That was a really lovely video to watch - I don’t know how TH-cam recommended your channel but I’m glad they did. Also excited for the dress project !

Thank you, that’s so kind 😊
Me too, I’m starting working on it today!

What a neat idea! And I think they came out lovely. I specifically like how Santa is fully transformed into a lumberjack, but if you know it you can still recognize his origins. Like Santa is doing his side hustle, during the offseason. Regarding the issue with the Dremel, perhaps you know it already, but they do also make shatter proof blades. Those are fiber reinforced, and a bit thicker. Thanks for sharing your projects!

Thank you! I love the idea of him being Santa in the off-season 😄
And my partner told me after the fact that you can buy different blades for different uses which I definitely did not know! I assumed the cutting blade it came with was just THE cutting blade 😅 thanks for the tip, I’ll definitely go blade shopping before I attempt another dremel project

I enjoy your videos. I don’t usually comment, cause I typically watch on my TV, but I wanted to say I enjoy what you do.
Also, winter does not deserve your apologies. Winter should be apologizing. Lol

Thank you, I really appreciate that 🥰
That week was a nightmare, I wouldn’t dare enact its wrath again … unless it’s summer and it’s power means nothing

    😂Love your videos!
That hedgehog is the cutest thing I have ever seen as a figurine! Where on earth did you buy him?! I must have!!
Maybe name him Sebastian? After Radagast's hedgehog from The Hobbit!
I love all of the figurines and I like the lantern as well! I would love a couple lanterns at the entrance to my "Secret Garden" :) Perhaps add a few autumn leaves around the handle or the base?
I also adore Autumn! The crisp air, pumpkin pie, long walks in our 'Mirkwood' with my cat- Mr. Tumnus, candlelit evenings at my desk writing poetry in calligraphy. Ahhh, the air is full of spices and 'tis so comforting to hold a mug of tea in hand and breath in the steam! I feel like Marianne from Sense and Sensibility-
("Oh," cried Marianne, "with what transporting sensation have I formerly seen them fall! How have I delighted, as I walked, to see them driven in showers about me by the wind! What feelings have they, the season, the air altogether inspired! Now there is no one to regard them. They are seen only as a nuisance, swept hastily off, and driven as much as possible from the sight."
"It is not every one," said Elinor, "who has your passion for dead leaves.")
But...I also love Winter. *Collective gasp from Autumn*
The frost surrounds green leaves, then the world is sliver white, milky cold is the air, hot cocoa by a flickering fireplace, a good book in hand while snugged in a blanket.
For me Autumn is my favorite (and always will be), as it is the start of the best seasons! Crisp Autumn, then cold Winter, chased away by the warm Spring with pink blossoms.
Excited for your next video and happy that you will be doing the versatile vintage wardrobe someday!
    Happy sewing!

Thank you! He’s from B&M, think he was about £4 maybe? He’s officially called Sebastian now by the way because that is a great idea!
Also Tolkien, Narnia, Jane Austen, Secret gardens, calligraphy, hot chocolate and a low key dislike of summer all in one comment - where have you been all my life?!
Honestly I do start to accept and like winter after new year, I think the holidays make it too hectic, and I like life slow and quiet 😅

😄Your reply has me grinning so wide!
I agree, I like Winter best in January/February. A couple of Winters ago, we had the most beautiful Winter I have ever seen! It was like I was in a snow globe, there was no separation in color from the ground up to the sky. It was so ethereal...
I love the slow and quiet as well. Which is why my family and I live in the country! Awww, glad you named the adorable hedgehog Sebastian!
A future project of mine is to recreate Queen Susan's dress from Prince Caspian. The dress she wears at the end of the movie. Would be so beautiful to sew!
      As for my Secret Garden....
It was always a dream of mine to have a special place to call my own. When we moved a few years ago, I found the perfect spot on our land for a garden! It is still a work in progress - as I only have a few rose bushes and whatnot - but it is my little haven! (Still need to find a large key to carry in my pocket though!)
      💖
Ps. Did you find a pattern you liked for your corset?

Yes I think it was 2021 or something that the snow was fairytale worthy!
The blue one with the gold edges? That’s one of my dream ones too, Queen Susan was everything to me as a child 😄 I’d love to see how it turns out if you make it!
It must be so nice to live in the country, the secret garden sounds wonderful, I hope I can do something like that one day 🖤
Yes I did! Thank you again for the recommendation. I am completely in over my head with this project but at least my struggle should be entertaining 😂

      My pleasure!
Finished mock up #1 for my corset! The pattern is great and I love that it comes with a pattern for the drawers!
Looking forward to your next video!

I have nothing but admiration for anyone with the patience to do mock ups, how I wish to be that sensible one day 😄 I hope it goes well! (& thank you for the suppliers you sent, I just saw the email this morning!)

Names: Hansel for woodsman, Chestnut for the hedgehog, Bramble for the gnome. 😊

    • @MadameMyriad
      @MadameMyriad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Ooo Hansel, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! And bramble is the cutest name ever 🥹 The hedgehog has already been named Sebastian (after Radagast’s hedgehog from the hobbit) but I think chestnut makes a very cute last name for him 🥰
Actually I think all of their last names are now Chestnut because they all work 😂
