Yep, got the same in 2010 when TH-cam showed me Nerve - Jabon.
I found JOJO MAYER w/NERVE a week ago !!!! I'm totally appreciating this group of authentic originals. The musicianship is outstanding. It's now become a bonafide obsession !!!

One of the only drummers who can tell a story by playing. Also, never heard a drummer so tight. Terryfingly beautiful.
As a bassist, Jojo Mayer inspires me more than any other musician.
Not to mention all three of the bass players he played with in nerve, John Davis, Tim lefebvre, and Janek Gwizdala are all great, and all credit him as being a big influence

Holy moly omg best band ever. Jojo's tempo changes during improv is god like. I am not worthy.

What an interesting band concept. Keyboard, bass and drums seems so incomplete without at least a guitar added to the mix, but it totally works out here. Very interesting songs that never seem to get boring. It reminds me of some pieces from Nine Inch Nails or Aphex Twin.
I also like to see younger artists play together with older artists. I think so many bands could use some experience or modern influences. Something that only comes with an old or a young band member.
Absolute mastery all around. Brilliant players.
Gives me chills listening to these guys.

It's definitely a lot to internalize. Technical yet perfect pocket . Lot to piece together remember everything. They have stuff programmed/ samples/ computer , but a lot to put together. Impressive!

Actually if anyone noticed - one of the rarest moments when the replaced musician fits extremely well without ruining known sound of the band.

Unique! Lots of rhythms but in an organic way. Jojo has developed a very interesting mix of patterns and improvisation, groove and beauty.
