- Top 5 best Predator boots ever released - in today's Episode 124 of the Boot Nerds Podcast, JayMike from Unisport and Josh from SR4U will go through their Top 5 best Predator boots ever - and the list might be slightly controversial. The boys have compiled their lists based on their personal opinion on the boots' playability but also looked at how iconic the boots are and how important they've been. Also, they don't entirely agree, which only makes the dicusssion a lot more interesting - so if you have ever worn a Predator and have a firm number 1, then this Episode 124 of the Boot Nerds Podcast will definitely be a good listen.

My all time favourite is the Powerswerve.
My top is
1. Accelerator: GOAT design
2. Powerswerve: maximum enjoymet in wearing
3. Pulse: pinacle of Predator "secret recipe" execution
4. Precision: Built for war, would wear this to Normandy
5. Mania: Iconic design
I know the Mania is many people´s favorite, but I think the Pulse does everything the Mania wants to, but slightly better. My controversial opinion is that I would actually do without the tongue. I dont´t cut it beacuse that would be a deadly sin, but I woudl actually prefer not to have it, especially with the rubber. I prefer the Accelerator´s tongue, which as the Copa Mundial, onces tamed you don´t have to struggle with it.
Huge fan of the podcast.
Disclamer I haven´t tried the LZ 1,2 ; Instic; Freak nor the Adipower.

Shout out to the white precision. DB7 vs Greece. Iconic. More of that moment than the boot itself.
Could easily have gone for 3 Manias for best looking but I tried to have 1 for each model.

Such a hard list. Mine is nostalgic and I'm not ashamed of that.
Best looking preds:
1 - Mania in every single colorway
2 - Pulse in blackout with the red tongue (or the Kaka's red and black ones too)
3 - Absolute in white, black and red UCL
I think the Adipower was the most underrated Predator to date. It’s shooting rubber element was my favorite out of all the predators I tried, it came out during a time when they made cleats lighter but not how light as they are now so the Adipowers were my favorite weight, the leather also has very little water intake unlike the K-leather classics before.

Hey guys love the podcast! I have a really wide foot and I know laceless boots are hard to put on but how does the speedflow plus compare with other laceless boots? I have the speedflow.1 and they fit nicely but how hard are the laceless to get on? Love you guys!!

My Pick is: 1. Accelerator; 2. Manias; 3. Mutator (red-black colorway) 4. Adipower; 5. Pulse all of them OGs and I chose them only because of the looks ;) Predators are my all-time fave!
I’ve only played in the adiPower and the Mania remake and have loved both of them. Would have liked to try the Powerswerve, Pulse, and Absolute.

Predator Instinct at the top I loved that boot!! The crazylight version was even better but does that one count?
Not only was the Adipower the most underrated predator, it was the best predator made, in terms of actual performance and usability. Even today it still holds up. Which cannot be said for most predators, even predators that have come after the Adipowers

On the subject of SG on AG pitches, as a rugby fan as well you see all 46 players wear SG boots on 4g and the knee injuries don’t seem as high as they used to be. As far as I was aware it’s not normally done as it ruins the pitches and not a safety as they are normally conical studs

LZs are my jam, I remember being like 11 years old and bugging out over those as a centerback on my youth team. It's those and the adiPowers that my brother gave me as hand me downs.
Before I watched this vid, I ended up buying a pair of Rawdacious 9's & was trying to negotiate on eBay for a pair of the Totti Tiempo V's, so thank you guys for vaildating my choices :)

Why does everyone refer to the Predator II as the Predator Rapier, which was actually the take down model and the pro model was just the Predator II (and surprisingly made of Buffalo leather)?

Since indoor football season is about to start, do you like more what adidas is doing with the speedflow.1 in for example (using the upper from the top model and the hell section from the takedown model) or what Puma is doing with the future z pro court (using the hell section from the top model but the upper from the takedown model).

Before I start listening, I guess Mania, Adipower, Powerswerve made the list.
My top 3 would be adipowe. Power swerve and... the LZ. Loved the LZ just unfortunate that people were too hung up on leather on Preds back then.
I feel like you guys purposefully avoid ever mentioning the Precisions. In the handful of years I played, I began with Accelerators, moved up to Precisions, and ultimately the champagne Manias. Three absolutely BEAUTIFUL boots in my opinion.

I only wore the Mania (champagne) and Pulse (gunmetal), and Absolute (maroon synthetic and leather gold/black). Mania was fantastic, especially for passing with the inside of your foot. The Pulse had the junk plastic stripes on the inside of the foot. Horrible. The synthetic Absolute was a hunk of junk and the gold/black leather Absolute was just….ok.
I also think the synthetic version of the Absolute was awful, but it did look cool.
