it cropped in a bit more and looks a little floaty. I’d take either.
They are so similar that when I next buy an action camera I’ll probably go with the one that has the most fluid interface. GoPro can be a pain to use, so any improvement the DJI offers in that respect would be welcome.

More vibrant colours and marginally better stabilisation with GoPro, nothing that 2 clicks during editing can’t fix. Brand trust is equal with both I’d say, but DJI seems to be a better value for money.
The DJI makes it look like a cloudy day compared to the GoPro.
I could tell the GoPro pretty quickly, because the frame looks just a little wider and it's a little brighter/warmer.
I got them all correct😂 the GoPro stabilization looks just a hair more stable. Also got the audio clips correct the GoPro sounds just a hair better. They are definitely in the same ballpark performance wise. The DJI seems like the value winner with the $100 discount and 2 extra batteries though
The GoPro color is abit more vibrant. But it is close enough to consider the DJI. The extra batteries may be enough of an incentive.
GoPro footage is always more vivid/saturated than other action cameras, so it was really easy to identify them. However that cable management makes me feel uncomfortable! Please get them dialed my friend
I still think the gopro looks better then dji but i think the new insta 360 is better then both of them. Love the capra though I cant wait for mine to show up in the mail. 🤤

For me its still the gopro. only reason, the colours are richer. you see slightly more details of the ground. No its not only settings.
And the gopro software recognises shadows a little better and paints them darker. Look at the low light part of this video to see what i mean.
I feel like the DJI does better with the contrast of shadow and light. That may just be me. While the Go Pro seems more crisp, the shadow and light changes throw me off.
But does DGI have a frustrating app to pair with it?!

GoPro was brighter, and the sound a bit cleaner. I got the correct guesses on all of these. I'm not sure that the slight superiority of the GoPro is worth the $100 extra. Nice that the DJI got better battery performance.
Both are very nice cameras for the average consumer. But @BOBO if you have a hotline to DJI then please tell them that there is a large user base that wants pro features such as being able to disable noise reduction, customize stabilization parameters, increase bitrate, customize log curves, use wider color space and so on. GoPro has GoPro Labs, and that currently makes GoPro the winner for pro users. Nice video as always btw :)
everything is running at 720p on my machine at this time the side by side is splitting the available pixels on my display and not near what either cam actually record. either vid could be adjusted for color and brightness during editing. how about testing image stabilaztion and horizon lock mebbe

@@OldFatSlow72 battery charging station with batterys is 40€ maybe cheaper. you wont save much with the dji.

I got them right every time cus the GoPRO is SLIGHTLY crisper footage but i can barely tell
It's easy to difeerenciate dji has wider fov and gopro has warmer colours like he dirt is more orange and dji is more realistic imo

DjI has better contrast while not blowing out the highlights.
Gopro - slightly blown out in mixed lighting in an attempt to have higher saturation, muddy detail up close on the ground when riding, and always horrible wind noise. Having spent hours trying to make my own gopro footage look and sound not like that.

right now, gopro has a sharper and slightly better optic.

if yiu dont care, cant see the quality differnce in the video you should pic the dji.
if you want to make videos with the best optic. possible gopro. yeah the touchscreen is awful.
I've yet to see another company make an action camera that performs better than GoPro. That still remains true 🤷🏻♂️
The colors and lighting look better with the Hero 12. It also looked like the Hero 12 did a little better in low light. Professionals use GoPros for a reason.
The DJI is the one that doesn't keep crashing

DJI stabilization is so much better.
The GoPro's video looked nicer than the DJI IMHO. But the DJI sounded a bit better than the GoPro.

The biggest difference I noticed right away was in the stabilization: the DJI seemed more eager to reflect your body movement up and down while the GoPro stayed a little more level.
That said, I’m very curious what stabilization settings you were using on each!!
Would recommend locking the white balance at a given value, it should always be done this way, or you will have an issue during postproduction.
Would also recommend using the max recording bitrate and locking the max ISO to 800 when performing the comparison.
On the GoPro, I STRONGLY RECOMEND de Max Mod Lens 2.0, for MTB it is absolutely awesome!
Got hands on raw footage from both cameras and the difference on quality is very noticeable, went with GoPro 12 Black and it has worked flawlessly.

Got it right reason being is because I had both. But I sent the DJI back. I noticed that there is a jitter in the footage when I had an nd filter on the DJI. I wanted the DJI to beat the GoPro. But I was wrong. The GoPro stabilization is a beast on the GoPro with nd filters. But DJIs other products are so badass. Pocket 3 rules and so does their mics.

Gopro looks better in terms of color reproduction and is a bit smoother... SInce I go on quality of footage gopro is still ahead of DJI
