When a company says you can buy a one time license which might be expensive, but I promise you a worth it...then that wins.
The learning curve of Fusion is little easier than After Effects
Consider showing the Fusion standalone when compraing to other software instead of using the Resolev Fusion which is limited in many ways, especially with customization. (Fusion was highly customizable up until V9).
I tried doing multipass comp in AE and that was the last time I touched AE. Once you go nodes, there's no coming back.
The one with perpetual license is better.
What if I use pirate bay
@@heavenlypotnicd
I want to buy Fusion. But I get to the screen find a Reseller... I need help
Fusion learning curve steps goes like 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 then Ll of a sudden 8, 9, 10 and once u master it its tough to go bek. I ve after effects and the free version of Davinci and even though its free the capabilities are amazing
Thank you.. really needed this infor
Thank you for the great comparison! Both take times to master and we can create amazing things with both. In terms of the price, I love the DaVinci Resolve because once the purchase is made, you are the valuable customer for ever. AE on the other hand, once you start to use it, you will always be in debt.
For anyone wondering, there is very little the free version of davinci resolve cant do compared to the paid version. There are no watermarks, free trials, or really any limitations besides the tiny number of missing features that most people will never need
Like camera tracking?
@@dannybcreativeif you need it then just buy it once and be done. Reasonable price too 🤷♂️
As opposed to after affects which has to be paid for with an expensive subscription to access it at all
@@E4S65I own and use Fusion Studio. I was just pointing a significant feature that is missing from the free version of Resolve/Fusion. There are plenty of others as well.
10 bit footage?
Best overview breakdown I have seen. Would love to see a comparison of the same motion graphics project and the same vfx project done in both softwares to get a real side by side comparison of the tools and workflows.
Fusion has been used in 1000s of major hollywood movies and TV shows unlike AE, it's pretty rare to see AE used in pro vfx, for mograph it's a different story.
@rano12321 I agree I am approaching this from a marketing and sales perspective. If you want to convert Adobe users, show how fusion can do what after effects does without creative cloud monthly charge
Great video been waiting for this comparison for so long 🎉🎉
Yeaahhhh! Tks bro! Tks so much !
ae is something like 70 dollars a month
fusion is mostly free and only 200 dollars for life time updates
it also includes the full davinci resolve suite
Lmao it’s like 20. First of all. I pay 24$ a month for the entire creative suite. Including photoshop and Lightroom which I use weekly. And my job credits that 24$ every month 😅. And they give me endless adobe stock assets. Use the software based on your needs especially professional ones.
@@Richard_Leonhow did u get it for this price?
@@sunteem369 thats just the price ive always paid. i got it on a some weird sale and it has stayed that way. after effects is 20$ by it self though last i saw it. if you are a student its $14mo for the entire suite as well
Student license. Which doesn't count.
@@akyhne I don’t have a student account. That 14 a month
fun fact, if you already own resolve you get the standalone fusion free, it auto detects your license and just works if u download it.
It is not fun fact it very valuable fact😊
I recently needed to export a transparent image sequence of keyed footage to use in Unreal Engine. I keyed it using keylight (4k resolution, BRAW) and AE took 8 HOURS to do it. I worked a lot in AE so I never took the time to learn Fusion, but this inspired me to try it, at least for keying. It took 20 minutes to render the keyed 4-minute shot instead of 8 hours. Never keying in AE again.
Thank you very much
Bro... limited plugins for fusions? Heard of reactor?
Contrary to my initial feeling, this video is quite differentiated. Good Job!
I personally prefere the Node-System of Fusion. The layer system of AF was just too confusing for me.
Should compare different layer editors. Like Vegas Effect vs AE.
And whst would be the point of that, in a Fusion vs AE comparison?
I started out compositing in AE once I finally used Fusion, I ditched AE and never looked back. No more AE precomp BS ever again!
If it was not for such a tool as "the greed", which developers of AE included into their program, I would never have switched to Fusion.
what is the actual name of that lock and load effect?
So for a little bit more than a year (14 months) of After Effect subscription ($20.99), you can get a perpetual license of Resolve ($295), which not only contains the concurrent of After Effect (with Resolve Fusion), but also contains the concurrent of Premiere Pro (with Resolve Cut/Edit), the concurrent of an audio software such Logic Pro, Cubase ,Protools (with Resolve Fairlight) and so much more… For me it was a no brainer, I got Resolve Studio and I’m not looking back.
After effect is so slow and using really old way for comping after effect should only used for motion graphic 2d
Where can I download Fusion please?
На официальном сайте blackmagic. Или с торрентов
Blackmagic Design web page.
You should have mentioned STABILITY!!
1:21 motion graphics animation.
Fusion with reactor😍
what is it please ? :)
Third video in a row confusing Resolve Fusion with Fusion Studio. Again: Resolve is a grading and editing package, it has a Fusion tab that allows you to add basic effects and titles. Fusion Studio on the other hand is a full VFX package, it’s the one you are looking for. Resolve Fusion is the diet coke of Fusion Studio. Helloooo?? Why are you pushing the free Resolve so desperately? Most people who follow your channel know the difference.
I think it's just because it's the one everyone has. There must be millions of free tier resolve users and number of fusion studio users is probably in the 10s of 1000s at best. If it were me, I'd make it clear at the top of each video on fusion "There's the one in davinci, that's good but with some limitations and then studio which has more features etc..."
It makes sense in the context of convinving resolve users to make more use of fusion, but not when directly comparing feature sets
@@EightNineOne My point exactly. If he's so hell bent on making these comparison videos, he should do it professionally and make it clear what software he's using and why. Everyone knows that Hollywood-grade post production packages are not free. After Effects is not free either, and it's meant for a very different audience. I don't get it why he's hurting his own credibility.
@@metternich05Wait so the Fusion stuff he showed in this video can't be done in the free version? Of Davinci Resolve 18 I mean.
After effects has some color management issues. Understatement of the decade.
Q: Fusion or AE
Ans: Apple motion
If you are doing nothing but mograph all day and doing advanced mograph then AE is okay but if for VFX or VFX and Mograph, Fusion hands down. Nodes over layers any day of the week.
The ONLY reasons to use AE are:
- Huge amount of tutorials
- Puppet tools
Everything else is doable in fusion. Node based workflow is simply better because you always have the view of everything.
The way to learn: Use some AE tutorial and try to do the exact same thing in fusion. You will learn in no time.
…and Element 3D which is about 8years old ( last updated) but still extremely powerful in my opinion
Both are really confusing for me.. :d
If only fusion is layer base, many would use it.
Come on man what make fusion powerful is his node base
@@AlphaGhoost Well what I mean is many people are used to layer based editing for a long time. That's many people will have a hard time to leave adobe because we can't go back to learning the basics again since we have a lot of pile of works that pays.
After effects crashes a lot and so many annoying errors. Even though what I was doing was not heavy
The one you work faster.
Guess what? Use both!
Fusion or Nuke is for High-level of compositing. Most of the Motion graphics Artists, Freelancers and Indie Filmmakers doesn't need Nuke or fusion. Because it's easy to do in After effects rather than Fusion. With Right Plugins Ae can Competate with Nuke. Plugins like Videocopilot and Redgaint also presets from Envato or videohive makes Works lot Easy. Don't forget about Element3D. Combining those all Plugins, Presets and Scripts. After Effects is Like Super sayan 🤯
AE can't compete with Nuke. The features aren't alone to compete for. It's also the workflow and if you actually wanna compare the features, Fusion and Nuke wins by a mile not to mention and when it comes to workflow the node based workflow is unbeatable for complex composiitng work and AE becomes an absolute mess with hundreds of precomps hidden inside precomps hence pretty much no VFX studio uses AE for VFX. It;s mostly Nuke and Fusion. Fusion is the perfect middle ground for indie studios and freelancers for VFX because of the price and it has both mograph and VFX capabilities, layers don't have enough flexibility to be used in proper VFX workflow. Being easy to use always not an option as being flexible and feature rich is more important for pros.
I have been working with adobe software for over twenty-five years. If I had to give anyone advice.... give up adobe, it's crap. The software from black magic is leagues better than the crashy toys from adobe.
After effects or fusion?
Ans: Nuke🤷♂️
Not with that price tag
Lol too expensive, ie it is a useless software if artist can't afford it.
Nuke is for High-level compositing. Most of the artists and Motion graphics don't need Nuke. Because it's easy to do in After effects rather than Nuke. With Right Plugins Ae can Competate with Nuke. Plugins like Videocopilot and Redgaint also presets from Envato or videohive makes Works lot Easy. Nuke is Different story, We can't compare it with Ae.
@@nsevv none of these softwares are free. But you can use the cracked version.
Its absolutely stable.
@@SkintSNIPER262Just use the cracked vesrion bro.
After effects or fusion
Answer: windows movie maker on windows xp 🤣
