That this man hasn't been given the official awards he deserves,for his contribution to rock-'n'-roll is a great injustice,which needs to be put right. He well merits a niche in the Hall of Fame,long overdue.
Saw Stray Cats(once) in a kinda a lame, record company-driven "reunion" but Brian still had the fire. Luckily, later I saw him solo(twice) in his big band music gig(if you can call the vocalist in front of 18 guys SOLO), Setzer is one of the greats..
Incredibly incredibly amazing Dave Edmunds and his protege not to mention the immortal Mickey Gee. Brian setzer's.. did I spell that right? Whatever his vocal is fantastic... up in far north Canada we didn't have him TV in those years. Saw Dave Edmunds live a few times they also saw the Stray Cats once. They were a very cool band but I didn't like the scaled-down drums. But that's just a personal choice any have this video is amazing I wish I would have seen it in his life.
Realy not as good as Ricky Nelsons version his was raw rockabilly this is all fuzzed and crancked up sounds like an ac dc version and I was that 80s rockabilly and still am.. At least Nelsons version you can hear that slap bass in that video nothing to be heard all guitar guitar guitar. That's not what a song and band are all about. Mr Johnny /Brian 100 notes lol No wonder they split up he's better off playing with his big band and Lee rocker was a far better singer.. And saw him live a few times his band are more appealing to the ears and a wider audience may be you should play the 2 song on your record player or cd player back to back then comment lol
