I've been a big time gate swinger opener. Its only this season I've come to start understanding what you're saying. Super over rotator and fall forwarder trying to reform😅 Stay closed, stay tight, stay back, i must think every throw. 20 years of muscle memory for doing it wrong
So I try to explain to my self as a beginner - lead with the hips) like waffle ball my rotation is first engaging the top of my left thigh, which engages my hips which pulls my torso followed by my arms - however throw righty and batted righty, so it took almost a year to really train the other side of my body to throw a righthand backhand (develop muscle memory, quick twitch top of right thigh) - i was already doing this correctly for turn over shots that always went much further than straight shots. Explaining the disc as a pull motion gives a new person the impression that some how you are pulling your arm and your hips somehow match up as it goes by; i believe my development would have been faster if I just trained to fling lefty embracing my lifelong left thigh twitch from swinging a bat , that left arm is already noodly if I walk through a left hand back hand ..... food for thought
I’m not an expert, I’m learning too. Also I know this comment is a year old but just incase someone else needs to know : another video explained that you basically just drive your elbow. So If you put your arm in front of your torso and bend your elbow at 90 degrees that’s kind of the motion I guess. Don’t over think it, you’re just using your elbow to drive it, as if you’re literally throwing an elbow. But you’re aiming with your shoulder. So point your shoulder and bring the disc across your chest, driving with the elbow and release.

Thanks for the advice, I will try to implement more forward motion and less early rotation into my form. Makes a lot of sense!
thanks for the baseball tips.
Somebody translate for the slow guy.
brother this is genius, about to try this on volleyball tech

How about fore hand?
That beard is majestic. Good advice too.
Thanks for both compliments!
All of his authority is derived from his beard.
