Geoff was doing this from home after hours and his young son was in bed asleep (he thought). All of a sudden, his son said "Is that Blackbird, Daddy?" "Yes. Go to sleep or the toilet monster will get you. This was done by the Beatles when I was in middle school. A couple of years later, Paul McCartney was being interviewed about this and said he wrote it to honor the American Civil Rights movement. Take these broken wings and learn to fly, Take these sunken eyes and learn to see. Hope for the future - haven't gotten there yet and it's been 60 long years.
Geoff released a new cover a few days ago, It is a cover of the Mills Brothers song "Till Then" from the 1940's during WW2. A song about a soldier writing to his love asking her to wait for his return from war. The woman in the video is his wife Kathy. You will love it.

Please don't take this as a criticism. It isn't, it's just a helpful tip with a tricky word in English. 'Bass' has two meanings and two pronunciations. One is a fish pronounced as you've been pronouncing it. The other is to describe low frequency sounds or instruments that create low sounds (Geoff's voice or a bass guitar) - that version is pronounced Base - like first base (baseball) or military base. One word, two meanings, two ways to say it. English is full of these quirky little words. (As a bass player, I die a little inside when I hear it called a fish, lol)
