This was such a great show! I was in Miami for another reason and saw the festival being advertised! I was so happy to see Snarky Puppy! Awesome Job guys!! I will never forget it!
Snarky puppy HAVE TO put Elena Pinderhughes on their next record. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a flute solo on a snarky track before (I know Chris Bullock can play flute but I’ve never heard him solo) and this was so good.
M. League's face at the break leading in from 1:19:45--after this gal thoroughly handled Corey Henry's infamous solo, on flute, with this weird/awesome swing feel that Larnell threw in (apparently improvised)--has got be the highest compliment you can receive as a jazz musician. Like: "you're in!" "You killed it!"
Correction! It's Sputz on the skins for this song only, but Larnel is the one w/ the big smile/reaction while watching in the back at 1:16:45 when sputz throws the swing/hip-hop beat curveball. ♥
Here's my theory. These guys are time travelers from the future where supermusicians who are the next evolution of the genepool combining the DNA of Robert Fripp, Al Dimeola, Bootsy Collins. Donald Faegen, Bernie Worrell, Walter Becker, Everyone who has ever played on Steely Dan tracks, Satriani, Vai, Victor Wooten of course, Jaco Pastorius, Everyone who has been part of the (Dixie) Dregs, a liberal sprinkling of King Gizzard zand The Lizard Wizard, etc. etc. you may see where I'm headed with this... need I continue? Our benevolent AI overlords have sent them back from a few hundred years in the future to convey to our feeble minds that there's hope after all. Right? That's my story. Final answer.

Outstanding flute solo. Takes me back to Herbie Mann. Yes, I’m old.
That flute solo in Lingus is something else. Thanks Elena, I loved it ❤️
That flute solo was so funky, I actually teared up a bit. Never realized flute, funk, and a nostalgic composition could take you there, but here I am.
Probobly the best foot work since Herbie Mann.
Elena Pinderhughes is an absolute genious!!
THAT FLAUTIST!!! OMG!!!
Amazing flute solo! What was that? Yeah!!🔥🔥🔥 The band reaction was priceless. They were enjoying so much.
Holy smokes! Thanks for the comment! Glad I stuck around for it! That girl funks the hells out of her flute!

This might be One of the best and most special version of Lingus. Thanks for the upload, made my day !
Sput brings something special to this band, man. I would really love to hear him on another studio recording of theirs.

Ik heb ze live gezien en opgenomen toen ze nog redelijk onbekend waren...
Amazing! Thanks for sharing👌
🙌🙌🙌
Just sick!
They doesn't sound like some years ago... :/ even so, they are one of my favorite music bands :)
🙏🏻
🔥🔥🔥
42:00 But.... but... I've never, ever much cared for brass! What is this witchery?
No Larnell Lewis?
He was in there! 😀 Sput sat in on Lingus, but Larnell played the rest of this show. He had a big solo in Bad Kids to the Back; around ~ 23:39.
🎆🏆🎇
👍👍👌
Bobbi Humphrey
@29:23 oops!!
Michael talks a lot 😂🤣
It's a great band but I think they need an extra keyboardplayer.
At least one more keyboard player definitely needed! 😂😂😂
Shaun :(

Snarky must be paying LArnell well. He's gettin' fat, but still killing it!!
It always shocks me at how noisy and unattentive US audiences are........
