  • Today we travel to New York City to ride our ebikes around. The west side greenway and car free Central Park were prime biking locations.

Good video thanks for shouting out our squad Gotham Ebikes which is the biggest ebike group in the city at the moment followed by S3 crew and Team ECS which mainly ride escooters. Next time you come thru check in with us we'll give you a much better ride experience NYC is bigger than Manhattan and don't forget your chargers next time

Good video, and very interesting ride. It's funny that where I live, the suburbs have no bike infrastructure, but downtown there's bike lanes almost everywhere.

Are you pedaling it? This is cool. I love my city but would not ride a bike in traffic brave soul. You went an a decent time light traffic etc. Good video

E-bikers: "Dude, check out this awesome looking bike I have, and all the specs, and all the cool gadgets on it, and..., and..., and..."
Everyone else in NYC: "Can you just get that 80lb moped out of my way???"

Those stop lights are remnants of when cars were allowed. Pedestrians have the right of way, but Idaho stop rules are the norm in the park. I think the lights are confusing as is right now.

I've seen your other videos and I had a feeling you were riding around Watchung haha. I used to take my 66cc 2stroke bike through those same roads in the reservation

The red signal light universally means a full stop is required. But whether one can proceed from the stop and through the red, depends on the locality. Unfortunately, if you bike through the red and a pedestrian is walking with the green, any contact will have the cyclist at fault. Better to play it safe, and while in the park, even signal your intention to stop, as riders behind you may come up with no intention of stopping. Thank you for the video.

Nice bike ride. You probably was better off getting into the West Side Highway right on 33rd as soon you got off Penn Station then ride up to 58th and get Central Park from the point you both left. That why you can ride around the whole park. I think the east side of the park is more scenic thank the west.

Funny- as you orig. thought you were driving Up-Town when you were heading Down-Town- but that's OK its your first time in The City! Anyway, I used to 'run' everywhere you guys ebiked around but I am now oldER and you showed me with an ebike one can really get around (Even if your not so sure where your headed exactly!) Good video- be safe!

Being on the Westcoast we have way more rural residential highways. 55mph all through town. A tab bit harder to stay with traffic.

In the UK our public transportation wants us all to ride bikes so much that they have banned all electric bikes and scooters from their services, that's how much they want people to ride these things in the UK.
Strange considering they have put in so many restrictions on driving in the city.

Your NBPower 2000w motor kit has a 45 amp controller so my question is can you run it full throttle at 45 amps for long periods of time like 30 mins or more or only for short few minute bursts?

Don't want to rain on your parade, but be careful on the Greenway path (west side highway). They banned e-bikes and scooters a few months ago...And NYC is a revenue maker lately.
Also, It's a good thing you didn't try to take the PATH trains, as they banned certain e-bikes. Supposedly they're worried about the lithium batteries being a fire hazzard.

They just don’t wanna include ebikes as a tax credit footprint because the companies aren’t lining enough politicians pockets like the EV-bigger name car manufacturers

I think the main reason people don't cycle tends to be laziness, they prefer the comfort of their car, however saying that, I also think infrastructure plays a huge part in convincing people to have a go, also watching fat people on bikes is inspiring for some people as well, because they often think and I have spoken so some people about this, if they can do it why can't I kind of attitude, it's the same with scooters and other things that make you move a little, watching fat people on these devices puts slim people to shame.
After all slim people have zero excuse so they use the lack of infrastructure as their excuse.
Let's face it, it is inspiring to see a fat person trying to make changes especially when you see some positive results.

I know this is a long time but I'm just watching it now and you funny you said the the site the it wasn't much You're on the river and you act like you're from somewhere far like you cross the bridge over the other side of the water and you have the view of the the river what what could be more exciting than that and then you jumped on the sidewalk you want you talking about a lot about he's of course there's nothing sidewalk you supposed to be in the streets or walk it on the sidewalk on the sidewalk until you get into the park you on the sidewalk that's not the part you on the outside of the park That's why you see bodies
