I bought a Cold Steel Bush Ranger about 2 months ago, not a budget knife but my new hiking knife which to me is the perfect fixed blade for that purpose.
I was never really a knife person...until 5 minutes ago. Man, you make knives look fun and sexy!! I'm still sad about airport security taking away my Swiss Army knife that I forgot was in the bottom of my bag. It was so small and went with me on both my PCT thru-hikes. Stupid me forgot it was in my bag. Excuse me while I go place an order for the Buck Rival III.YEE HAW COWBOY!!!
I'm kind of a Gerber and Kershaw fan given that both of their factories are close to where I live. Knives are one of the things where cost can matter. The difference between a $10 and a$100 t-shirt? Nothing worth mentioning. The same range in knives makes all the difference in the world. Thanks for the fun videos.
Oh yeah I love Gerber. I have a Highbrow. I was toying with doing an honorable mention in this video and including the Highbrow, but really wanted to keep it at just three knifes! If I do another pocket knife video Ill for sure include a Gerber. (=
Buck is an all time classic, can't go wrong there. Rei has quality knives, however I have been a Gerber fan when it comes to knives. They hit most price points to.
@@dyanacarmella1379 you do have an eye for knives. Do you have anything spring assisted? Those are nice in a one-handed pinch, like when the salami will roll in the dirt if you let go.
So refreshing 🤠 I found your channel following thru hiking videos. Most of them always say you don’t really need a knife or they have a tiny 1 inch Swiss army mini knife ( that I do also have)! But I carry my Buck 4” blade in mossy oak blaze orange camo everywhere, even hiking . It’s total length is 8 3/4 inches 😉 Enjoyed your crazy Tahoe rim trip. You and Starburst were pretty wild 😂
Thank you Joseph! Ahh yes, I know the knife you speak of! That's pretty flashy! Haha. Yeah me and Starburst had a good time on the Tahoe Rim Trail. What a wild adventure. (=
Good start to a new year :o) I have a few survival / bushcraft knives for camping in my bug-out bag and in the door pockets of my Jeep and pickup and one of them is just like that Huskey (my least favorite) :o) but for backpacking I have a little Smith & Wesson CKLPB 5.3in that weighs in at just 0.875 oz. Haha what Rockytop Wrangler said.
... Hangin' out with you ,, I see a guy better be " on edge" (s) ..... nice to see you get a video to the point ..... ..would love to spend time with you in a gear shop ,, or a gun store ..!! .....Love your personality !!.. a little scary... but none the less... .. probably cuts a birthday cake with a Rambo knife...🗡🗡
Bahahaha! Okay Rockytop Wrangler I had a list of knife puns ready. But for some odd reason unknown to man, I decided not to include them. I have a feeling this will haunt me for the rest of my life. Thank you this. Hahaha.
..the reason certainly unknown to man ,,would have to be your own ,, don't think there's any man that would attempt to sway your plans.. ....at least if he knows what's good for him ...........you own a box of knives... ( remember Lorena Bobbit ??) ..
Ya know, I recorded a few words on the blade steal for each knife, then when I looked back at the footage, I thought the way I said it sounded confusing. So I thought, if viewers wanted the blade steel they can click the link and get the exact specs and information on each website. BUT.... Next knife video I'll make sure to include it!!

I’m 52 and my name is craig lol great review. I love the Rival 2, because it works and if I lose it I don’t care. I use it for around the yard.
The Rival 2 is awesome. (= Yeah its great for backpacking because if you leave it someplace and can't find it, its not the end of the world.

Happy New Year Diana! Love your videos, Hoping you will have another hike and vlog on your calendar for 2021!
Thank you Sarah! I'm hoping to add another hike to the calendar as well! Haha. We will see how all the covid stuff plays out. (=
I could watch this woman explain tooth extractions and be entertained. Happy new year’s Dyanna, I discovered you by the Tahoe Rim thru hike with Jen.
That's the nicest thing anyone has every said to me. Haha! Thanks Dan!

Knife videos! Yeah! And you will do more? Also...wow...I don't think I've ever had a knife as pricey as that Benchmade!
Haha! Yeah that Benchmade comes at a hefty price. I had to do a double take when I saw the price. But it's worth it if you're going to use it.
Love it

great video. I would like to know what kind of torx screwdriver I need to remove the pocket clip from the Husky knife from your video?
Benchmade makes a nice knife, you should take a look at the ZT640 it has all the sex..
I will check it out!
@Dyana did you cut your left?

With your videos you could sell anti bear spray to a bear
Hahahaha!!!!!! Thank you!!
You never said anything about blade steel, the most important part of the knife.
