This is what I do every new playthrough of Shadow Of The Collossus! It's so fun trying to find alternate ways to beat them! I really enjoy trying to find different ways every playthrough, and sometimes you have to get super creative.
I've done a few of those, theyre real fun! I can Stab Avions right wing, and when it twists in the air, let go and fall right onto the other wing, then onto the tail! Its really fun to do!
Wow! This video reminds me of Baxtertimewell's videos back in the early days (circa 2007). However, you have found new ways to climb the colossi that I had never seen before - great work my friend! I especially liked how you could stab the #9th colossus head before it even had a chance to stand upright! Some of the others I had seen speed runners do before. Why did you end the video on the #15th boss?
I found all these myself; if there were any I missed it's because I didn't discover them. Since making this video I've seen a lot of new ones by speedrunners but this video is just a little time capsule of when I was experimenting and finding my own tricks.
I didn't know any tricks for the 16th boss, I now know about the trick where you can run straight to them but that's not exactly a climbing trick. I'm sure there's other ones but to be honest number 16 is kind of annoying to get to the part where you're climbing them so I didn't experiment much with it.
4:06 and 6:04 I don't know if the bonus modes add weak points - never got around to doing them - but I had _no idea_ those ones existed. At the very least I have no memory of them.

The one with the club Quadratus (#2) on it's left side of the body Gaius (#3) shown in the video Phaedra (#4) as bentheechidna stated Barba (#6) shown in the video Argus (#15) on it's chest far left

I don't remember LMAO I think you can either run along the top of its head or make a leap of faith I remember it being really difficult and taking several tries, it's REAL easy to fall off up there
It really isn't lol, the only reason I didn't include the sword launch jump in the video is because, in the PS4 version, I straight up can't do it. It requires 3 perfectly timed jumps to "dodge" the frames where the sword makes you stumble, and even once you do that, whether or not you land on the head is still luck. Said stumble frames don't happen in the PS2 version so there it's way easier.
For gaius something else that you can do is climb on his sword arm and wait for him to shake his arm and right before he starts to move the sword down you can jump and go right on top of the wrist guard
I think most of them, yeah. There's gotta be reasons that there are so many ridges and fur in places where they don't need to be for the normal route. Some of the routes are DEFINITELY on purpose, seeing how they're necessary to beat the time trails (the horse's route is an example of one like this).
On the second boss if you wait on one of its shoulder bones and if shakes its body (and you have some decent control) you can hop right into its back and skip climbing its side. You can do the same thing with the turtle.
Yeah, that's one of the coolest things about this game, everything that looks like a ledge can me used as one and often that entails all sorts of alternate methods for defeating them than the "intended" one.

indeed these were some cunning stunts. avion is always breathtaking, as little as i care for that colossi personally. and how did that Phalanx "balancing" workout so well? that Basaran climb was sic too... i can imagine the frustration with that bastard's backside and not syncing up with your intended route. i think that was PC, right?

I certainly wouldn't call myself having "godly" timing and precision. Before christmas vacation I was struggling in Guilty Gear Strive to meaty opponents on wakeup with faust's close slash which has 6 active frames which means I was missing my window by at least 1/10th of a second, and this is AFTER practicing. My sense of timing is TERRIBLE. Most of the things in this video are easier than they look.

@@HelixSnake you can play the whole game with the filters offered in photo mode. Based on the brightness and low contrast of the video, i tought you were using the faded one. Is the one that looks the most like the original PS2 game aesthetics.
Camad203 Honestly if you'e already seen a ton of the game it may not be worth it. Ultimately Shadow of the Collossus is a game of spectacle and if you've heard the music, seen the fights, and seen the landscape it's really going to lose that "wow" factor. That being said, you should still pick it up if you can find it for cheap enough or if you're a huge fan of melancholy broken up by epic set pieces.
Oh and the game is really a puzzle in disguise and this video has a bunch of solutions lol. A big part of the draw is seeing these enemies and thinking "how in the actual fuck am i supposed to fight that"
I want you to take a scooter in smo on top of the building to the left of the entrance by bouncing on the taxi, driving up the stairs and jumping on the box and get on the water tower thing, it's a little glitchy and I messed with it for a while and got nothing, but your helix
Love the video....but I have a challenge for you... I want you to head back into mario odyssey and do the minimum cap throw run. One of the hardest and must logical thinking challenge in super mario odyssey. You must remember where you can find moons without a cap throw and determine if u must do a capture or a skip thinking which requires less throws. You must have incredible memory. I think it would make a great stream

You also earn a trophy for climbing Gaius without breaking his armor.
It is possible with a small chance to jump on the 3rd collosus Sword when stuck in ground and when taken out of ground fling you up to its upper body.
It is I've done it before it's kind of tricky though because he brings his sword up really fast
If you haven't by now, I'd highly recommend the speedrun.

The game devs think of everything.
You have to think about it this way: if it's a climbable surface, they know it's climbable and tested for it.
