      Dear Dr Michael
I had sepsis, 3 toes removed,, big to muddle, achilles tendon adjustment.
I was in a cast for 2 months and found it to be extremely difficult to walk properly afterwards as foot pointed at 45 degrees.
I find your videos to be extremely helpful.
Can you please do a therapy video to address getting back to walking again.
I'm doing the weighted calf raises, (500 to 1000 a day) lots of walking, kettlebell clean and jerks, eventually, it is only cycling which is restoring my ability to walk with toes pointing forwards.
      Best regards

    Hello Doctor
I'm a dancer and last year in the middle of May, my left ankle suddenly felt sore and in pain, so as usual I ignored it, until it came to a place where I couldn't even dance and wear heels anymore and it caused so much pain. After many consultations and MRI's it turned out my ankle had an inflammation and whichever physiotherapist I went to and many doctors nothing really helped to get ride of the pain fully, until a year later I found your video, and you have no idea how much this helped. I've been doing it everyday now and my ankle feels so much better. So thank you so much doctor for sharing this video and your knowledge with us🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰

Worked so well...Thankyou Dr Rowe! Ive been hobbling around for 10 days with this. Always worse getting out of bed in mornings (ouch) or getting up from sitting.
    Youre a gem!
My body "packed up" after my husband passed suddenly (unvaxxed friends, he had heart failure) - first my hip, then behind knee, then both archilles. My magnesium levels had dropped badly through extreme stress and grief, putting huge tension on my tendons due to muscle contraction. (Now rectified...)
Your wonderful advice has been a huge help!!

Thanks man. I got all kinds of crap going on with my health. So when I hurt my Achilles I sort of ignored it, hoping it’d go away. After 6 months it did to a degree. But now I’ve got a golf ball full of scar tissue. You explained it really well. I do basic well. And when I saw the thumbnail of the desert spoon, I thought this might be interesting. I’ve only done a week of the pinch and pull method (and towards the end of the week I could feel a bit more flexibility, especially in the mornings!🥶) I do it in the shower (seated, of course). I’m going to give the spoon a go next week. Slow and steady wins the race as the saying goes. Thanks again. 👍

Go and see a good sports physio for calf loading exercises. It will restore the tendon. The fibres need to be realigned. Thats why you have the painful bump. My Achilles went back to normal. Also check your footwear if your tendonitis is caused by over pronation you need a stability running shoe if it is caused by running with the wrong shoe. A gait analysis will show you what is actually going on.

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately the lump is still excruciating. They say the tendon can thicken as we get older, perhaps that's what is happening to mine (I am 62). It is the hardest of lumps and the mornings are horrible. No massage or exercises have touches it. It loosens a litte in the day but I am always aware of it. I saw a physio, four sessions, who used a sound gun/instrument. Good for a few hours then back comes the lump. I have a massage machine, a tens machine, good fitting trainers and try all the advice on eccentric stretching which does relieve it in the morning. Apparently PRP treatment and shockwave therapy can help, outside of surgery (of which I am wary of poor outcomes) I feel I have to live with this. Sore to touch, pulses at night and is restrictively rock hard in the mornings. I hope others on this site are coping, any changes I will report. I recently had a hip replacement, however hard the rehab', I am improving every day, it is nothing compared with this tendonopathy.

Thank you so much! I was born with short Achilles tendons (which was remedied by being in set casts for 6 months as a very young child) and have recently taken up golf at 36. It’s been pulling on my Achilles and they have become very sore to the touch. I had instant relief after watching this video and applying the techniques mentioned (especially the massage), amazing stuff! ❤

I've not had any issues with my Achilles since. The key to rubbing this area out is to find a slave or cream which will stay fluid and not absorb into the skin quickly while working the affected area.

Thank you, following an hour walk yesterday, woke up and my heel was killing me. I have suffered with Achilles tendinitis now on and off for 9 months. I followed the massage exercises and stretches, for approximately 15 minutes and the pain has gone away, given me instant relief. I will be doing this everyday now, thank you. Any tips regarding exercising please?

    Dear Dr Michael.
I really get so much benefit from your videos.
I had sepsis, middle toe gone to ankle and toes 1 and 2 osteomyelitis and achilles tendon adjustment in Jan 2023.
I'm finding really difficult to get achilles tendon working well again.
Can you please do a video on exercises for achilles tendon post operation recovery.
    Best regards Seamus

I'm in pain and so worried right now. Tuesday morning I woke up and my Achilles was in pain but I didn't think much of it. Wednesday morning more pain and even less mobility. My work week starts tomorrow on Thursday I'm very frightened. This came out of no where. I'm scared to go to a doctor and I'm scared of reading that tendonitis can last for months. It's not bad enough I can't walk but its enough that it bothers me when I'm not moving. It seems to get a little less worse when I actually move around on it. The only thing I can think might have initiated this me kicking a tire to get it unstuck from a car Monday night. Man I pray this goes away soon or that some of this helps. I'm scared it so tender touching it hurts excruiatingly.

Thank you thank you thank. I just asked you if you had something for this in your PF video. But I found this. The spoon is magic. I went to podiatrist last Friday, he said I needed to buy inserts and different shoes. And just stretch. Well I feel like it's gotten worse. But just doing what u said, helped alot. Past 2 days I've barely been able to walk. In just 30 seconds 😆 I did get some release. Thank you so much.❤

My pain is a little lower down on the back of my heel. Below the level of my ankle.
    Is that still the Achilles?
The pain is excruciating. Worse in the morning.
I haven't injured it. It just came on suddenly. I had a slight pain in the day, then after I slept and woke up the next morning I was in agony.

I also have a bone spur on the back of my heel that hurts so bad!! Do you have a video for bone spurs on the back of the heel? I also have something called dorsal calyx enthesophyte. An xray showed all this. Had an mri done of my foot yesterday. I don't have the results yet.

Thx. I was attracted to the podcast because you said 9 minutes or something to that effect and I thought you I've got that time. I had broken my fourth toe on my right foot thr day before I left for my vacation to Chicago. In Chicago I took daily tours and they walk extremely fast in Chicago & the sidewalks r full of cracks and holes because I don't think they've been repaired for 200 years. The right toe was hurting but what could I do? I wore my Birkenstocks so I'd have a very flat shoe but unfortunately that resulted in me hitting a crack-- when I wasn't totally looking down-- and I fell flat on my face. I actually kept my face elevated but my elbow; my knee; and my hand took a blow on the left side. That pain superseded the pain in my right broken toe and so I paid very little attention to that foot in my need to walk very quickly on these daily tours to see the city of Chicago. Needless to say the pain slowly abated in my left knee & my left elbow it moved to the cartilage surrounding my left rib resulting in costochondritis which was my diagnosis. had actually made a similar diagnosis a year ago when I strained that area when gardening and stretching in too hard and too far. I had what I determine was costochondritis although my primary care doctor had NO idea it took me telling a second doctor my diagnosis before he concurred. So I'm pretty sure I'm spot on.
I realize you're not discussing that aspect of the body but I only mention that because that pain superseded my toe pain. It by then
had abated but it had moved to the back of my heel. After watching a podcast prior to yours I realized it was NOT bursitis of the heel but it was achilles tendonitis. I believe-- because I had to walk funny due to the toe hurting-- I had developed achilles tendonitis.
Your exercises I have begun and I'm already feeling relief which is good because my doctors do NOT have a clue and there is NO podiatrist at my hospital in my teeny Texas town. I'd begun to think that pain --which seemed to have no cause other than what I just relayed to you-- resultedcin the tendon being aggravated and inflamed.
I now realize I can heal it.Thank you from the bottom of my ❤️
