Albert Lee, total genius. I saw him a few years ago and he was by some distance the best guitar player I've ever seen, and a lovely, self-effacing gentleman with it.
He was here in Sweden playin in a small shack a some a years ago. He was my Idol and such a humble great guy! He sat at the entrence with his whife after the show and talked to everyone who wanted to share some words! I’ve got a poster signed aswell🙂
If you are going to throw a small party for some friends and want a band. Try to get Dave as a singer and Albert Lee as the lead guitar player. Should be some party
@@389383 Yes, same here. He's kind of dressed similarly to Huey so I thought maybe he was in HL's band. But I checked...and nope. But I'll tell you this: I'd have loved to have been there to see Albert Lee working through the solo to get to the final product. And FWIW, it looks like he's wearing a Texas Ranger's star on his jacket
Love this song, Dave and Albert Lee. But can someone please explain the “Lorna Doone” reference? What does a romantic novel from the 1800s have to do with someone taking him up to her room?
Albert Lee solos are my go to default setting when I can't take anymore of this bullshit woke crap world and so i just drift away in a fug of smoke beer and real talent from all these guys then watch as they in turn look in amazement at this genius ! Ahhhhhhhh Bliss !
Dave Edmunds himself was a great rock and blues guitarist but his appreciation of the talent of Albert Lee was written all over his face.
Nick Lowe, completely overawed, to Albert Lee: "Well you've obviously read my little pamphlet on guitar playing." - Awesome!

Blistering performances, ... and Nick Lowe had it wrong.... the lyrics were superb !
I saw Graham Parker in the background. He looks like 😮Roberto Benigni from Life is Beautiful.
Was that Huey Lewis at the desk?
Huey Lewis is there too.

Is that Phil Lynott at 2:17 ?
Believe so. Playing air guitar accompaniment.
Graham Parker, Huey Lewis, and others.....
Did I see Huey Lewis? Minutes 1:14 to 1:21
Edmunds tongue was out of his mouth durings Lee's solo...all the gang was there now how come no one called EC to come to the video shoot???

And yet Albert hasn’t made a single quality album.
Au contraire! "Albert Lee", produced by Rodney Crowell. How about, "Heads, Hands, and Feet". Oh my!
