I’ve seen this sprite before. There’s also an unused sprite of the prince getting beheaded by a trap. What image effect is used in the thumbnail? I’m obsessed by the way it looks on these sprites.
@@davidricardofloressilva29 I used to have the unused sprites years ago but I’ve since lost them and haven’t been able to locate them online. I’m not exactly sure how you would go about finding them in the game’s files but they definitely are there. I’m going to try and figure out how to get in the rom file and extract them.
I can (sort of) explain it by speculating and because I've seen this bug before, and I've encountered by putting a teleport tile next to a wall. I assume it tries to reposition the Prince in the floor tile where the guard is and do his entering the teleport animation, but because the guard and the Prince can't really be in the same floor tile, the game doesn't know what to do, and displays an otherwise unused death animation from a removed trap (a spear). Notice that the Prince doesn't die until he gets hit with the guard's sword. The guard is interrupting your teleporting half-way thru the teleporting process, so the game again doesn't know what to do.
@@davidricardofloressilva29 Yeah, these Prince spear death sprites and an also unused decapitation death are the only ones that have blood in it, lbecause they were left unused by the time they started censoring the blood, so they never updated those sprites to removed the blood from them.
