  • Massage therapy is an effective treatment for Biceps Tendonitis and can help reduce pain, increase flexibility, and improve overall function. Massage has been proven to be an effective treatment option for biceps tendinopathy because it helps reduce tension in the muscle fibers surrounding the injured tendon. It can also improve circulation which helps reduce inflammation and promotes healing. can also improve circulation which helps reduce inflammation and promotes healing. Additionally, massage techniques such as myofascial release can help restore the range of motion and reduce scar tissue buildup around the affected area. Finally, regular massage sessions can help strengthen weak muscles and decrease tightness in other areas of your body that may be contributing to your injury.

    Thank you for this. I’m using this along with your other video about self-massage for bicep tendinitis and though this is the first time I’ve done it, it’s already quite relieving for both arms. Thank you!

      If you are receiving a 1 hour massage; only 1 time a week. If you are doing 30-45 minutes; 2-3 times a week. If 10-15 min you can do it daily.

    Can you use heat or infrared mat before or after this

    • @MotionRestoration
      @MotionRestoration  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It works best before massage. Heat/infrared will help to bring circulation, relax the muscles and make it easier to massage.

    I just had shoulder surgery with a bicep tenodisis. Very tight and cramped. Would this be ok to do?

      Thank you for your comment, yes this can definitely help. You should wait until after you have been cleared by your doctor for treatment (usually at 6 weeks). You can start off light and get deeper into the tendon further on into your recovery.
