Paul Sawtell's end theme is the most brilliant piece ever written for a television show - especially the first season where they played the longer version.
Love this episode! Good writing, good acting. Love the suspence over who the real bad guy is. And how they were testing the Captain. Need more storylines like this. 😊😊😊😊😊 31:12
Hello... CarolinefmRadio ! I love this serie from my childhood and music too ! Today I have 61 year old and I feel so happy to see it ! Thank you , Daniel.
I have loved Star Trek all my life and devoted to Captain Kirk but you know what I am obsessed with this damn show and I am really thinking it might just be better I certainly enjoy it's very entertaining episodes, and by the way the Captain in this is gorgeous as well!
One of the best shows in the 70s just like the time tunnel 2 fantastic shows and mission impossible and many many more I wish they would do a remake of this show. But it would probably hard to get a good cast thank God you can still get Theas on d.v.d but great stuff for the guy to show theas on TH-cam thank you 😅😅😅😅😅 hope to see 👀 more love ❤️ it 😅😅😅😅 bow Belfast northern Ireland
Good to see an 'Orangeman' here in the threads. IMO, Mission: Impossible was the best, mirroring what the viewers believed US intelligence and covert operations forces were actually capable of doing. Sending my best regards to you and Belfast, George.
I imagine that American tv shows arrived in Ireland sometime after they first appeared in the States because VTTBOTS and The Time Tunnel premiered and ended during the 60s rather than the 70s. In the States, we had the same situation with BBC programming.
I liked this as a kid. But even then it seemed silly because it was so clean and brightly colored with ridiculously high ceilings for a sub. Even Batman seemed more realistic- it at least had some level of grime.
On occasion if I and my youngest sister didn't watch the original run on Sunday afternoon, my family visited my late father sister's family after church and have a dinner of different types depending on the season, then a few hours later, have pie & cake w/ ice cream ( including my Aunt Betty's "signature" neopalitan from the carton) 🎉
Signing Richard Basehart was a major coup for the show. Even David Hedison turned it down initially, but came around when he heard Basehart had been cast. Basehart was arguably the leading Shakespearean actor in America at the time. It would be like casting Laurence Olivier as Dr. Who. Basehart later explained he figured he'd do the show for a few seasons and have enough money banked to do only the roles he really wanted.
That about sums it up, too! I do know Basehart was paid well, and he and Hedison generally had a lot of fun with their situation. Yes, Laurence Olivier, indeed! Of all the Irwin Allen series, Richard Basehart was the finest and most respected actor to star in one of them, easily.
The Flying Sub FS1 (flight deck interior and picture at the Nelson Institute office only seen) and The Futuristic Jet Bandit Attack Bomber along with the Submarines SSRN Seaview and the Test Sub all in the same episode.
It may drive you nuts, but that beep beep beep background sound of the submarine, was the signature sound of the Sea view. Voyage of the bottom of the sea would not quite be the same without it.
Lost In Space = Blu-ray available The Time Tunnel = Blu-ray available Land Of The Giants = ????? VTTBOTS = Killing me. I'm hoping someone will "blu-ray" this TV series. Someone did such a fantastic job with the Lost In Space digital transfer....hoping the same crew will tackle the VTTBOTS transfer if it ever happens.
Once omniac assigned his liquid filth to the bottom of this empty orb, he doomed great, great grandma. The responsibility for such an action remains on his shoulders not on grandma needing a second chance
I was a kid back then and this show was aimed at me, I'm 71 years old now and I can laugh at the silliness of it knowing that it is just a television show and I still love it anyway brings back memories.
If the 3-star is a staff officer in the JCS, an aide to SecDef, or military attache to the President of the United States, you can bet the 4 star component or theater commander will accept the order, as it is being conveyed from a higher rank.
The only reason grandma came to life where and how she did was bc charlie failed to perform. The putrid nature she got was a direct result oh his decision snd actions however it came to pass. That he allowed her to be damaged so badly by his own lack of foresight is inexcusable...and is the reason he himself was injured by her. Rather than judgement, she deserved compassion and tutelage back then. This was a hideous gaffe by Charlie
@@rccraig7580only if a three-star general is getting orders from higher ups, then he can relay those orders to a four-star admiral and the admiral would have to follow those orders knowing that those orders are coming from the top, and we all know who the top is, don't we.🤔
I remember watching this show when I was a kid, and now as an adult, these sailors on board this sub are stupid, they make some of the biggest mistakes on this sub that would kill most people.
thank you I loved this programme as a kid
This has got to be one of my favourites I love how the Admiral did't want to upset the Captain but he sure knew how to.😅
It is called respect and maturity.
I use to run home from school to watch this wonderful series. TV was exciting in whose days. I just loved Captain Crane (David Hedison)❤.
I agree with movies Galore just below! THANKS for posting AND making it the full size screen and the correct speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quite an episode. Talented writers and actors all. Thanks for sharing.
Never missed an episode and that music.
Paul Sawtell's end theme is the most brilliant piece ever written for a television show - especially the first season where they played the longer version.
The music, indeed.
Chief said I'd been looking for this underway time🤣
I like show very much … I have see this show when I little girl 😊✨✨✨✨✨
Same here.
I loved Richard Basehart. Loved this as a kid.

Nonsensical junk. Very bad episode.
Thanks for uploading all these episodes they are great fun to watch again.

Irwin needed to write more scripts like this. The actors had a chance to do more with their chacters. Love a mystery.😊😊😊 8:16
First episode I've seen in years. It was great!
Best tv show e v e r!
This and The Time Tunnel ( original "Project Tick Tock") were childhood favorites
@@terrencemccoy8219I was in love with Lee Merriweather.
I'm glad operation tik Tok was change to The Time tunnel operation tick tock sounds more like a cartoon@terrencemccoy8219.
日本語で失礼します。リチャード・べイスハートさんは、イタリア映画フェリーニの「道」で、旅芸人役で出演されてました。このドラマのネルソン提督役は適任ですね。
日本でもテレビ放送されていました。大変懐かしいです。

Soooooo right. That's why you can hear all the *Beep-Beep-Beep* sounds of that Sonar, even when they were rigged for Silent Running! 🤪
I usto watch this show all the time.

I love the rubber suited monsters in this show.
I think that's when it started getting a bit silly delving into aliens and monsters. Preferred the spy stories best.
เป็นภาพยนตร์ที่ยอดเยี่ยม
Caroline....
If you've got'em, give us some more episodes pls 😘😘😘
Both the Flying Sub & Spindrift ( Land of The Giants) designs were groovy
Had plastic models of both later.
I was watching that every week ! lol
Irwin Allen was the Ed Wood of television.
Ah great show

the best felix lighter ever
Even in Hollywood, the Navy used gaslighting.
Very good movie
Admiral Nelson, "on this ship the Captain gives the orders." Ship eh..oh Irwin Allen again. I guess Harlan Ellison did jump him...
My guess just 20 minutes in to this episode makes me think the Captain is up for a promotion and they’re pulling his chain to test his medal!
Of all the actors who starred Irwin Allen's TV shows, Richard Basehart was undoubtedly the best; an "actor's actor".

Basehart , great actor.
Yes but I favor Guy Williams.
Richard is a Goodyear actor, but i favor David Hedison
I was 9 years old when this was new. Not something a 9 year would like.
Why not. 🤔
That sub would fly at the end of some episodes.
Timeless !
Love to see a redo of better yet a new continuation!
1:32 The NAVY never takes orders from the “Chair Force”…NEVER!!
Still fascinating though it's a bit dated. Loved this as a child
Loved that auld soner ding ding ____they had the same thing in the penguins auld sub to in bayman hehe.
That's so we knew it was a nuclear submarine that had special veapons, yah
@@terrencemccoy8219thank you Mr chekov.😅
By this time in 2024 the US should have an entire fleet of submarines like the Seaview.
The Flying Sub FS1 (flight deck interior and picture at the Nelson Institute office only seen) and The Futuristic Jet Bandit Attack Bomber along with the Submarines SSRN Seaview and the Test Sub all in the same episode.
Hi Marcus, how are you doing? It's nice to see TH-cam's number one Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea trivia expert back in action!
I love to watch this every time it came on.
That constant beep beep be-bip in the background would drive me nuts. A sub with it's own Black Site torture device.

Era muito bom esse tempo televisao devia passar de novo no canal aberto
This is the true definition of gaslighting...
This is one of the best "Crane mind fuck" episodes in the series, second only to Nightmare.
Lost In Space = Blu-ray available
The Time Tunnel = Blu-ray available
Land Of The Giants = ?????
VTTBOTS = Killing me.

I never realised the submarines had that much room in them. 16:07 lol
They don't from what I hear, you have to remember this is just a television show, they always take liberties with TV shows.
Well, this one is better than the one with Vincent Price and his alien puppets!
Submarine duty is tough and risky. May get one promoted better with better psy.
I loved this show but find it hard to watch now as the writing is obviously aimed for kids.

Hah hah....dust for finger prints...whole HAND Prints...can't fake all that !
The saboteur was wearing a Mission Impossible style mask. Is that considered plastic surgery as the admiral mentioned in the last scene?
19:00 I SAID MOVE!
Sub was always too close to the surface.
When the sub is going down on a 40deg angle then why is the interior 0 deg angle.
Artificialy manipulated gravity of course...
Just another interisting little new projekt from the Admiral 😉😂

(Flying) subbed.
The old days.. A 4 Star would never take orders from a 3 star. They got their military rank continuity off.
My father, weapons instructor in the marines. Ruined every cowboy film for us kids by getting very upset if a six shooter shot 7 or more bullets.

Is a Lt. General's rank higher than a four star Admiral? He's giving Nelson orders.
Very Good question
