Good video Brian! And this shows what I always explain to my viewers: even brand new cars are never really new when you take delivery from the car dealership. People must never forget that vehicles are sometimes spot corrected at the factory for minor defects, which can leave buffer trails and holograms. Then they are transported by truck, train, boat, which means they're exposed to the elements, brake dust, industrial fallout, etc. They are left at boat docks or in dealership parking lots for weeks, sometimes months. And 99% of the time, dealership do a horrible job of prepping vehicles (as is evident from your video) as they leave sticker glue residue, they scratch the paint further from poor washing and drying techniques, they use the same dirty soap in the bucket that they used for 20 other cars that day, etc. So you absolutely need to fully detail a vehicle as soon as you take delivery from the dealership. A proper detail will not only make the car look better, but it will start protecting it right away and it will continue to look good for years down the road. :)
That is it. You convinced me to buy a polisher. I’ll use this kit to remove a few water spots on my challenger. Perfect for minor corrections done by a novice. Stay safe and thanks again.
I bought this yesterday and looking forward to using it. I'm just a beginner so I bought an entry level Dual Action polisher which comes with its own pads. i reckon the pads should be enough to get the job done. I don't need to buy expensive pads just yet as I'm only starting out. Thank you to channels like this that provide us with all the critical information to get our own DIY detailing going. God bless you Sir and have a lovely day ❤
Brian what does it take to get the attention of Toyota and Hyundai to recognize their subpar paint jobs? Secondly, these thin clear coats are gonna cost every consumer in the future. I admire the quality of your work and after hearing Brian at Apex confirm that TW's new product was replacing 3D in his shop because it's cut was just as good and it finished better. He concluded that since he runs a business he needs two things a great product along with a competitive cost. I agreed and ordered everything that day. For me, you just validated Apex's and Pan's conclusions, thank you.
That’s a remarkable transformation. With all the products released recently being of such awesome quality, it makes it difficult for car enthusiasts to decide on what to use. I’m not loyal to any particular manufacturer. Turtle Wax is killing it when they release their products.

Great video brother! Your absolutely right man, not EVERY car is trashed! That thing was terrible for being brand new. That 1 an done did a great job! Nice work Turtle Wax! I'm getting ready to play with them all this weekend!
First time I tried to remove marks from clear coat , I thought the marks was gone after polishing , just to find out they wasn’t after the car was washed , it’s so crucial to remove polish residue with something like carpro eraser to check your work as the residue can mask up marks and swirls and scratches
Great video, Brian! I really love how Turtle Wax has stepped up their game for the weekend detailers out there. Glad you had a good experience with this - I will definitely be trying this one out once we get through winter here in NY.
Nice video Brian. I believe the majority of what you were showing us in the start, were edge lines and adhesive residue remaining from the wrap guard they put on the vehicle for shipping. My Toyota was the same. Toyota even has service bulletins to address the wrap guard. Still no excuse for the dealer detailing team to ignore. Great content as usual. I think I'm sold on " one and done" Keep up the great work and detail.
Amazed but not surprised the vehicle was released to the customer like this lol.. I also have the same products on order. Excellent turnaround on the SUV fab. Great paint enhancement with almost no clear coat removal. 👍👍l
Great review! I do a panel wipe every time I’m doing multiple test spots. Polishing oils definitely fill. I saw you panel prep one time, but I do it every time. 😁
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing my point is, if you don’t do it on camera, you’re not showing the true results of the product. Especially, if you’re working on black paint. 99% of the time, polishing oils will mask micro marring/haze and even somewhat deeper defects.

Brian, Merry Christmas from the Hartland. Thanks for showing us the new Turtle Wax 1 & Done. Looking forward on using the new TW graphene products in the near future. I am curious how long the new products will last? What does TW boast on longevity?
Merry Christmas to you too! I haven’t used the other products yet but they don’t give a longevity claim on the bottles. I’m thinking somewhere around a year.
@@FABAutomotiveDetailing TW has changed their focus from talking durability to one of maintenance. That's the right move in my book because TW is already famous for durability. With the new focus on maintenance, people will benefit by using toppers more often allowing their ride to look better on a weekly basis. @@nicksdragon6929 very good point. I believe the durability aspect is of course important - to a certain degree... Most of the imperfections were either smudges or really fine scratches so fixing them wasn’t difficult at all. I used the orange pads for correcting the roof and that spot on the hood which is a middle of the road aggressive pad. Thank you
Hey Brian what is with the cloudy clear coat on this car and what color and model of Toyota that had the same problem? The dealer should pay half your bill for the correction of crappy new car prep.
I’m not sure I think it’s because they are using cheaper water base paints now due to regulations. It was a 2021 Toyota Tacoma I did in the new Turtle Wax Seal N Shine video I did a few weeks ago.

Thanks we had a great Christmas! Yes you can use it by hand and if they are light then this should work fine with a medium aggressive pad. You are welcome!
I used the One and Done yesterday on my car; using the 50/50 microfiber pad first (4 dots on the pad) and then used the black foam pad (4 dots on the pad). I tapped the pad over the area to be done, started the machine out at a 1 speed (using a Porter Cable machine) and then switched to 4 speed in a cross hatch; doing this way with the 50/50 pad. Then when using the black foam pad, I also tapped the pad over the area, started out with a 1 speed to spread, then changed to a 3 speed in a cross hatch. I noticed that with each pad and application, it was harder and longer to remove the compound; I had to use all three microfiber towels; and it wasn’t very translucent. What did I do wrong?
I’m not sure why it did that to you! I have o my used it this one time because this was my last detail before winter. I have seen other videos where they used a damp towel to help remove the polish. Maybe try that and see if it helps.

Great job Brian amazing how they let a new car leave a dealership in that state. My Brother just purchased a new Black Mazda cx30 the paint was a mess just like that Hyundai was in tape residue everywhere I spend 3 hours on it the used griots finishing sealant on it then a coat of poly wax so he can get through the winter. New cars are allowed one pint of primer one pint of paint and one pint of clear coat don’t know for sure but it sure looks that way. Cheers Happy new year to everyone 👍🏻👍🏻
I bought one and done after seeing the reviews from Apex, it suck!!!!! it is nowhere nearly as good as 3d ONE. I wasted $26.00 and a full day of work, chasing swirls on a black car goin from white ccs pad, to orange ccs, and then 50/50 pad, then I changed compound and voila 2 passes and swirls gone. Before going to 3D ONE, I tried doing smaller areas with more fluid, wasted an entire bottle on one car. I have less than 1/4 bottle left, which I plan on trying on another color car, but I am not holding my breath.
I'm still torn between this and 3d One. I've used 3d Speed and it wipes off very easy. It could be because of the montan wax. Brian from Apex says this One and Done finishes down better than 3d One. What's the easiest wipe off one step (not AIO) polishing compound you've used?
May I suggest using a lightly damped cloth for the initial wipe off with this compound [which i like!] Generally I soak a good microfiber and ring the bejeezus out of it then simply follow up with the dry towel. For me - works gr8 - every time. I use a lot of the newer TW products and the damp towel initial wipe off seems to be the magic Unicorn - no residues and high spots. No big deal - it just works and saves any frustration. Shine on you crazy diamonds!

do you like this a lot?
Don’t worry, we can detect the scratches. What a lousy dealer prep. Unbelievable. And these people still don’t get why we hate car dealers.
Probably some young kid that has to do 20 a day prepping it as fast he can.
Chemical guys VSS
Give me the Turtle Wax One and Done over the entire CG VSS lineup any day.
Quality control on new cars has completely gone to shit. When even high end cars come with defects now, mass produced cars stand no chance
Dude we get it, it's a car with defects. GET TO WORK!!!!!
TW lol
I thought the same thing a couple years ago but they have really started making great products.
Work on cars, clean them missing one thing body repair
No thanks on body repair! 😂 I know some people that do it and they said it’s hard on their bodies.
Wow for new car that is bad
It was but not now! 😃

I'm still torn between this and 3d One. I've used 3d Speed and it wipes off very easy. It could be because of the montan wax. Brian from Apex says this One and Done finishes down better than 3d One. What's the easiest wipe off one step (not AIO) polishing compound you've used?
This is better then 3D One and 3D One wipes off about the same as this. Griots Garage BOSS Polishes all wipe off effortlessly.
I've used 3D One and recently used TW 1 & Done, and the TW product wipes off easier, imo. They're both great products, but I give the edge to TW.
So the Buff and Shine Uro-fiber 50/50 has more cutting (and better finishing) than the Yellow Lake Country CCS pad?
I would h e to say yes but can’t tell you for sure because I have never used the yellow LC pad before.
