Geoff's latest Ain't No Sunshine is very moving, but his Shenandoah is beautiful in a different way. I think you'd love both.

Loved hearing about your Nan and Grandpa from Liverpool! Geoff did a masterful performance on this song, as per usual.
I love his version of Shenandoah. His low notes are totally appropriate, he plays the piano, and the harmonies are beautiful.

I think Blackbird was the first time I'd heard Geoff sing using almost all his range and I love it! Of course now with his latest, Ain't No Sunshine, he sings more in his higher range and it's glorious! Loved your reaction, thank you! 🙂👍

Even though it's not his most impressive song technically, this is my favorite of his. Just so lovely.
I have a lot of family memories tied to music, I understand the emotional reaction Geoff caused with this cover. Thanx so much for your reaction, for sharing your stories and feelings with us. You haven't reacted to his version of Shenandoah, it's a very old American folk song and is very soothing the way he does it. His newest is Ain't No Sunshine, very beautiful, and just heartbreaking. You might have to steel yourself before you react to it.

Phenomenal vocal performance. Another artist with multiple voices is Zhou Shen, as he shows in "Dalabengba", sorry no subtitles, but still worth watching.
He was recording this at home after his son had gone to bed. He was being as quiet as he could when he heard his son ask, "Daddy, is that Blackbird". Geoff answered back, "Yes, go back to sleep." Paul McCartney was being interviewed about Blackbird way back when, and said it was written to support the American Civil Rights movement.
So my only complaint for Geoff and early VoicePlay...is that sometimes the bass drop doesn't match the style of the song at can actually take away from the song. Now recently this has not been the case but in this, for instance, the last drop just doesn't sit right with me. Everything else was perfect and of course he has awesome talent...this can not be denied. It is like Adam Rupp with his vocal percussion or even Tim Foust with his bass, it usually fits stylistically to the song. Awesome reaction as always, always look forward to your reactions!

I see you've also reacted to Home Free so would you consider reacting to Tim Foust's (Home Free's bass) covering "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay"? He has his own YT channel and I think you'll find his cover equally as entertaining and amazing as you found Geoff's cover of "Blackbird." So glad I found your channel! Keep 'em coming!
