They put so much stuff in a BMW that not even their techs want to work on them. Cool swap. I swapping a Ls3/6L80E in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. It's a project with my grandkids.!!!
@@Reason0684 definitely doable. Is it gonna be harder than with a lift? Oh yeah. But you can get it done on jack stands. I’d say 80% of the work is done from the front engine bay side anyway.
Very nice! With the LS installed, are you able to reach/replace the rearmost spark plugs? Looks a wee bit tight back there. Or would you have to pop the front and pull the engine forward to access them?
@@gregzoller9003 there’s more room than you think. With the cowl panel removed (just a couple screws) the plugs are pretty easily accessible. Way easier than this engine in a 98-02 f body
@@charlesdemeary thanks man, I’d love to do a one and done video but it would be really long and I think it would be hard to sit through in one go for most people. But trying my best to keep them short and to the point
@@Sfdgarage cool, might I suggest something? Once you’re done with the series, can you put it together in its entirety in one video? I think it might surprise you.
@@charlesdemeary I’ll definitely look into that and maybe just bookmark the entire thing with the important parts so you can jump to them easily. Would be nicer for someone doing the swap
Nice job! These should be solid videos to help a lot of people out with the swap
@@lse90garage thanks that means a lot! Wouldn’t have been possible without your videos, website, and Facebook page so major props to everything you do

cant wait to see more, great walkthrough so far!!
Well done love the editing/transition work
Excited to see the next video!
Very nice! Can't wait to start mine.
Going to be so sick! Please document in detail how you are doing the coolant lines. I’m subbed
@@Stckit1 coolant lines should be covered in the next video in detail with all part numbers you’re gonna need!
Liking this, interesting to see how you integrate the Holley EFI into the car
@@rlscustoms there’s gonna be a ton of info on that coming up real soon
@@Sfdgarage awesome looking forward to that!
I wanna do a ls swap on my Ti, looking forward to all the info you give
Can’t wait to see this! Love the 135i body, not a huge fan of its engines failure points
Sick build!!!
Do you think it is possible to so this swap on jack stands? I don't have a lift in my garage and really want to tackle this over the winter.

The inline 6 it replaced is a long motor anyway. Not a problem.
Wow!
This is really cool
Nice job man
Heck ya diamondgips
nice swap, do you know if a viper v10 engine can fit in tis bay ?
@@husq_p3nda335 anything can fit with enough work 👀
Well you got me
where the transmission shifter end up ?
@@cookncrack5334 right in the factory location. It’ll be shown in the next video
This looks so good BMW should have made a v8 an option
They did, E9X M3’s, multiple year M5’s, M6’s, M8’s come with V8’s

@@Sfdgarage 😂😂😂 oh no, I’m gonna watch all the parts. I have to now, I can’t start a series and not finish it. So I’ll be here for the long haul.
Afraid to watch this as I’ll be looking for one of these to swap 😮
Before clicking, i told myself to not get any ideas.
The 1-series is butt ugly but a V8 will fix just about anything.
