Bless you for mentioning vintage Tudor! My father left me his gold Tudor Oyster Prince from the 1950s - amazingly it still runs even though it hasn’t been serviced. I look at it and put it on from time to time when I am missing him particularly, but I wouldn’t wear it out and about because it is just too precious to me. I prefer to wear his Casio A158W that he wore in later years, which also amazingly keeps on working with a new battery! Anyway, just thought Id share some memories of my Dad and some of his watches.
@davidsmithy123 For that price, it is quite ambitious with many varieties. It is neither a Patek Philippe hommage nor the "best" watch in its class. It is iconic in its own right on account of its dial and affordability. A great starter watch.
I visited a friend in Frankfurt this autumn, and had to pop by the Swatch shop. There I met a gentleman double wristing Sinn (in their hometown), and he was buying EVERY SINGLE MOONSWATCH. At once. What a legend. I picked up a Chrono Neon to commemorate the trip.
Another video that I didn’t hate. Well done! 1. Bambino v Presage. Both awesome for the price. I’ve committed to the Cocktail Time, but mad respect for the Bambino. 2. Beaucroft. Thank you for introducing. These look pretty great. 3. Moonswatch. I used to hate, but the latest releases with the clever movements are really cool. Alas, no swatch store close by.
I think Andrew Morgan found definitive proof that only the Smiths went to the summit of Everest: an open letter from Rolex apologizing to Smiths for having incorrectly claimed that it was a Rolex that had made it to the summit.
As a poor college student - I have studied this area extensively. My list on cool budget watches is therefore close to perfect. Top 3 watches with a sporty vibe: 1. Seiko SNKA05K 2. Brew Retromatic 3. Tissot PRX Top 3 classic vintage vibe watches. 1. Vintage Glashütte Spezimatic (Can be found in Good condition on Chrono) 2. Frederique Constant Classics 3. Vintage omega (Can be found surprisingly cheap! Universal relaxed and cool: Casio in various editions
Wait... are YOU the reason I see IWC Porsche commercials every time I'm on TH-cam?!?! ....i assumed it was Teddy..... Seriously though, great list. Much appreciated. I feel my innocent little crush on the Beaucrofts has been validated.
HEy Gringa! if u are really getting an alpinist, make a review video of the unclestraps bracelets as well in one if you can, the jubilee is amazing! i wear mine as my daily on that, absolutely love it
I have a Moonswatch Aurora and a Tudor Oyster princess date 28 with silver dial that I got for a great price and I just started bying watches just a few months ago. I realy like them 😊 I realy like the small JLC reverso monoface (lady?) With blue croc bracelet... I only wish that one with the moonface and blue aventurin dial would exist in monoface... then I would have something to dream about 😅
IT'S YOUR FAULT yes YOUR FAULT i bought a moonswatch polar lights, after years of mocking n ridiculing the swoonmatch, saw yours and ended up buying it, damn it. Wouldn't say it looks expensive but its fun, makes me smile (laugh actually, at myself). Love the alpinist, just can't decide which colour, green, champagne, green, champa...😫. Couple i think you should have included CW sealander , the ultimate one watch and the smiths transglobal, those dials😍 (hassle getting one n dealing with owner though). Great video, cheers.
A few weeks back I ran into someone wearing a Moonswatch in a bar. So I started chatting with him and he went to use the chronograph and the pusher popped off. True story 😅You can really tell where the 500$ he spent on it went Absolutely Nowhere
Great list 👍 I am currently waiting for my Noah X Timex Moon Phase Watch 😍 ….. that will be shipped in late 2025 (yes, that is not a typo ….. 2025 😅😂).
A 36mm Gentleman- yes . Add a silver dial option ( and does one have a cross-hair spoiling its dial ?) The Beaucroft - a contender instead if a Traska Commuter? Ah, not in 36mm or 34mm..shame as they're local to me... Saw the PRX in both sizes recently - 1 one too small; the other, too large?!...( is it me?).
i believe that there is nothing in this world that can look more expensive than what it may worth . it could be of slightly better quality or having a better design than other things at the same price range .
£6,600 for the Hesalite Speedmaster. I’ve just bought one. I figured it’s going to be 10k soon. And that’s ‘another level’ of disapproval from my wife. A note to everyone; based on my experience… Don’t think buying a Moonswatch will ‘scratch that itch’ - it won’t!
How about the Erebus Ascent? I'd love to know what you think of a watch designed and sold by a fellow watch content creator, Jody of "Just One More Watch".
I would add two.. 1 - Orient Kamasu, for $200 you can get reliable in house movement with hacking and hand winding, 200m WR, sapphire crystal.. 2- Tissot seastar quartz , +/-10 sec a year in like grand Seiko level, 300m WR and of course sapphire crystal.. for $300-$400
Britt, thanks so much for this video! I like watches of all price tiers, but quite honestly, this price point is where I live due to my finances. I’m very appreciative that you aren’t snobbish about this price category. Smith’s is a brand that I’d like to try. Watch collecting should be fun and you definitely seem to have fun with your videos. Your baby is adorable! Thanks for sharing this video!
Any points for being First? And yes, it's time to get that Bambino. I got it after my DateJust and Santos and it has gotten a lot of wrist time since I got it over the other two icons. The Bambino is clean and beautiful to look at.
IFL! €1100 for a quartz! Sponsored? It's like you have a poster, with the word "CREDIBILITY" on it, and some half wit is painting on the banner, gradually covering the message. MoonSwatch?????? WTFeck!
The Bambino date complication is a hideous afterthought. It's disgusting. And it's a dess watch so why is it there in the first place? I hope this is not 10 of the most hackneyed watch recommendations ever.
The pastel pink Bambino on the bracelet is 🤌. In my personal opinion the darker colors just don't work as well on it and you could buy the watch shop's whole inventory of them rather than a GS Shunbun :D. I want the Shunbun :D. Never gonna buy it, hell nah, but damn I like it. The bright light blue sunburst on the Citizen Tsuyosa looks INCREDIBLE btw if you love light colors on watch dials like me.
10 Expensive watches that look cheap next? 😁

The mechanism on the Orient Bambino runs so well.
My Omega and Longines have less accuracy than my Bambino.
Yeah. Orient movements are insanely good in my experience.
Bambino is just a bit bland. Lets Think outside the box!

The Smiths Everest is super nice. The owner is a super doucher tho. The process of buying that watch is truly maddening.

You can find the 38mm Certain DS Action Diver pretty easily for under $100 USD
I like to add pre Invicta Glycine the Combat sub Valjoux 7750 chronographs are awesome 👌along with the divers
Having picked up a 2010s era Tag Heuer Aquaracer this year: it's startlingly good build quality and modestly priced.
What an addorable baby, how could someone not like the video.

I recently got the Smiths Everest Honeycomb guess this will be on my wrist a long time. Great collection of watches Gringa 👍
Hoping to get the murph soon. Looking forward to your review!
Adding some JDM-but-easy-to-buy models that are quite beautiful and relatively inexpensive: Citizen NB1060 and NB1050, Seiko SACM150 and SACM171.
Seems like whatever watch I choose for the day a video will pop up w/ it in. Today is the Seiko Persage,my first mechanical watch.
I would have added the Christopher Ward Sealander, they start at $810
Congrats on the baby britt!

Amazing value ($306 right now) in almost any color you could want. My favorite purchase of 2024.
Aurora borealis?? At this time of year, and localized to that specific watch dial???
i agree on lots of things, but... the moonswatch is NOT awesome
I kinda thought you were from BC. I grew up in Saskatchewan and we saw Northern Lights all the time. Completely awesome each time too.
Moonswatch? Really?
4:59 Can someone tell me which Tissot Gentlemen is 42mm? I only know them to be 40mm.
Yes, as far as I know, it's only in 40mm
