The sense of humor really goes a long way and shows a great attitude, sometimes in moments of extreme challenges. I am a JMT / PCT / TRT section hiker and I so hope for the chance to run into folks as fun and energetic as Ms. Dyana out in the wild!
That was fantasticly brilliant. 🤠 other ideas....Flashing for a stove wind screen.... reflectix and tape for diy hot pot cozies... Tarps for shelters/shade... you're on it like blue bonnet! Rock on!

I literally spent the weekend at Home Depot (not the whole weekend) looking around thinking, damn, there's some good gear for backpacking here. A nice Milwaukee headlamp 350 lumens! Micro fiber towels, etc. Then this video shows up. Well done, Keep it up!

They have good multitools there. Leatherman REV for $40 and Gerber NXT for $30, but around Xmas the Gerber goes for $25. Occasionally sell Energized tactical 300 lumen flashlights for $9.99 And I've bought a tons of medium and large PLANO sportsman's trunks for under $20. You can use that to store your gear at home or in your car trunk/ truck bed when your out in the shit.
*ENERGIZER brand tactical flashlights I also bought a ridiculous amount of Dyanas gloves in brown when they were on clearance to use as tactical gloves for firearms training.
Sooo, yes. I walked right by them.. but they only had the really big ones. Like the ones that were 50FT long. So I decided not to mention it. I should have put them in the honorable mention section. Damn.
Your instincts are really smart. As to the blue microfiber towel, it will work but DO NOT drop it on the ground... everything sticks to it. I dropped one once and it had so many dead leaves stuck to it, I had to throw it away. You could not pull them off. The Sham-Wow type of towels might make a better backpacking towel. You should do a similar video for Dollar Tree-- they sell the Sham-Wow knock-off towels. Also, 5' x 7' lightweight blue tarps. Food, lots of other great ideas. Go look. Oh, and my fave glove for the trail are the stretchy nylon gloves with the palms covered in lightweight rubber/nitrile. I wear them over fleece gloves if really cold. They let you grip rocks, grip your camera controls while hiking, etc. And Dollar Tree sells those too.

Hey Dyana, firstly I have to say I am loving this. Finally someone comes out and says you don’t need to spend insane amounts of money to enjoy the outdoors. Question, did they have any shower curtains? I am thinking use it instead of a tent ... Grandma Gatewood style!
Don't use such a heavy duty sponge for your coated pots as it will scratch the coating and release some heavy metals in the water or food you're cooking.

Ha! Thanks Lucie! They do have shower curtains but I would go with a tarp over that. Home Depot had a ton of tarp options.They are more durable.
